Do not use this service
Do not use this service! I paid $100 and have recieved 1 lead. There is no way to message potential applicants and when I contacted support, there has been no response. I used zillow for free and recieved 11 inquires and have set up 5 tours in just 4 days.

Definitely a scam site
Definitely a scam site. Prices are way under what the actual listing is going for, and that is even IF these places are actually for rent. From other reviews I have read, some are asking for deposits/app fees, and are actually getting them! I set up a date and time for a tour, and nobody was there when I arrived. I called the number as instructed, but went straight to voicemail. Got a text that said I was late for my showing and had to reschedule. Rescheduled for today and was given instructions on where to enter, only to be stood up AGAIN! A girl that lived in the building was passing by and I had asked if she knew who would be showing any apartments that were for rent. She wasn't sure that there was any apartments for rent . She said sometimes the ads are scams. Which at that moment I realized she was correct and I took a better look at the site and realized that every apartment for rent for 20 miles in each direction from me all have that same phone number and have been for rent for sometimes two plus years! So on top of this being a scam, it's also quite dangerous. I wasn't even thinking today going to look at an apartment by myself when it could totally be somebody that's just setting you up for something horrible to happen.
Writing reviews don't appear to go through on their site making it useless for its intended goal.
Funnily enough, writing a review to say that writing reviews don't appear to go through on their website.
Love Redfin..... Rent.com is another story
Love Redfin. Use it daily. Their rental listing arm rent.com is another story altogether. Starting listing a property that is in my Redfin dashboard. You would think given that this is a Redfin company there would be a seamless way just to add the property details and photos. NOPE....you start from scratch.
Most disturbing is they don't want to tell you any costs up front. You must create the listing first which includes uploading photos, descriptions, etc. I found this suspicious almost like a bait and switch. You should be able to see pricing, then pick a plan THEN create the listing.
Once I saw the pricing I bailed out because Zillow offers the same services for free (almost) and I've never had one issue. I'm sticking with Zillow.

Worse I ever you put in the place you want to live they give you everything but that place if you want to live somewhere else that's what you would have put it's just terrible no use even wasting your time or put in your house on rent.com ridiculous
SCAM
SCAM - they make you pay $100+ to list a property. Then they'll deactivate your listing without notice and make you pay another $100 to list. I doubt the listing they put up the first time is real.

I'm located in Illinois and utilized Zillow and Rent.com through Redfin to promote my rental property. I incurred no cost with Zillow, while I paid $99.99 to Rent.com. Zillow generated 33 leads within a week, whereas Rent.com resulted in only 2 leases. I strongly endorse Zillow based on my positive experience.

What a scammer site
What a scammer site. None of their postings/listings are legit. You make an appointment to tour and they cancel every time. WHAT A WASTE IF TIME.
Use a legitimate site like Zillow or a REAL realtor.
Rent.com is a SCAM!!!!
Rent.com Harassment & Potential Fraud
This company Rent.Group a subsidiary of Redfin obtained my email address without my authorization from a listing they put up on keylasso.com. There were no security checks such as email verification, so I started receiving emails confirming apartments in an area far from where I live. I contacted rent.support@rent(dot)com on August 23, they do not have a dedicated channel for fraud. I was told on August 24 that I would stop receiving emails. I did not. During this time, Rent.Group gave out my email address to third parties, who went on to send me messages. When I told th third parties to stop, I did not authorize these emails, they kept sending me emails. I did not stop receiving emails until September 5. I believe this violates the CANSPAM act. I asked them to give me a write up of what happened in addition to providing a resolution so this would not happen again, ie email verification (I asked them if they would be liable for fraud on their websites but they did not want to answer), also I wanted them to create a channel for fraud and aim for a 24 hour resolution time, my resolution time was approximately 2 weeks, again I believe this is a violation of CANSPAM. I also am upset that they basically profited from my information.
They state they are a trusted listing provider...
They state they are a trusted listing source, which undergoes a strict verification process to help ensure that the properties they share are real and trustworthy. This is absolutely false. Today my home was listed as a rental property available for rent for $1500/mo. I own this home - there's public record of it...so how are they able to list property without verifying ownership? They are just as much at fault as the scammer that posted the listing. Or maybe they're one in the same? While they agreed to take down the listing in 24 hours, had my realtor not called me, I would never have known about this fake listing. And how safe is it to let others know the home is available for rent today - as if it's vacant. That's a safety issue.
Discriminatory against African American female
This company website shows the emloyees and not 1 African American female discrimination is not over and I will not support
Use free alternatives!
Not a single applicant reached out from rent.com for my rental in a 25 day period. Not to mention they charged $70 for the post. Another rental website which did not charge a dime has sent me more than 15 applicants. Rent.com also denied refunding my $70 after doing nothing for me. Stay away from rent.com!
So many better options. Horrible experience
Do not post rental listings with Rent dot com/Redfin. It is very expensive, you dont get any leads and their customer service is horrible. Use other apps as Zillow, it is free and you get way more leads.
THIS IS A SCAM WEBSITE

Inexcusably out of date on their pricing!
Literally listing at HALF the rate the apartment is actually going for!
Scammers that took my application fee
Scammers that took my application fee. The actual leasing company said you must drive by the house and contact the number on the FOR RENT sign in the yard. Not these individual sites. But if youre relocating from out of town you cant do that.
Scammy Website
I would leave zero stars if i could. They claim to have "verified" rentals, but I have seen 2 different occasions where the rentals are not verified and are actually scam posts.
Also, their automated telephone system will never let you talk to a person, just leave a message or wait on hold, and their email and facebook messenger only offer automated replies. I would not recommend anyone using this website.
