This purports to be a serious organisation. It's just one bloke - probably in his mum's basement. The main number just goes through to the same bloke every time. They take your money and then refuse to provide any service. Also - the brands that they claim to be associated with (Purple Bricks, Cambridge Uni etc) have never heard of them. Total scammers.

I have paid for the service on the 16th of June. I had to call them to make sure that the prospective tenant received the package for reference, as they had clearly lost my application. The prospective tenant completed her part on the 28th of June. It is now the 8th of July, I have made 5 calls, left two voice messages, and called the private number of the agent who answered me the first time. Today I finally managed to speak with the same agent I spoke with last time, and he has already told me twice, with a gap of one hour in between, that I would receive an email in 15 minutes. I am really losing hope as I am on the 4th unanswered call today.

I've used Rentchecks since I started letting property many moons ago. Due to low churn of tenants, I've not used them for a while. My recent and ongoing experience is abysmal.

Just progressing the applications is a futile endeavour. I have left voicemails (as no one picks up) and numerous emails have been sent with no response. I just want to speak to someone about the report!

I am even considering starting, and paying again elsewhere. One applicant still outstanding and the tenants are giving me earache because they also want to know where they stand!

THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. rent guarantee insurance purchased. Five months later no money and 58 telephone calls to them. No one picks up or ‘he’ as it appears to be the same guy for all departments 🤣. He pretends to transfer you then cuts you off.

I have been trying to get in contact with RentChecks.com customer services for a few weeks now. No response or resolution found - I have emailed several company emails and also used the given phone line number - no response.

Awful. Paid for the advanced referencing check. Was unable to see any applications on my file. Eventually got through to someone from customer service who said they'd have it available by the end of that day. It then appeared on my file, but when you open the document it says "file invalid". I have been trying for the past week to call, email and do the online chat to get someone to sort it. No-one answers or gets back to you. Have paid for a report I cannot access. Really disappointing.

When I download the report from my dashboard it merely comes up with an error message. You have not emailed me the report and there is no point in giving me your number, because I have tried calling it every day for the past week and no-one answers.

We have moved from our previous provider as they were taking an age to process applications. Rentchecks never let us down and we get full overseas and land registry data in the report which is great for our landlords. This was a really great recommend and I also recommend them if you need a quality service

Having tried to contact customer services several times with no success, I eventually got through to the owner Drew Weymont. He was unhelpful, unprofessional and particularly rude. Due to this I took my business to a far more reputable and trustworthy supplier with whom I'm very happy with. Please don't waste your time or money with this useless company

What is happening with Rentchecks.com, can't get through at all and this is day 4 of trying - calls to 2 different departments, direct emails and online messages too!!! If they are folding surely a message or something should be an instant reply/telephone message to advise.

Fast and professional service from start to finish. Their ID tech was impressive and because I have had a bad experience with poor reference agencies Rent Checks were a breath of fresh air

I struggled to find tenant referencing services who covered foreign applicants. My landlord association recommended rentchecks.com and what a find! Clear, reasonably priced and even gave me a free rent warranty in case of future problems. Luckily my tenants have been in for a year without any issues but nice to have the safety blanket. I phoned rentchecks to ask about a potential business lease and the girl could not have been more helpful. If only other companies were this good

Our landlords have to be sure that their potential tenants are reliable with clear credit & verified income. We ask them all to use rentchecks.com to check them out & the service & reporting is always first class. Having used them for over 10 years & hundreds of tenant reports I am very qualified to review their service. I understand that they now have live chat as the phone queues could take a while. I would certainly not rent a property without using these guys first.

I made the mistake of using a rival company for a let 2 years ago and it ended in tears- well a non paying tenant to be precise. The last let I went through Rentchecks.com and they identified a fraudulent applicant before accepting my current tenant who has been brilliant. I will not rent a property again without consulting rentchecks as I know first hand that they do the right checks and protect us landlords from expensive problems

Having not rented for many years I did not know what to expect. Anyway this company were given me by the new landlord and they were 100% amazing. My report was completed on the same day and their support staff were really helpful!

Very good experience with this company that deserves a positive review. Excellent customer support on online chat & telephone. 4 hours to deliver my full report. It was slightly more expensive for the same day service but it was worth that for the service level provided

We have a small client property portfolio & use these guys to vet prospective tenants. We always get a great service from them & our account manager (James) never fails to keep us in the loop!

Avoid this company. I have used them for several years but something has gone wrong recently. They have taken the fee for supplying references but have not done so. Not answering phone or emails. I would like a full refund but do not expect to receive anything of the kind.

Just awful. Needed a credit report for a rental. Nothing but problems. Even the "support line" was unhelpful- couldn't solve a log in problem, rude service, asked unnecessary personal questions "why don't you have a lap top?" Gave up and went elsewhere after spending $12.95 for a report I could not access. I do not recommend.

horrible customer service. was left totally in the dark on the progress of my application. Would not recommend.

Very poor customer service, multiple errors made on rent checks part to date and can not get in contact to resolve issues as they do not answer the phone or respond to email !! Will not be using again !
