Short walk from the airport, but easy to find. Quick process checking in and even quicker checking out. No fees and didn't hit us with any "damage" fees. One of the cheaper options I could find, but ended up with a quality experience.

We were in Iceland for two weeks over Christmas. For our road trip we drove from Reykjavik to Höfn. we had booked an SUV with spikes. The condition of the car was excellent. Picking up and dropping off at the airport is easy.

The location being right next to the airport made this rental car company very convenient and it easy to start our trip as soon as we landed. We compared several companies, and they had by far the best options to specialize the rental to our needs. The car served us well on every type of road without a single problem. A major bonus was the gas discount! While small, it made a huge difference on our lengthy road trip. If we ever come again, we are definitely renting from them and have already referred them to several friends planning a trip!

The booking was simple and quick despite the high season in Iceland. Last minute booking worked great.
The car I ordered wasn't available so I was upgraded and enjoyed a better car instead of a lesser one!
The staff was also very friendly, patient and efficient.

My experience with Reykjavikcars was excellent. Even though I arrived at the airport at 2:30 am, there was staff available to assist me. Everything was ready and the process was very quick. The car was exactly what I had requested (7 seats) with an overhead trunk. It was in very good condition and didn't give me any problems during the rental period. The return was also very easy and fast. I'm very happy with the experience and will definitely use them again, as I travel frequently for family reasons.

Service , cost and clean cars! Among several car rental companies they were the most reasonable price, Quick pickup from the airport, they were helpful to keep my reservation even my flight was delayed a day later. Car was clean and in excellent condition. Delivery in Reykjavik downtown was fast and smooth.

I hired a car un May’25 from Reykjavik Cars and couldn’t have been more impressed with the service.

The location is incredibly convenient — just a short walk from Keflavík Airport, which makes arrival and departure completely stress-free. After a flight, being able to collect the car without waiting for a shuttle is a real bonus.
The vehicle itself was spotless, well maintained and exactly as described. The booking process was straightforward, with clear communication throughout. What really stood out, however, was the return system. Dropping the car off was remarkably simple and efficient — quick, well organised, and clearly designed with travellers in mind.

Easy pickup and dropoff. The car was in great condition. Best competitive prices.

Good communication, smooth pick up and drop off. Only downside was that the car we rented was pretty used and was showing its age.
