I am very happy, even though only a week has passed. So far, everything is fine, with no pain and a very easy recovery. The doctor is very attentive and available.

I recently had bilateral LASIK surgery, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

The consultation process was thorough, with multiple eye tests to confirm I was a good candidate. Dr. Ricardo Portugal, my surgeon, explained everything in detail and reassured me that LASIK would be a quick and safe procedure in my case.

The surgery itself was surprisingly fast—about 10 minutes per eye. I was given numbing drops, so I felt no pain, only mild pressure. The most uncomfortable part was having to stare at the laser while it worked, but it was over before I knew it. The staff guided me through every step, which really helped ease my nerves. I especially want to thank Nurse Mariana, who was incredibly kind before and after the procedure.

Immediately after surgery, my vision was slightly blurry, but I could already feel a huge difference within minutes—and there was no real pain. The nurse instructed me to rest with my eyes closed for a few hours, but by the end of the day, I experienced a mild headache, but it was easily relieved with medication and nothing too concerning.

By the next morning, my vision had already improved significantly, and within 24 hours, I could see almost perfectly. My prescription was tested at 0.00!

There were some minor side effects at first, such as light sensitivity and halos around lights at night, but these have been gradually fading over time.

It has been exceptional since the day one I contacted Dr Ricardo’s team. Marina took care of all the necessary administration and Dr Ricardo well explained about my Lasik process and got the job done. I’m now on my recovery after the surgery.

No pain, quick, efficient, no red eyes, no signal at all that i had an intervention, immediately started seeing, I was operated to both eyes in 2 following days. Both my syster and father (93 years old) had been also operated by Dr Ricardo with great success after prior bad experiences with other doctors.
