Its way past time that rightmove updated it search options to stop estate agents manipulation of the results e.g. allowing an entry showing “offers over” without the ability to remove those results... See more

Your Move Darlington
Both my husband and I were introduced to Hannah and David, at our home to evaluate our house for selling, they were very professional.
We were then passed into the save hands of Sharon, she has kept us updated, answered our questions. She was efficient and skilful. Thank you Sharon

They only respond to emails when it benefits them.

Our house has been listed for just over a week with an incorrect property sale history on the main page, and despite repeated efforts to get it corrected via our estate agent, it is still wrong. The Rightmove data quality team removed our house photos from a neighbour’s sale history on a linked postcode search page. But our neighbour’s house sale history is still showing on the main Rightmove page for our house.

These estate agents and landlords advertising propertys for rent are very discriminating against people in desperate need of housing via u.c or who have children or disabilities, this greedy money hungry website needs to be shut down and investigated under cover asap.

Website has gone slow and clunky again after "improvements". I hope this is a work in progress for their sake.

As a landlord I'm frequently on Rightmove. Sadly Rightmove have added animated ads. There's a reason why people use ad blockers and that is because animated ads are distracting. So Rightmove wants you to be distracted whilst making the important decision of which property to buy! Static ads are fine, it's only since animated ads existed that people are blocking them with ad blockers. Ad blockers don't block everything and so now I'm distracted from the purpose of visiting their website. I'm minimising the window so it's half the width of the screen which helps. Rightmove will no longer be my first choice. Zoopla has animated ads but they can be blocked should a person wished to do so. So, well done Rightmove for driving your customers to the competition.

When you like a property and email to view with a day why does no one ever email you back, sometimes your not in a position to talk.

Very impressed with the Customer service !
This is the second time I have contacted Rightmove, with two individual problems, but on each occasion I have been dealing with RICH, who has replied immediately, and been more than helpful in all aspects of the problems !

Having instructed an estate agent to market our apartment and instruct Rightmove back in September 2024 we were hopeful that we would get a buyer before the spring. However despite 4000 “hits” on Rightmove we were bewildered why nobody wanted to view the apartment. We realised after 4months that the street scene was incorrect. This was corrected after our estate agent contacted Rightmove. Yet again this week and still no viewings it was discovered that for some unexplained reason Rightmove had the incorrect area and also placed our apartment in the middle of a main road. This is despite having the correct address and postcode from day one. We hold Rightmove totally responsible for losing potential viewers/ buyers for last 6 months the apartment has been on the market.
Completely unacceptable.

I am an estate agent in north London and i needed help adding a premium listing for a new property. i spoke to a lady called Chloe who helped me setup a new account and talked me through adding a new premium listing. she was so helpful, kind and got me through it with ease!

I handed over personal info (name, email, address) on the understanding an evaluation would be provided of my house. Only AFTER providing that information do they tell me no evaluation is available without further contacting estate agents. It seems I handed that information over on false pretences.

Some time ago I wrote a review detailing some of the bugs and issues with the website. In the intervening period, not a single one of the issues has been addressed. Indeed, even more have shown up.
You can't save a search with detached houses and semi-detached. You have to include terraced. You can't save detached, semi-detached, terraced and bungalow, because it will only allow the first three to be saved.
The problems could run to ten pages. The constant errors, the failure of even the most basic tasks, the lack of essential functionality, the inability to organise properties other than make straightforward lists, which often don't work necessitating you to delete them and start again.
Where are the options to transfer properties between lists? To auto-remove properties from lists when they're sold? Why can't we resize a search area without it resetting the search criteria? Why can't we order lists by date saved? Why can't we edit searches rather than having to create new ones and delete the old ones? If I'd have turned in an IT project like this at school I'd have got a fail.
Rightmove don't seem to care whether the agents post accurate information or not. You search for houses with parking and get page after page of 'on-street parking'. Search for gardens, get three square yards of concrete. Search for houses and you get lodges, or plots of overgrown land. About one in five results match the criteria, or at least that bit of it we're able to enter. Why can't we search on leasehold or freehold? Why is there listing after listing with no information other than 'ask agent'. If I wanted to 'ask agent' I wouldn't bother looking on the site, I'd just ring them up.
There's no reason why the site shouldn't compel agents to include basic, correct information, and to search on that information. Instead, the customer has to spend hours wading through nonsense, misrepresentation and evasiveness in order to identify the few properties that match their search. We know some agents try every trick in the book to sell, but Rightmove should not be complicit in this slimy approach. If I were cynical I'd think it was all about the money.
