Just done my CBT with Jon at RJH training trough Superbike Factoryin Macclesfield, a throughly enjoyable day, no pressure, really relaxed training and a really nice guy.
Thanks for a great day 🤗🤗🤗

Just done my CBT with Shami and he was amazing! Would definitely recommend anyone who’s thinking about it to get booked in with Shami, great instructor. Thank you 😄
Great experience!
Considering it was the first time I’d been on a bike in over 30 years, I went on to pass my A unrestricted after completing my DAS, initially under the instruction of Tony for the taster session then Jon for the rest of the course. Great introduction by Tony and Jon built my confidence up quickly but effectively in order to complete a confident CBT and pass Mod 1 and Mod 2. It was an absolute pleasure and most of all really enjoyable! From the booking process with Charlie to the practicals with the guys. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RJH to anyone.
Turn up late you'll lose your fee
I really wouldn't recommend doing your training here you show up 10 minutes late and you lose your fee without any training that's what I went through and lost 180 pounds i was very Annoyed
Had some excellent training
Had some excellent training, first with Tony for Mod 1 at the Atherton test centre. Pointed out my mistakes and how to correct them. Then Mod 2 with Jon, out on the roads with some excellent tips including his 6 rules for roundabouts.
Passed both Mods with only 2 minors on Mod 1 and 0 on Mod 2. I would highly recommend RJH.
Finally managed to pass MOD2
Finally managed to pass MOD2 and get the chance to pass on my huge thanks to the entire RJH team. From Abbie and Charlie in the call centre, to John the teacher, little Scott and owner Rob, I can honestly say I’ve had fantastic experiences with all. I’ve had my failures and can’t blame anyone but myself for any of them, but the help, support and decency from all I have encountered has kept me in line and on track. Can’t thank you enough and hope the new structure sees you all go from strength to strength.
Tester and CBT
For human experience while learning new skills, two things are crucial:
1. Learners willingness and readiness to learn
2. Teachers' true passion to teach people and awareness that we all coming with different experiences and learn on different speed
To learn how to ride a motorcycle, especially with absolute 0 experience can be thrilling, but at the same time scary, even terrifying and overwhelming for a learner. And that is where any school and their teachers (instructors in this case) can show their full shine.
Following a bad experience with another school, I gave myself time to rethink and potentially give up (as my confidence went from 0 to minus 10).
But, by chance I ran on the RJH training group (they sneak in on my social media :)) and I decided to give it another go.
So, how did it go?
After sending enquiry - response from the office team was almost immediate. I have a chance to talk via email and via phone with the booking team within 24 hours.
Charlie has been ready to listen and willing to help.
Therefore, thank you Charlie for listening to my rant :) and connecting me with RJH Chorley (because that little Honda Grom was there)
I was ready to start my journey...
My 1st tester session was with Jon H. (The IT man :))
I am so grateful to Jon H. to be there that day, with his patience, understanding and willingness to be out with me on that horrible wet day (the sky decided to open to the earth and rain was horrible).
On my 1st CBT day things went a bit backward. Tony W. (The policeman :)) was there and my performance was worse than ever. We finished the morning part and decided I am not ready. Reflecting on that day I would put out 2 things:
1. tiredness (as CBT came after whole week of long shifts for me)
2. Anxiety - as we were group of 4 and 2 students had previous experience and they were picking up on things with such an ease I could not follow
Thank you Tony for patience and fantastic constructive critics and for words of encouragement to continue and not to be upset, angry and disappointed with myself(I wasn't - actually I went that day home so proud on myself :))
That day Rob (The Boss) was there and we booked another tester and CBT.
My 2nd tester was with Scott J. - the day was so funny. Scott relaxed yet on spot approach and encouragement has been vital. I really love your huge bike with a low seat ;)
My 2nd CBT day came and I was dying of fear in general :). Paul P. was on this part of my journey and he made me more relaxed through the day.
OK I died one more time when he put the Honda CBF out for me, as I thought I am not able to get on that bike, nor do anything on it. But, we gave it a go. Thanks to my fellow companion on that CBT day as he allowed me few extra circles around the pod alone to see if I can try CBF
On end of that 2nd CBT day I was tired, exhausted and in pain :) :) :), but I got my certificate
I would like to say a huge thank you to the RJH team for the warm and welcoming feeling, understanding, support, encouragement, all constructive criticism and all advice given during the testers, training and for later.
The RJH team is friendly, with lots of banter, yet with a highly professional approach. You can feel welcomed and they are ready to assist, guide and teach you. And above all they are thinking about your safety.
There were no rolling eyes, nasty comments or shouting.
All that helped me to achieve my 1st baby step towards full licence.
I know, I know... many will say that is just CBT - keep your comments for yourself please :)
RJH team you are fantastic and you are my stars
Keep doing great work you already do and become even better
Thank you so so much
And I hope to see you again on the rest of the journey

Wax on,wax off.

Amazing instructor Tony
Absolutely amazing day yesterday with Tony in Manchester. Went through everything in detail, lots of patience, encouragement and support from Tony throughout the day. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and can’t praise Tony enough. Absolute super star of an instructor!! Thanks for having us. Leanne and Kieran

I did my CBT with a excellent instructor
Thank you Robert
The course is developed in a way that safety is a critical part of the day. Every part of what needs to be done to be successful on the road is covered with great professionalism
I recommend RJH to everyone and have spoken to friends and family to contact the company for future lessons
Overall not a bed experience
Starting with my CBT at Chorley - very good, training area a touch small but the content was delivered excellently and the road ride was superb, the instructor Jay had a real calm and confident side to him which was good and the knowledge he passed on was great, this was my first ever time on a geared bike lol.
MOD 1 - Eccles- Very good, really enjoyed learning new things and the way to handle a bike in wet conditions, managed a scrape through on my MOD 1, that was nothing to do with the excellent instruction just my sausage fingers! I did arrive 20 minutes early and was made to stand outside the gate like a naughty school boy, maybe invite people in for a brew while they wait for the instructor lol
MOD 2 - I had three goes at this bad boy ! like to get my moneys worth :) again brilliant instructor who took us around the test route on our way to the test centre ! He made me feel relaxed and confident and ready to pass , although after 3 goes at the same test centre i should be passing.
A brief appearance at Eccles by Richard Hammond brighten up my day, over all very good instruction but the management should keep the brew area topped up so the students can have a hot brew in the driving snow and rain.
Many thanks for getting me through and the R1 is on order.
Ripping off a pensioner
As a 69yrs-old pensioner-novice, I realised that I would need more than just a couple of hours training and paid for several DOUBLE sessions which impacted me greatly financially and when my brilliant instructor ( Nick Macmillan ) was satisfied that I was ready to go for the cbt, I said that I would like a one-on-one test. I then contacted the office and explained that I would be more comfortable that way. They said I would have to pay DOUBLE which was FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS. I said that I had ALREADY SPENT SIX HUNDRED AND FORTY POUNDS with them and asked if they would take that into consideration by way of charging me a little less which they REFUSED POINT BLANK.
So then,by the time I took (and gained) my cbt they had charged me ELEVEN HUNDRED AND FORTY POUNDS.
They were fully aware that I am a pensioner and frankly didnt care a toss. I feel ripped-off and aggrieved about this company and would not advise anyone in my situation to even consider spending money with them.
Make of that what you will.
In the meantime I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to my instructor, Nick Macmillan for his expertise, patience, kindness and good humour.
Abbie has been most accommodating to…
Abbie has been most accommodating to ensure I can have training at times that suit me. Nick the instructor is first class which is why have requested my next 2 sessions with Nick, Abbie arranged this easily. First class safe service.
RJH CBT Test
RJH CBT Test
I would like to share my positive experience at the Eccles branch of RJH CBT training last Sunday. The session was not only highly informative but also enjoyable. Our instructor, Shami Lee, was firm but fair and a pleasure to work with. He instilled confidence in us throughout the test and was never judgmental if we made mistakes; instead, he helped us perfect our skills. I plan to take my full license at Eccles.

Done my CBT at Chorley and had a great experience both times. Both instructors jay and nick were patient and gave me much confidence I needed.
RJH are absolute con artists
RJH are con artists! Steer clear and go to a reputable company, who charge significantly less and who are invested in your success (rather than bleeding you dry financially and destroying your confidence) !!!
The “instructor” if you can call him that was a racist, sexist idiot whose communication was disorganised, confusing and incredibly rude and patronising!
CBT is rushed and instructor too busy on his mobile phone to pay attention to anyone, vaping at every opportunity whilst playing sergeant major and mocking learners.
Honestly, absolute cowboys! Take note of the terrible reviews and don’t make the same mistake that we did!
I will be using BikeSmart moving forwards!
RJH ECCLES #CRUD #BIGJON
Rjh are full of DIRT HOLES don’t recommend atall just complete CRUD
First of all I would like to say…
First of all I would like to say massive thank you for instructors: Nick Macmillan, Graham Cook, Johnatan Hough and John Bilbrough - only these gentleman's believed in me and knew I can ride a bike, I just need some how stop anxious. Thank you, I've done it now, I've PASSED MY MOD2 WITH DIFFERENT SCHOOL and best ever BIKER and INSTRUCTOR help!❤️🏍 He teached me, explained and believed in me!
Now, negative things, my experience was awful. I have registered to do DAS in Wigan site, but ended up in Eccles as school never had lessons or test timed from Wigan in a timely manner (why? As they have more sites, than they have instructors to do the job).
- One of the instructors Shami-Lee comments awful (his girlfriend still can't ride a bike after few attempts) - he is not mindfull at all, don't think what he says (some comments can stick and beat the test anxiety for pupil will be much harder, even he is doing very well on a training pad) Shami-Lee aswell need less eat during the teaching process (is this professional?)and spend more time with students - everyone learn at different speed.
- The facilities in Barton (MOD1 training pad) awful, no toilets, only straight line to learn, nothing similar to test centre. And it is only 3h... Shared with another student.. You have to travel from Eccles to Barton training pad than go back as well.. so you get maximum 1h to learn before your test (Please keep in mind, other schools does training in a test centre three times longer sessions before your actual test, and it is included in you Training package, and It is not more expensive - even cheaper)
- Facilities in Eccles: dirty, cold and no paper/plastics cups in a classroom so you can't have a drink during lunch time. High vis: dirty, broken zips, helmets: dirty and smells.
- Abbie - the call centre manager, never answer phone straight away (she will call you back but never know when), she booked my test but not booked it as she should! She send me a confirmation email for the test but not booked fully with DVLA, same thing she did with another guy in a 2 weeks time! Very little thinking "outside the box at all", I booked my test myself quicker and told her what she need to do next, to make sure I can go to do test as quick as possible.
- The school let people to do the tests even they are not ready, why? As they will fail and come back to do the test. Looks like they have good profit from taking you on the test.
On the end, never ever again I would come back to this school, never recommend them to others. There plenty other schools which support you, understanding and help.
J.S.
I can highly recommend RJH
I can highly recommend RJH if you are looking at getting a bike licence, I did the DAS course and with the help of the training pasted my CBT, Mod1 and Mod2 first time.
Thanks to Nick, John and Tony my the 3 trainers for putting me on the right path to passing first time.
