VIP rewards is a scam
I placed an order online using VIP rewards and cashback. When I went to checkout after submitting everything I was showed that the 16.00$ for vip rewards was taken off as well as the cash back. Only after placing the order and charging my card was it shown to me that the 16.00 was reduced to 7.13, charging me 10 more dollars than I had agreed to when submitting my payment. I have NEVER had this happen in store nor seen anything like it so when I called they claimed that they had dynamic pricing based on the cashback that the customer EARNED by spending money, that is not found on the shopping, checkout, or anywhere in my VIP membership information and again, has not been in any in person interactions. They did nothing to help when calling, membership cancelled, I’ll go somewhere who appreciates their customers and is true to their word with deals
It's a SCAM
It's a SCAM. I bought shoes in their store back in 2023 and only now noticed they were charging $49 fee annuarly for VIP program.
BUT the thing is their emails were inviting me to join VIP pretending I'm not VIP.
When I logged in to check, I wasn't VIP on the site as well.
Calling support for 2 days and no response for 50 minutes saying their line is busy.

RRS delivers quickly, in good condition and has good footwear and clothing that is reasonably priced.
In addition, returns are easy and never questioned…. they do strive for customer satisfaction which shouldn’t be underestimated.

Terrible and slow refund
Placed the order and cancelled itimmediately (before they shipped it out) hoping to use the credit to buy another shoes. Contacted more than 3 times about this. Slow to solve this. Blamed the "accounting department" for the delay. Called again and again, eventually after 9 calendar days, the rerpresentative said she would "bump it up to the accounting, but could still take two more business days".
I immediately cancelled my VIP membership and don't want to have anything to do with them anymore. Already spent 1500 with them but regretted about that.
Besides that extremely unpleasant incident, their selection of shoes is quite limited. Many models are lacking the best colors. Also other place has better return policy (some 365 days) than their membership.

Told me to pay them full price and then they would discount the shoes and refund me later.....??? WHAT?? Wasted 2 hours of my day trying to surprise my wife. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

I ordered shoes on 1/07/25. The order just kept saying processing. My credit card was initially charged. On 1/20/25 I contacted the company. They told me my order had never been processed and I would have to reorder the item. How frustrating. I wonder how long they would’ve kept saying “processing “? Not a reliable company. Had bad experiences with them in the past, but today they tried to sign me up for the recurring membership at my cost while I tried to buy a pair of socks and a stropfwaffel. After five min, I said "I've had issues in the past with the membership and your stores, so no way I'm taking it." Store rep (Shrewsbury NJ) said "then why do you do business with us then?" I said "good point" and left.

Poor customer service
Poor customer service. My order was cancelled twice without being notified and they wanted me to reenter my order again. No thanks since the problem is on their end. I have been a customer for 33 years and lived at the same address for a long time. The quality of customer is why I am stopping doing business with them.

I had a very bad experience with this company. They categorized my account 3 times as fraudulent, although I used 3 of my legit credit cards. At the end all three orders were cancelled and I didnt get the gear I needed.
SHADY AF
SHADY AF. As others here have said, their VIP program is a total scam operation. Too bad. They could be a good legit company but they try to make if difficult to quit the program and keep trying to charge you even if you quit.
If you order frequently then you should consider being a VIP customer.
I've been a RRS satisfied customer for 35 years. I've had a few returns during the 90 day policy & received a replacement or a credit.

Their online and website service is totally CRAP.
Actually I loved their exchange policy, though I never get the benefit. Recently I placed an online order on their website. But next day, it was cancelled. So I called their CS and I was able to get through after 30 minutes holding. I placed an order for a different color over the phone, but after several days with no communication, I called to check when it would be shipped. They told me they still didn’t know and that it was on its way. They said they’d let me know once the tracking number is available. At that point, I thought it would be better to go to the store and buy it, so I asked to cancel the order, but they said they can't cancel it. They told me I would have to receive the order and return it. How an order cannot be cancelled even before it is not yet shipped out? It's completely ridiculous. Their website and online service is a crap.

Up sale up sale up sale! Push push push! Geesh so much for walking in and picking a shoe. They make you run on a treadmill then stand on a machine to look at your arch. Then they try and push arch supports then socks then a VIP membership for $50 a year to save $15 on 1 pair of shoes and then don't forget they want you to buy their apparel. No thanks my husband and I left. The Running Store is so much better.
