I cancelled my trial and this app still charged me. I've been to the bank and BBB about this company. Even though I was charged I've never had access to any premium features until I went to BBB asking for my money back. Instead of returning my money, Roadtrippers activated a premium account for their app five months after they charged my account. I never wanted the app and cancelled it on time. Instead of returning my money they gave me access to their useless app. This company is fraudulent and shady.
What a disappointing experience! The Roadtrippers site is intentionally deceptive and frustrating. They need to be much more transparent about the different plans available and what they cover. Now I have paid $60 for service I can't use and they refuse to refund. Such terrible customer service. I was really hoping this was going to be a helpful tool! Such a waste of time and money.
I signed up for an introductory account in 2025. I decided I did not want the service to renew because I found the website hard to use. I canceled the renewal the same year 2025. They offered to lower the price if I stayed but I told them I would not use the service. In Feb 2026 my credit card was charged a renewal. The only way to contact the company was by email which I did. I also went into my account and cancelled the renewal again. I have yet to receive a refund or have been contacted by the company. I was able to locate a phone number for the owner but it just goes to voice mail. I left a message but have not heard back. I have been forced to dispute the transaction with my bank. Stay far away from this company. If things change I’ll update.
Horrible customer service. They do not care about their customers. They bill without sending any notices for renewals, and although I haven't used the app for 1.5 years, they will not refund auto renewals that I did not sign up for and had thought were cancelled... obviously something didn't go through properly.
Unable to get my money worth out of the application.
Automatic renewal without notice wich is very deceptive to say the least.
I tried to cancel on the last day, the sytem cancelled me for the NEXT year.
Unable to find a phone nb to contact.
when trying to email the link direct you to a outlook account that I do not have and do not want.
I wish not to have to deal with company like that , no phone nb, difficult to contact, or to contact on there own term.
Stay away.
This app helped me preparing a specific itinerary for a month on the road. But I soon realised their map wasn't accurate and found myself going back to Google Maps to locate sites that Roadtripper couldn't find. I didn't use this app once during my trip and wasn't planning to renew my subscription.
However I was recently charged the renewal fee of 59€ without any notification on their part and can't get any answer to my emails. Not a good app overall!!!
PLEASE THINK ABOUT WHETHER YOU ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO AUTO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP! POLICY IS: "Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry if that recent renewal caught you by surprise. Because your membership wasn't canceled before the end of your annual subscription, it renewed for another year and is now active until August 29, 2026.
Our refund policy includes a 7-day grace period for renewals, but since this request falls outside of that window, we aren’t able to issue a refund. However, I’ve made sure your subscription is set to cancel at the end of this term, so there won’t be any further charges unless you choose to re-subscribe in the future." August 29th to today September 9th !!!! Really
I Just saw this on my CC for renewal haven't used membership in over a year due to not being able to camp. It's only been 12 days from renewal really. Now the membership sits for 11 months
Sad the way you are treated as a senior. Beware
They advertise a 4 tier membership but you can only sign up for the top two. They still tell you that on basic you can have up to 20 stops but there is no way to get that once you logged in. Also the free account gives you 1 free saved trip. Good luck getting that. When you enter the info for the trip you are given only the PRO and PREMIUM options. This is a total SCAM and bait and switch tactics. Stay away.
I used the app to plan an 1800-mile road trip. It was very easy and helpful to find places to camp or overnight and to find interesting sites to see along the way.
I used Roadtrippers Plus during a U.S. road trip in 2023 and found it helpful at the time. However, I hadn’t used the service since and was surprised to discover I had been charged $35.99 in both 2024 and 2025 through auto-renewal I wasn’t aware of. The emails went to my spam folder, so I never received proper notice.
I contacted support and explained the situation clearly; no usage since 2023, no intent to renew, but was told their 7-day refund policy made it impossible to help, despite my long-term inactivity and honest explanation.
I’ve dealt with many reputable companies who have shown empathy and discretion in similar situations. Sadly, Roadtrippers has chosen to stick rigidly to policy, even though it’s clear I got no value from the past two years of charges.
Be very cautious; auto-renewal is enabled by default, there are no meaningful reminders, and they don’t appear to make exceptions, even in obvious good faith cases. Disappointing.
The ease of organizing our trip was excellent. Due to the heat we changed the order of a couple tours, sliding the tour to another time slot with a slide up or down on the left side of the scheduled event.
Roadtrippers is very easy to use so far. I’ve only setup one trip on it so far, haven’t yet tested on the road. I think it would be even better if you could change the currency from US to Canadian dollars. Also I’m wondering how it comes up with the fuel costs as US$284 doesn’t make sense for a 4000 km trip. But I love that I can track all the details of my stops.
Excellent for trip planning but lacks the ability to send route to goggle maps or vehicle navigation.
Forced to pay even though I had canceled a month after I got it. It was not useful to me. Yet they left me as auto pay and and told credit card company I had never canceled, I bet I still can't cancel.
Just looked I have been forced to pay and do not have access. These people are thieves
I wish roadtrippers was all inclusive. What I mean is being able to plan an entire trip through roadtrippers without having to go off the app to book rooms etc. if it could be made easier to navigate to the destination and back, and add stops easier, that’d be nice.

Wonderful trip planner to house most information in one place. Easy to use and update. Useful to have 150 stops per trip so able to add smaller points along the way, I.e. restaurants, dog friendly, etc. I think a monthly calendar view of itinerary would be helpful.

I used the app for the first time. I like it very well so far. Building a trip was pretty easy, although I did use the RT app along with Atlas Obscura, Roadside America, and Google. I really like that it interfaces with Apple Car Play so well. We were on a 9 day road trip with about 8 stops per day (including restaurants and hotels). I had printed off itineraries but never needed those copies. Everything was done through the app.
I believe Roadtrippers will be well worth the cost. We’re already using it to plan our next trip.

Does not give your speed on the map vs posted speed also does not know or can find some locations to navigate to. New to this app so maybe I will have to do more research. Have been using WAZE or google map

From San Antonio TX to Fairbanks AK, and back using two different exit/entry points in the U.S., in a rented 25' CruiseAmerica RV in 25 days... We depended on Roadtrippers often to find us a place for the night where we could hook up to electric and water, use showers and restrooms, and to feel secure. There were a couple of hiccups, but all in all, it worked out wonderful, finding us the RV parks that are off the main highway, but still clean and welcoming with after-hours registration. AWESOME!!

This is a cutthroat website that is for sure not worth the money!!!!!!!!!
