Fantastic Agent!
Heb helped make our house selling experience a million times smoother than it could have been. We were so grateful to have an attentive, kind and thoughtful person working on our behalf. He even helped us on a day when he was not working to help push our sale across the line. By far the best agent we have used so far in our experience buying & selling.
Awful, awful company.
An extremely poor experience from start to finish. Robert Luff & Co appears to enable negligent and nefarious landlords rather than hold them accountable.
Over the course of our two-year tenancy in Worthing, we repeatedly reported serious issues with the property, including ongoing mould and damp. These were never properly resolved, leaving us to deal with the consequences ourselves and even pay out of pocket for dehumidification.
The property was in an unacceptable condition when we moved in, with heavily soiled carpets, and cigarette stained peeling wallpaper, despite being described as ‘professionally cleaned.’ This set the tone for the entire tenancy. Eventually we presented them with a list of action items to address, as we had just had a newborn baby and the issues were becoming a health concern. They ignored this for four months, at which point we were compelled to hand in our notice. They sent us an email acknowledging these shortcomings, saying they ‘were going to get round to them…’
At the end of the tenancy, the agency was unhelpful and dismissive, siding entirely with a landlord more interested in extracting money than maintaining a habitable property. Despite being as helpful as possible in vacating, including leaving our white goods for new tenants, and paying for the professional cleaning services recommended by the agency themselves, we were charged for unnecessary ‘repairs’ to walls and they had the cheek of trying to charge us for the already filthy carpets. Alarmingly, the same worn carpets remained and new tenants moved in without any meaningful improvements.
I would strongly advise anyone considering renting in the Worthing or Brighton area to avoid Robert Luff & Co and look elsewhere.
absolutely shocking agents
absolutely shocking agents. tried to view a property and was told I would get a call back twice from the agents dealing. didn't happen! chased twice and told agents out of office or busy. then get told all appointments booked. still no call back. unprofessional cowboys stay away from them and use a more reputable company based on their real reputation rather than superficial gracious comments. shocking service

This is based purely on interaction with Lancing branch.
Harvey Bliss X
Hi, so I would just like to say a big shout out to Harvey Bliss.
I applied for my house, and almost straight away I received a call from lovely Harvey. I was actually out for lunch with my family, however, we just hit it off and the conversation just flowed, my lunch left on the table lol.
It turns out Harvey has the same birthday as one of my children, that’s how at ease he made me feel, to get to that level of conversation.
In spite of the fact of a couple of things that did not make the criteria for our home, Harvey convinced the landlord to meet me and my dog ( pets were a no ).
A few tricks from Maggie 🐾🐾 and Harvey’s persistent voice for me, sealed the deal !
We now live in what I would describe as our dream house.
Harvey is a young man, with an old mature head on his shoulders. He is charming, he is professional, he is fantastic at his job. But he is also kind and genuine, and see’s the potential in someone like me.
My children and I fell in love with this house, and were very desperate in need to move.
My youngest was being bullied, they were turning up at our old house.
Harvey made this happen. And I will be forever grateful to him, for the rest of our lives. 🙏 My child is now thriving, where before she was overdosing and self harming 😞
Harvey changed her life, all of our lives.
He showed me that it’s not all about the rules as such, but about the trust. Harvey put his whole trust in me and I will never let him down.
This young man is going to fly in his career, because of who he is, as well as how amazingly he carries out his job. Because he is also a people person, who gets it. Who listens and understands the situation. He has empathy and I hope his parents are extremely proud. ☺️
Thank you Harvey, because, unbeknown to you, you changed our lives around, for the better. You have no idea.
Keep flying high mate. You deserve the best in life and I hope you climb that ladder to the top ! I have no doubt you will.
Loads of love, Paula and kids ( and dog and cat ) ☺️
Beautiful kid, so grown up. 🙌
Thank you 🙏 xx
Robert Luff have to be the worse…
Robert Luff have to be the worse company that I’ve ever dealt with. I telephoned them about a property advertised to let in Tarring and spoke with the lettings manager. I was told that a couple of people had been seen by the owners but no decision had been made about their suitability for the property. I asked to be kept updated. After a couple of days I again contacted the agents and asked to speak with the lettings manager, as he was the only person who was dealing with the property in question. I was told that he would call me back in an hour as he was out of the office. No call back. Over the course of the following 5 days I phoned them 3 more times and was told that he was either on another call or in a meeting. 2 weeks later I still have not been called back. I emailed the company director to complain 7 days ago and have not received any response from him either. An annoyingly, unprofessional and disrespectful company.

A very positive experience
From his very first visit, Scott from Robert Luff, made us feel comfortable and secure. He gave us full information and good advice and kept us informed regularly throughout the process. He was always concerned to take our feelings into account, given that we were selling the bungalow of our late mother, and we ended up with buyers who we were able to meet and create a good relationship with. All told, a very positive experience.

Professional, competant and got the results we wanted.
We sold three houses through David King @ Robert Luff, who acted as our sole agent. Initially we had them on the market with another firm of agents, who came up with nothing. David took over and quickly arranged viewings, managed the processes with a high degree of professionalism, stayed in regular contact, managed all parties' expectations, and was very helpful when we had the typical problems everyone encounters when selling, along with some not so typical ones. I can definitely recommend David, he did a great job for us.

Just a note to say ''Thank you'' to Jade Clapham at Robert Luff Worthing Branch who dealt with the sale of our property and was very understanding, helpful and tactful when it came to some tricky negotiating beyond 5pm! Simon & Andy

Good service from Robert Luff
We were working with Phil Bennett at Robert Luff to make an offer on a property in Hove. He did a great job of answering questions promptly, dealing with prolonged negotiations over the price and generally being very easy to deal with. Thanks!

Highly recommend using the Lancing Branch!
The team at the Lancing Branch were extraordinary through every stage of my sale and purchase!!
Thanks especially to James, Natalie and Rob Newman for making everything proceed as smoothly as possible, in fact they went above and beyond, during a very trying time.
Professional, yet friendly and personable, I would highly recommend using the team. Without their guidance and experience I think I would have had a meltdown, they certainly took the stress off of my shoulders.
They were brilliant at securing viewings for my property and for the type of property I desired. They were always punctual, polite and friendly when conducting viewings.
The communication between ourselves was fantastic, keeping me up to date about my sale and properties on the market. They found the property I desired in next to no time and made sure the sale proceeded with ease.
I would not hesitate to use them again!
Thank you guys SOO much for all your efficiency, patience, understanding and nurturing.

Unprofessional Agency
I am writing this disappointing feedback, maybe the agency will be more careful in the future about their agents when they send them to meet potential customers for viewings. Before the New Year, I found a propwrty for rent that looked spectacularly beautiful, with a pool, garage, good location, etc. Of course, at the market price. The description of the house mentioned "RECENTLY REDESIGNED". We applied for a viewing, but no one contacted us for 2 days, so we called the agency and arranged the viewing for January 7th. On the day of the viewing, someone from the agency called us to confirm the meeting once again and we were told that we would meet their manager at the property. We arrived at the street with the property and there was the first shock seeing that it was an unpaved and full of potholes access road. One of our cars is an Mercedes A45s AMG Sport, a low car. It was the ideal house, we could get over that because it was not the car I drive every day. We arrived 5 minutes early, the agent was almost 10 minutes late after the scheduled time. We were parked in the driveway waiting. Finally the manager appears and walks past us very quickly without making any contact or at least acknowledge our presence. Again, another red flag, when you try to rent a property for over £3000/month. We got out of the car and heading towards him, we looked at each other (my husband and I) because we didn't know what was happening. We didn't receive any welcome, he didn't apologize for being late, nothing! The manager was struggling to find the right key to unlock the door and with his back to us, he greeted us. Lacking manners and politeness, he finally invited us inside. During all this time, we could see that the gutters of the house (on the street) were loose in places and it was very clear how rainwater was seeping into the walls because they were damp and green, inside there was a very old smell of mould (if you know the smell of old books), walls full of mold, unpainted, the windows of the conservatory were fogged up between the two glasses, the backyard with the pool seemed effectively abandoned, unkempt. After these images, it made no sense to continue viewing and we told the manager that it was not “RECENTLY REDECORATED” at all and that that house was clearly not ready for rent. Of course, having no arguments, he told us that he would contact us the same day to show us other properties he has in his portfolio. Something that has never happened. We were not contacted, we did not receive any email, we did not receive any excuse that that house did not look anything like the pictures and that it did not look “RECENTLY REDECORATED”.
I also noticed the manager's style of dress, with a corner of his shirt sticking out of his trousers, a linty jumper over it, a sports jacket and worn-out shoes. This is how the manager of an agency was dressed when he came to meet potential customers for renting a property of that kind. For those interested, it refers to the property on Mill Lane, in Worthing.
“BIG PHIL” — Brighton’s go-to estate agent
Estate agents are, generally, not the most popular people.
So when you find a good one, it’s a helpful bonus.
Phil Bennett -- “Big Phil” — of Robert Luff and Co, has done a superb job in securing a sale for us.
Now, we are looking forward to moving on, thanks to Mr Bennett. He has shown patience and professionalism in equal measure combined with natural courtesy—even in difficult moments. No waffle. No bull. Just common sense.
If you’re looking for a smooth sale or purchase, “Big Phil” is Brighton’s go-to estate agent.

Great
On initial valuation the team were extremely kind and passionate about our house. They listened to everything we had improved and made sure to emphasise this on viewings. It was refreshing to have an agency so dedicated and knowledgeable about a property they are selling. Due to failed onward purchases etc it took a bit longer to sell, they never gave up and even helped us find an amazing property. If you are looking to sell I would recommend them, they are all very knowledgeable in their field and when viewings take place I would recommend Jane to hold them as she could sell sand to the desert! They are great and once we have finished renovating our new home we will have them back to value just in case we fancy another go around. Thank you so much to Luke, Harvey, Jane, Jade, Dom, Max, Jack and all of the team who stuck with us!

Not to be trusted
Never responds to any complaints. Properties are always a mess and they will rip you off. Keep a close eye on your deposit. They aim to claim that too. Remember the Property Ombudsman will always help

Absolutely Amazing Service!
Absolutely Amazing Service!
David at Robert Luff & Co Goring was extremely helpful, consistently staying in contact with us and keeping us updated and chasing for updates. We went through some frustrations in other areas of buying our property but David was a constant help. We felt well looked after and once the exchange went through, we were all ecstatic. Can't recommend the branch and in particular, David, enough.
