Working with Chris really made my already stressful process so much easier. After enquiring via an email, he reached out the same day and managed to book me in to meet in person. He listened to me and my situation and knew exactly the support I needed when I wasn’t 100% sure myself. Chris was quick to respond and get the documents sorted, and had lots of patience and support during the 8 weeks we worked together.

I used Robertsons for my house move and they were brilliant. Rhianne Team handled our move and she was everything you'd want - on the ball, constant communication and chased others in the chain when they weren't as prompt as they should be.

Be Careful! Unfortunately the service I received was below what you would expect from a reputable law firm. The communication was poor. I did not actually speak with one of solicitors who carried out my work. Several mistakes in email communications led to me being charged more than I was quoted. Would not recommend

I’m giving Robertsons Solicitors Cardiff 5 stars – but only because Trustpilot doesn’t allow 0.
They took 70+ days to pay my inheritance after my ID was verified on 30 September 2025.
Managing Director claimed missing-beneficiary insurance was “already in place” – no policy ever produced.
Three Subject Access Requests sent – two deliberately ignored for weeks.
Complaints Manager Rhian Whiting acknowledged my complaint on 16 December 2025 with “bear with me and I will respond fully when I am able to do so”.
The firm’s own complaints policy promises a final response within 8 weeks.
That deadline expired on 10 February 2026.
It is now March – no response, no update, no final decision.
If the Complaints Manager can ignore their own 8-week policy for over 8 weeks, what does that say about the firm’s standards?
This follows repeated non-response from fee earner Kelsey Marks (despite polite requests for updates) and Data Privacy Manager Tom Sidford.
Interest payment still awaited.
Avoid for probate or any matter requiring reliable service.

I cannot recommend Rhys Palmer and the Education Law Department at Robertsons Solicitors highly enough.
Rhys represented me in a complex set of EHCP appeals involving EOTAS provision. The Local Authority did not meaningfully engage in the process leading up to Tribunal, and the cases were both legally intricate and emotionally demanding.
On the day of the Tribunal, the legal teams negotiated and agreed the substantive changes required to meet my children’s educational needs. These included provision outside of school (EOTAS) and emotionally safe and appropriate specialist transport arrangements. The agreed plan was presented to the Judge and formally approved, with the Tribunal also ruling in our favour on the remaining disputed point.
The outcomes were excellent.
Throughout the process, Rhys was calm, strategic and highly knowledgeable. He demonstrated a clear understanding of EOTAS law and how to approach Local Authorities that are reluctant to engage. His preparation was meticulous, and he instructed an exceptional barrister who fully understood the nuances of the case and presented the arguments with clarity and authority.
He was also clear and realistic in his advice throughout, helping me understand both the legal position and the likely strategic approach at each stage. This made an enormously stressful process feel structured and manageable.
Equally important was the human aspect of the support provided. Managing multiple legal processes while caring for children with significant SEND needs is overwhelming. Rhys and his team were consistently responsive, steady and respectful. They listened, held space when things felt unmanageable, and kept the focus firmly on securing the right provision.
I would not hesitate to instruct Rhys again and confidently recommend him to any family navigating complex EHCP disputes.
