We love Rocksteady!
Rocksteady has rapidly increased both of my daughters confidence. I had no clue they could even sing and perform so boldly, especially infront of an audience. They speak so positively of their teacher George, and I honestly see why, because his interaction with all his students is always encouraging and positive. It really is worth the money, and the fact they allow you to decide on vocals or instruments is considerate too. Thank you to the Rocksteady team and hope to carry on with another term.

I just wanted to say how amazed I was at the concert this morning. This was completely out of my daughters comfort zone, she never puts herself forward to perform and I am so thrilled that she did this today. Her band leader has truly inspired her and she absolutely loves playing the drums and being part of a band. I honestly never thought I'd see her up on the stage like this and looking so comfortable and happy. She looks forward to her Thursday morning lessons and can't wait to continue.

Fun, personalised approach from Daz
Daz teaches my child at Thomas Coram and his lessons are fantastic. He makes it so fun and engaging for the kids and tailors the approach to every child's own ability. The concerts are always great fun and it's lovely to see how the kids have progressed each term. Thank you Daz!

First Concert
I just watched my son in his first Rocksteady concert and it was really wonderful. His teachers Oli and Dave are amazing and he looked so happy and content in what he was doing on the keyboard with their support. So happy I encouraged him to join.

Daughter loves her Rocksteady classes
My daughter attends Rocksteady lessons at Galley Hill school with Daz. She LOVES her lessons and she is always very excited about telling me what she has been up to. She has performed on a stage with the rest of her band mates and we feel so proud of her doing this.
Daz is very amusing and engaging with the kids, we love seeing her perform! Thank you Daz and the rest of the team, these lessons are so fun and great for their confidence! Amazing.

Rocksteady…Rock Out!!
My son has been attending Rocksteady for 1 academic year now, as a Vocalist. He has performed in 3 concerts and has blossomed in confidence. He has sung solos and duets and really loves going to his Rockstready lessons. His Teacher, Sam, is great and really explains how he teaches and what they've been focusing on. I also love the little digital round-ups we get on his learning and skill progression. He looks forward to next academic year where he hopes to be able to try drums!

I was interested in signing my child up for music lessons, but the experience of trying to find basic information has been very disappointing.
The leaflet sent home from school contains virtually no useful information. There are no prices, no clear explanation of the lessons, and no essential details that would help parents make an informed decision. It feels like a missed opportunity and, unfortunately, a waste of paper.
I then visited the mobile website, hoping to find more information, but it was difficult to navigate and still didn't provide something as basic as a price list. Instead, it appears you're expected to provide your personal contact details before you can access the information you need, which I don't think is appropriate.
Finally, I contacted the company via WhatsApp to ask for the pricing and other basic details, but after 1–2 weeks I still haven't received a response.
For a company working in partnership with primary schools, I would expect clear communication, transparent pricing, and timely responses to parents' enquiries. I hope these areas can be improved, as the current experience doesn't inspire confidence.

Our daughter has LOVED her journey with…
Our daughter has LOVED her journey with Rock Steady. She started on the keyboard and then went on to vocals. Alister has been her teacher for the entire time and has been outstanding! The individual feedback he gives the children is wonderful and always so personal. He has a natural talent and has really inspired all the band members. Our daughter has finished her time confident and has been awarded a Drama scholarship to a local school and Alister has certainly been a big part of this journey, thank you for all you have done.

My child has taken part in Rocksteady at Brockswood for 3 years now and they absolutely love it. Daz is an amazing band leader who is really great with all the kids and who is very encouraging and supportive to them. He teaches them so well and makes it fun for them. The concerts that they do each term are fun and it is truly amazing how well the children do. They grow in confidence as they learn more and standing on a stage at any age can be nerve wracking but you can see their confidence grow with each concert they give. I would recommend Rocksteady to any parent, it has been amazing for my child.

My son has just had his 4th concert
My son has just had his 4th concert. He’s been playing guitar for about 2 years now and ended up transferring to rocksteady from private lessons after being gifted a term of it by the school as he loved it so much. I love watching his confidence on stage (he’s Sen and quite shy) but he loves his music and it shows. This term he completed a whole 4 min song and didn’t miss a single note. I would recommend rocksteady to anyone and bonus you get to complete your music qualifications as you go. He has done his pre-initial and initial and about to move on to his grade 1. Let’s see what next school year brings as he enters year 6. I wish they could continue into secondary as he truly loves it.

This includes a timeline that tells you when your child has learnt new skills, as well as termly Round-ups which are a visual summary of everything your child has been doing in band lessons.
You’ll also see how your child is progressing through Rocksteady’s exam-free, Ofqual-regulated music qualification, accredited by Trinity College London. This summary is also sent out as a 3-weekly digest email so you can receive updates straight to your inbox.
