AVOID FOOD POISONING❗️❗️❗️

AVOID AVOID AVOID❗️❗️❗️❗️
Arrived Saturday night & everything was fine until Monday evening. I’m here alone with my 5yo son, we came upstairs for a nap and we both woke up with serious tummy pain, we felt weak & faint, sickness & diarrhoea. As I was on the loo my son was being sick in the sink & next thing I know I woke up on the floor after fainting and banging my head. My son was crying because he thought I died. I was terrified if something would happen to me and I wasn’t with any family to take care of my son. We ended up getting a taxi to hospital, what should’ve been €15 for the taxi was €50 because he couldn’t control being sick in there and I wasn’t with it to catch it with anything. I couldn’t get out the taxi they had to put me in a wheelchair & wheel me in to a bed. I was then put on a drip, which slowly I felt a little less faint but still very sick. My son kept being sick also, finally when we both were examined and told 80% of the people coming in lately were from this hotel with the SAME PROBLEM and its food poisoning. We came back to the hotel & slept most of yesterday on & off. We’re ordering out of the hotel now from an app called wolt for food. I’ve made a complaint to guest relations but they won’t accept it is food poisoning because I didn’t have a specialised exam & have written proof from a dr that’s what it was. Please if you cannot change your hotel or you are here already do not touch their food! I was so so scared for myself and my son and felt so poorly it has completely ruined our experience and has scared me from ever taking my son away on my own again, now because of this he probably won’t get to travel as much & see the world because it’s just me and him, I cannot risk this happening again so I think we will holiday locally in the uk from now.

What a shambolic hotel Rodos Palace Hotel

What a shambolic hotel . 5 stars is a joke and it is worth a maximum of 2 stars and this only for cleanliness (away from the restaurant with spillages on floor which were not cleared for some time) and the room for which the chambermaids were excellent.Keep away and do not consider booking. Check in was horrendous and slow and huge queues. Took over 90 minutes. Then only 2 working lifts( 1 other has been out of order for the whole week) and very small . All for a huge hotel with 17 floors. Restaurant staff totally ignorant and were not interested and some very rude.Food which was all buffet style frequently ran out as did cutlery plates and dishes. One morning waited over 15 minutes for the bread to be restocked and another morning asked 5 times for coffee as the machine was not working and it still never came--one waiter even said if I wanted a white coffee milk would be chargeable which had not been the case before.Food was always only tepid or more often cold. Price for a small bottled beer in the bar was exorbitant even for a hotel.
I can only repeat and stress do not go anywhere near this hotel which is a disgrace.
