Roister shows inconsistent service. My order had delivery delays, poor communication, and ignored emails. Eventually resolved, but not ideal experience.

Do not use this company. I placed an order on 6th December for which Roister took immediate payment - delivery was supposed to be within two days. A week later I had not received any acknowledgement of my order. Roister ignored all e-mails and messages left on their website. I contacted Trading Standards and lodged a case with Action Fraud. I also contacted the credit card company I had used to make payment and they also took up the case on my behalf. At the end of December I sent Roister a letter by recorded delivery asking them to either supply what I'd ordered and paid for or refund my money - no response. I spoke to Trading Standards again and they advised me to send a further letter stating that I would be taking legal action if no response within seven days. At the end of that period Roiser refunded my money with no word of apology or explanation. If I'd not taken action I suspect I'd never have received the goods I'd order or get my money back. It seems that my experience of Roister is by no means an isolated one.

Received my order which was ordered on 4th Dec delivered on 20th dec after emailing to ask where order was. Opened order and one bottle broken. Took photos within an hour of receiving and sent on email to them. Total silence no communication from them. Emailed them 4 times as no phone number available on website. No response. Terrible service......

Paid for a Xmas present 14/12 still no sign and radio silence from Roister. Feel like I have been stuffed! Refund battle about to commence.

I ordered 9 bottles of wine on the 16th November and was expecting delivery within the stated time of max 5 day delivery. Well nothing has arrived after 37 days and no communication after numerous emails requesting update on Delivery.. Well it looks like a dry Christmas for me.. Avoid this Company as if you don't you will regret it

Still no delivery after 48 days and seems that the company have moved to a house in Rotherham

We can all be guilty of making a wrong review about an
online purchase that we thought might be a scam.
I ordered some drink on the 10th December and to day it has arrived so I say to others , have patience with Roister, they are doing their best in these difficult times and I have nothing but praise for them.

THIS IS A SCAM

I've been stung for £165 pounds.

All I can say is that these SCUM do not have a Merry Xmas or a Happy New Year

Should not buy anything from this website. It is a complete scam. Had a order decline but they still took money. Was for a £250 item which is a lot of money to be stealing. 4 star review is false just bots commenting with fake reviews to make it seem better. Don’t trust the 4 star review!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE. THEY ARE APPALLING.

Paid for next day delivery 4 days ago. No acknowledgement of my order. Bank account has been debited. No response to emails and, surprise surprise there is no phone number listed to enable you to call them.

That said, they are in Sheffield which is only down the road from me so maybe I’ll pay them a visit to see if we can resolve this.

Avoid. Seriously.

Same story as everybody else. My account has been debited but I did not receive an email of confirmation and I have not received the whisky, nor have I received a reply to my email - oh and of course, the discount code never appeared so no discount was applied. This has happened to so many people I wonder if we can get together and go legal or this will keep happening to other people. The should be taken to court. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM - beware everybody

I suspect Roister is now taking people's money but not shipping out any orders!

Whilst they may once have been legitimate I believe they may now be a SCAM website!

There seems to be a total communication blackout and orders are simply not being shipped at all, (see lots of other recent reviews). It appears that they were OK until around May 2021, but have since gone rogue!

I suspect they will soon turn out to be one of THOSE companies that take lots & lots of money from unsuspecting customers, fail to fulfil the orders, and then go BUST, leaving everyone out of pocket!

I expect they will exploit the busy pre-Christmas period to the max, then fold!

SO BEWARE! - You may well be throwing your money away, AND setting yourself up for loads of stress, worry & frustration if you order from Roister!

MY ADVICE: give them a wide berth and AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Like many others no wine has arrived after a month, and after 2 emails no response. What can we do collectively to either get wine delivered ASAP or return funds …. Any thoughts?

Order a box of wine on the 23rd October and have sent numerous emails requesting delivery as this was supposed to be next day. No reply to emails and there is no telehone number to enable one to speak to them. Absolutely disgusted with their service. Would not recommend them at all.

I ordered a box of wines on 20th October - have had payment taken but received nothing at all.

Don’t usually write a review but felt I had to warn others about this disgrace of a company. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Ordered 8 bottles of liquor and 3 weeks later still no confirmation of order despite taking the money. No response to the numerous emails I sent so had no option but to raise a dispute with my bank. Avoid avoid avoid!

I ordered twelve bottles of wine and paid extra for next day delivery. After a week six bottles arrived. I have tried to phone, no answer, I have sent multiple emails but no response. Three weeks later still no wine, refund or even a response.
I am by no means the first to have this problem with this company. I would strongly advise not using them

The wine arrived 13 days after ordering and contained different wine to what we'd ordered. I've emailed Roister several times over 2 weeks and have still not received a reply, which is just poor.

We are a repeat customer but we will not use them again and cannot recommend them.

I ordered wine from Roster. Half the order was delivered late. The other half has not been delivered and Roister are not responding to my email enquiries.

I've ordered three times off this site, the first two orders I was pleased with but the last and final one was a nightmare. I ordered as normal an order which cost over one hundred pounds stated that I would get next day delivery. Nope I was wrong a week went by after a few emails I got confirmation that the order as gone through then after 8 days I got my bottles of gin but the colour and taste was not what it was supposed to be so I'm very suspicious about what's inside the bottles. I've emailed them 3 times about this issue and surprise surprise no response. No orders from me again........
