Our fridge-freezer was broken beyond…

Our fridge-freezer was broken beyond repair and we emailed our property manager BenjaminNujeerallee. Ben was on it from day 1 and we had a Homecare cover from our landlord.The engineer visited the next day and in a couple of days our landlord had submitted all documents needed for a nee fridge.Ben liaised with them for us and a nee fridge was delivered to us in a reasonable time

Sending me junkmail through the letterbox is totally unacceptable in 2023. Why are you still doing this. I wouldn't sell my house using you in a million years now.

Would like to mention Denise Hurn who has helped me out on many occasions I wouldn't have had a Christmas meal had it not been through the dedication shown finding an installation fitter who was available literally days before Christmas, and today the swift response to my 2 enquiries that I know will be sorted swiftly

Denise Hurn is our property manager and…

Denise Hurn is our property manager and she has been amazing. Actioning things in a timely manner and always just being so polite and very professional. We have rented so many places and this is our 1st home we have been made comfortable and stress free as we jave just been able to live here with no hassle. 5 starts isn't enough for this lady she deserves 10! X

If I could put zero stars I would

If I could put zero stars I would. My renting experience with Romans has been by far the worst of my life (including university rentals).

When we first moved in we had no heating or hot water and no use of the oven. It took them three weeks to resolve these issues. Then just a few weeks later the boiler broke again, the contractors recommended replacing it, but instead they fixed it (which is fine), but this took another three weeks.

Then there is the state of the feature wall in the living room, with wallpaper hanging off, damaged walls and stained carpets throughout. None of which have been repaired even three and a half months into our tenancy.

I couldn’t recommend any aspect of Romans to anyone.

Warning to sellers; be aware what Romans is doing

As a seller you may not be aware of some of the practices that Romans are currently employing. I recently make a cash offer on a property; seller accepted. I was then informed by Romans that they wanted me (the buyer) to pay Romans' solicitors a £60 fee on order to check my ID....I refused and said I was not going to start paying the sellers real estate agency fees.

They "went back to the seller" and said they had decided to go with a different offer...I strongly suspect that they did not contact the seller and tell them "the buyer doesn't want to pay our £60 fee"....whether they contacted the seller or what they said who knows....but no seller in their right mind is going to change offers because the buyer doesn't want to pay the sellers' own agent some new £60 fee.

I don't know what the offer they changed to was, but I'm assuming it was worse or they would have accepted that one in the first place. So Romans have effectively cost the sellers. Clearly they do not have their clients interests at heart.

As a buyer be aware that Romans listed properties are going to try to charge you fees for their properties.

Smooth experience as a Tenant

I had a 2.9 year tenancy period with a property managed by Romans .Denise, our property manager, was prompt in carrying out maintenance tasks . My experience with Romans - Basingstoke was positive and I found them to be meticulous and professional.

Amazing experience with Romans!

Can’t recommend Romans enough! Oliver has been absolutely amazing amazing throughout this process and willing help us resolve any issues throughout. He puts the customer first and makes it his priority to help. Also helps that he is genuinely happy to do so, he’s very good at what he does!

Natalie Boyd has gone above and beyond her duty. She has been absolutely 200% on the case from start to finish. She is so approachable and totally professional. WHAT A WONDERFUL PERSON

MANDY.TANN at ROMANS has looked after two of my properties for at least 8 years in Basingstoke.She has also looked after other properties for my family members.
We all are ever so pleased that Mandy is always at the end of the phone to sort out any issues that the tennents raise.
Mandy is very prompt in taking,helping and acting on

Denise Hurn. Basingstoke branch....I let my house through Romans Basingstoke. I live in the East Midlands, so I require an agent that can manage my property without the necessity of attending the property. This week the tenants have changed.
