Romypets do not like to give refunds

I wanted to give this company a good review as their products are good, however when it comes to delivery time they are very slow.
But even worse if you would like a refund after returning an item forget it; they are very reluctant to pay your money back; I eventually got my money back after 3 months!
If it wasn’t for PayPal I don’t think we would have even received our refund. They kept telling me they had paid but nothing came back to me, after 2 1/2 months they then ignored me so had to claim via PayPal.
So my advice do not order from Romypets unless you are happy to wait for your order and as long as you are confident you won’t need to return anything for a refund.

Avoid

Placed an order on Saturday 21 May and noted their shipping of 2-4 days. Nearly a week later and absolutely no sign that my order has even shipped. Tried calling twice, just goes through to an automated message. Email has generated no further response. Very poor. Would absolutely not recommend. Going to raise a PayPal dispute as a result.

Update: Romypets has advised this product is out of stock and has commenced a PayPal refund. Whilst happy to receive a refund I am disappointed I’ve wasted a week waiting for something that was not going to arrive for who knows how long.

Further update: Romypets has commenced a PayPal refund but this has been pending for 4 days… PayPal tell me this is because Romypets issued the refund via echeque and this refund might not fully go through until 10 June. My opinion of Romypets continues to become even more disappointing. Can I actually get my money back!?

Further update: here we are, 7 June, still no refund. My advice is avoid this company like the plague. They will take your money, not send your order and then simply not refund your money. Sounds like a scam to me.

No delivery after nearly two MONTHS!

Ordered a pet bed back in March with a supposed lead time of 10 days. It never turned up, most emails are ignored, when got through on the phone I was initially told that it was delayed at the port due to "government regulations" and would definitely be sent after the weekend. A few weeks (and several unanswered emails) later, it was still at the port, now due to "transport issues", again it was definitely going to be sent after the weekend and again that didn't happen.

They are still advertising the product on their website with 7-10 days delivery despite it being nearly two months and no sign of it, even if the port issues are genuine, by not updating their website and breaking their promises, they are misleading customers while holding their money in the bank. I would be wary of trusting that these "port issues" are not actually "cashflow issues".

They have now agreed to refund, let's hope it does materialise and I don't need to raise a chargeback with the bank.

Ordered quite a few things on the 3rd May , It is now the evening of the 12th May and I still have not got them , I did email them and was told they would arrive today but they have not , extremely poor service

Despatch too long

Ordered from the first time last Monday, it is now Saturday and I haven’t received my order, nor been even updated to say it’s been dispatched. Yes, Monday was a bank holiday, but in modern times I’m afraid the logistics and communication both need to be far better than this. I had to email for an update, they asked for my order number (instead of just looking up by my email?) and when I replied before noon, I did not receive a response back. Now it’s the weekend and my poor dog is still waiting on his food.

Happy!

I bought a tumble ball for my dog from Romypets. The product is great and the price was good so I'm pretty pleased. The only downside was the length of time it took for the order to be delivered. To be fair, they said they'd courier another one out if it didn't arrive the following day but it did so all good in the end.
I've just bought another item from them and look forward to receiving that shortly.

Really bad

I used Romy Pets for the first time to buy a Maelson dog crate and mat. The website states items will be sent within 2-4 days or 7-10 days for some items. There was no indication that these items were not in stock. The crate eventually took over a month to arrive in which time it was too late for the arrival of our new puppy. I had to go to a local shop to buy an alternative. Romy Pets eventually gave me a discount. However I am still waiting for the matching mat to arrive. This is two months after ordering. They have stopped replying to my e-mails and I am doubtful it will ever come. It appears they are selling items they do not have in stock and have no idea when it will arrive from the supplier.
