Have your (cherry) cake and eat it, too! 'Sunburst' is a sweet, rich black cherry that's not just for cooking but also eating fresh. In fact, it was the original sweet black cherry. The OG, if you will.
A mid-season variety, your cherries will be ripe and ready to pick around the second or third week of July. Self-fertile, 'Sunburst' will produce good crops all by itself without pollination by another tree.
Ultra reliable, 'Sunburst' won't let you down, run around or des(s)ert you, instead producing impressive yields year on year. It also boasts good disease resistance and laughs in the face of pests.
Thanks to its Colt rootstock, this tree can be grown in a pot and has a max height and width of 4m. Rootstocks restrict the size of a tree to make it more suited for an average garden.

With each Air-Pot® made to last up to 20 years, we reuse them on the nursery and wrap your mature tree in hessian for delivery - but if you’d rather keep your tree potted, simply add an Air-Pot® to your basket along with your tree.

I thought the plant would be perhaps a little bigger than it was. Otherwise, well packaged and straight forward to plant.

Tree was delivered promptly and with care. Kept upright and undamaged. Lovely and healthy and the QR code linking to the video was really useful. Especially for the less obvious points about adding mycorrhizal fungi to the compost when planting. We also added a piece of plastic pipe to water the tree right to the roots until established. The tree so far is doing well, time will tell with regard to cherry production! 🍒 So far delighted with purchase!

I have to say I was not happy with the shape of the plant though in fairness to Roots it was delivered in good condition. I had trouble returning it quickly because of delayed response over the w/e but in the end they were very fair and offered me a refund. In view of this I would use them again.
