Call it mid life crises or whatever but decided to buy a telescope and try my luck at astrophotography. As a complete novice at this Ive found it a minefield. The advice these have given me has been brilliant. Orders/ delivery has been perfect. Highly recommend these. Thanks all ....no doubt I will be back

I recently purchased a 'ZWO ASI678MC USB3 colour imaging camera'. I was excited about producing some planetary photography, I had already purchased a laptop with Windows 11 so that I could fulfil what I had set out to achieve. Unfortunately unbeknown to both myself and a vey helpful employee of 'Rother Valley Optics' (Adam) the driver for the camera was incompatible. This information was acquired from (ZWO) by Adam about the fact that the driver was not recognized by the laptop. The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Go latest edition runs on the 'ARM' Advanced RISC Machines Chipset Processor and ZWO informed us of this and explained that the driver will not be available until late 2025. I have to say that Adam was exemplary in contacting ZWO and getting this information and increasing my knowledge about fast moving technology. Albeit the camera is being returned and I will be using DSLR photography and 'Photoshop' I have to say the customer service of Rother Valley Optics essentially (Adam) was outstanding and will look to purchase from them in the future.

Emailed after 2pm on a Friday about the availability of a tripod, Adam replied within minutes saying it was available, I placed the order and they even managed to ship it that day... Monday, tripod arrived in perfect condition.

I ordered the SkyWatcher 3/8 Inch Thread Stainless Steel Tripod and it goes perfectly with my GTi mount.
The tripod is quite big and is possibly borderline for portability, but sturdiness is more important and I have a trolley for moving my astronomy kit around, so it's not much of an issue.

Will definitely be using Rother Valley again... once I've saved a few £££'s for some eyepiece's, barlows, or maybe a scope upgrade

Ordered a telescope , it arrived the next day, I was kept up to date with delivery and phoned an hour before letting me know what rime it would arrive, the price was great. My grandson will love it I will certainly reccomend this company.

New to astronomy so this was my first order. Really simple to open an account and the website was easy to navigate to find the items I wanted. All at excellent prices too! Adam sorted me with a filter I needed and added it to my order. Everything arrived next day, safely protected in cardboard and bubble-wrap.

I have been waiting WEEKS for my seestar even though i done next day delivery and everything went through perfectly fine. I called them to ask about stock and they said next month they’ll have some. I placed the order January 8th it’s now the 27th. Ridiculous

Ordered online at the weekend after researching a telescope within my price bracket. Easy online process to follow and delivery date given.
Monday I was sent an email advising my choice wasn’t in stock but would soon be and would be a few more days
Another email arrived advising my purchase was dispatched and I received it today, a day earlier than expected.
Communication is superb from Rother Valley Optics. The email also stated I could contact them if I needed help with my purchase.
I am reviewing the company providing my purchase, not the purchase itself.
I know already that I will be a returning customer based on the service already provided

Not even worth 1 star. Placed an order and was told that the delivery would be With me within 1-2 days. Nothing arrived, after contacting them I was told they would get back to me. No reply from them and had to contact them once again. Now to be told that it would be February before I can take delivery. I had an email saying that the telescope had been dispatch when this is clearly a lie. Customer service is a joke with this company.

This is the second telescope I've bought from Rother Valley Optics. My latest purchase was out of stock when I enquired, but I was able to make a pre-stock order. Rother Valley Optics kept me advised by email regarding stock delivery dates and also sent me an email once the item was back in stock. Total time scale - initial order, Saturday; email confirming stock arrival, Tuesday evening. Item arrived the following morning at 7am!! Brilliant service and I thoroughly recommend this company.

Ordered a simple Mount accessory.
Process worked as it should - checked stock with them and got the item next day. No fuss, just how you want it.
If only they could supply clear skies as well…

Brilliant. I placed my order at 3.00 pm on Tuesday and selected next day delivery , I accepted that I had missed the cut off point when the delivery date came up for Thursday. Really pleased when the package arrived at 8.30 Wednesday morning. Looking forward to clear skies tonight!

Sent these guys a series of questions over email about some photographic kit that I wanted to buy, to ask their advice. They were absolutely first class, couldn't do enough to help, got back to me promptly with the information that I needed and were super-friendly when doing so. I absolutely will be using them again.

Just purchased a skywatcher 250p classic from the company. Excellent service, polite informative and just good overall product and service and price. The telescope was sent to the Scottish Highlands nay bother, as some companies don't send up here, but the company did and exactly when they said and DPD got it here exactly on time and cheaply.

I needed a telescope for my son's birthday and was not able to get to the store, I'd missed the cut off point for next day delivery and thought I might not be able to get the telescope my son wanted. The kind staff at Rother valley optics helped me to get an order in and went out of there way to get the order ready and on the van for next day delivery. They were very helpful and supportive and I'll be buying all my future stargazing equipment from them in the future instead of the big electrical store I usually buy from. Thank you Rother for all you support.

I needed a new EQ2 mount and was recommened Rother Valley.
I spoke to gentleman whose name i didnt get,he he was very knowledgable.
He checked to see if OVL had one in stock he took my order told me it would arrive today 14th August,which it did well within the timescale,it took all of 5 mins to order.
Cracking service i would definately return if i needed anything else 👍👍

Ordered a dwarf 2 telescope on 1/8/24 arrived 11am following day bought many items from rother valley without a single issue and I know I can ring for advice unlike a lot of other traders there feedback speaks for itself
