Warranty is pointless

I had an issue with a trimmer that I purchased from Europe.
The trimmer itself was good and used it a few times until it broke a about 3 months after purchase.

Contacted Rowenta UK for a warranty claim, they opened a case, they arranged pick-up . They determined there was an issue with the product and are waiting for parts.

I took about 3 - 5 calls and nearly 10 months to be told that they can offer me a voucher or they can send the product back so I can go back to the store I bought it and return it.

The voucher is useless as they do not have trimmers in the UK and I do not want any other products from their website .

Also I'm not gonna buy a plane ticket and go back to Europe just to return a product.

So for all intents and purposes the world wide warranty is pointless.

And the product reliability is garbage.

Bad quality and terrible customer support

Bad quality and terrible customer service from their distributors.

I bought a Rowenta TN5241F4. The clipper stopped working properly and could barely cut hair a couple of months after. I returned the item to the store, and they sent it to an authorised service center of Rowenta for investigation. A month later they called me, said the service didn't find anything wrong with it and wanted me to take it back without them fixing anything. I explained again that the clipper is not working and anyone can easily see that if they take a new clipper from the same model and compare them. I explained I would be happy to have this one replaced. After arguing for 30 minutes in the store a lady assured me they would send it again for another check by the Rowenta authorised service center and that they will make sure I can have the item replaced. Another month went by, I received another call, where they told me exactly the same thing as the first time, claiming there is nothing wrong with the cutter.

A complete waste of my time and money.

Customer service and after sales is a complete shambles!

Disgusting customer service when my £300 steampod hair straightener went wrong just out of warranty. They initially gave me details for their repairers who told me that they no longer hold the parts to repair my product which isn’t even 3 years old yet ! How can they not be required to keep manufacturing parts to fix an expensive product like this? It has only had light use over the time so absolutely disgusted. I called them back and told them it can’t be fixed as they don’t make the parts for it anymore, the guy sounded very disinterested and I was basically told oh well , never mind ! He said he would send me a link to buy another product with a slight discount. When the link arrived it only contained some other products like steam irons , no sign of any steampod straighteners anywhere. So I emailed back and said I dont want a discount on an iron I want to purchase a steampod. This was about 6 days ago and I haven’t heard anything back ! Oh well back to using my GHDs as will be avoiding all Rowenta products in the future as their customer service and after sales is a complete shambles ! Seems to be a common theme when reading their reviews. No idea how they get away with this shocking service for so long

Honoured their warranty graciously and sent back a new one promptly.

My steampod had some wiring issue and it just stopped working in 5 months after purchase. I was devastated. This was a prized possession and I had no hopes because I bought it from Amazon (which I believe is a 3rd party?). Luckily a quick Google search showed me that ALL Rowenta steampods have a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I called them up and they shared where and how I should ship my steampod. It's been 3 weeks and I received back a brand new steampod. I'm delighted to write this review for the prompt and easy customer support.

My iron started to leak after a short while. I’ve sent the iron back 5 times & they just return it to me still leaking!! They’ve even claimed to have replaced the iron which is a lie as I put a tiny mark on it & it’s the same iron coming back every time!!!! This has been going on since October and now it’s almost June & still no working iron.

Stay away from this brand, just pick something els.

The idea with this system is great, but it don't work at all.
We bought ROWENTA RH99F1 X-Force vacuum cleaner in September 2023 (5 month ago) and haven't been able to use it once yet, it didn't work when we got it and it's been in and out of repair shops ever since. When we try to call Rowenta they tell us they'll call back, but they never do. They also don't respond by email, only if we are lucky the repair shop respond. Now we have a vacuum cleaner that doesn't work down €600.

It's easy to find similar stories on the internet, wish I read up on it before I choose this brand. At lease we can warn others now.

I bought a defective iron made by…

I bought a defective iron made by Rowenta from Target in December 2021.
When I used the iron for the first time in June 2022 it leaked water and did not heat up to press clothes.
When I called Rowenta to report this issue, I was told verbally that if the iron is repaired and it doesn't work a second time then I would get my money back. THIS CALL WAS RECORDED AND I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE. So, I shipped the iron back to Rowenta USA in June 2022 and after it was repaired Rowenta shipped the iron back to me.

Since I used the "new" the iron Rowenta shipped back to me, it still does not heat up or get hot at all to press clothes. When the iron is plugged in and turn on to the highest heat setting the metal plate stays cold and I can touch it with my finger. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE I HAD WITH THE FIRST DEFECTIVE IRON I BOUGHT ORIGINALLY.

This is the second time that I have used this iron and it does not heat up properly. Rowenta USA warranty is not valid or applicable because the iron was defective when I bought it for the first time at Target in December 2021.

Also, when the "repaired new" iron was mailed back to me it STILL DOESN'T WORK. All I did was plug the iron in and turn it on but it NEVER GETS HOT. Rowenta deliberately mailed me back a second DEFECTIVE iron they knew would not work. THIS COMPANY IS LIABLE AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR AN IRON I CAN NEVER USE.

THE WORST PURCHASE EVER MADE

I bought the most expensive model available in my country following very positive comments from people i know.
My iron only worked for a period of one month and then it started leaking water. I took it to store i purchased it from to claim the warranty and they told me that they didn´t have that service and that i should take it to the service center whcih i did.
After waiting for a month they wrote me to say that it was ready... i picked it up and to my surprise in only lasted working for an hour and the same issue happened again...
the following day took it back to the service center and i called rowenta offices to claim the bad service from the center , they told me that they would handle everything for me and not to worry... i asked if it was possible to have a new iron since i had a valid warranty but they said that they had see every option possible to repair it and if it wasn´t , then they would replace it.
from that moment until now, i´ve been waiting and waiting for a month and a half and still i have no answer from them neither to pick mine because its fixed or to get a new iron.

IT HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE TO GET INVOLVED WITH A VERY BAD COMPANY THAT DOESN´T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS SPENDING MONEY FOR THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

Rowenta force flex 9.60…

I bought a new vacuum x force flex 9.60 and same day there was clear issue with boost function. Sent next day for repair, we got back that construction dust affected the motor so that voids the warranty. Big lie as it was used only for home cleaning. Further, they lied about the cash back. We visit their website and we get lost and misleaded. Very bad company and very bad service 👎

Steampod repair successfull

I can’t believe Rowenta has such bad reviews.

I bought a steampod in March and had issues (no steam, water reservoir clearly not emptying) with it from the start but still tried to find out if it was my fault. I emailed Rowenta a few months after and they gave me advice on what to do.
Clearly after a few weeks the issue didn’t resolve so I emailed them again to ask if someone can look at it. They arranged a pick up, and I received my steampod back today. It seems to be ok now.

Rowenta Eco Intelligence

Rowenta Eco Intelligence - Searched high and low for a iron made in Europe, nothing in the UK.
This is actually made in Germany. Good solid thing, bit weighty. Nice long cable. Sole plate is just stainless with no fancy coatings, which I much prefer. Only had it a few weeks and it's working really well so far. I have seen bad reviews as they get older so I hope mine lasts ok. Just nice to find an iron that is not made in China
UPDATE - After using this for over a year I found that it started to leak water all over the clothes. I followed the instructions to the letter, ensured it wasn't clogged with scale and never left water in it. I looked up the problem and its seems to be common. I eventually gave up and bought a Tefal, made in France.

Does not support Warranty Service

I registered 2 irons I purchased within the last 11 months. I am trying to request warranty repair and the Rowenta site will NOT allow me to complete the contact me request. I entered all product info, including Invoices. You are NOT honoring your 1 year warranty if I cannot request assistance. I live and work California and cannot call you prior to 2:30 PM PST. So, I paid $165.59 for a iron I used about 5 times. AWFUL service.

Thieves!

Pathetic customer service. I bought a rowenta hoover in Italy and after 1 year one part of the hoover stopped working. Since now I live in UK I contacted Rowenta UK to check if they could fix the hoover which was still covered by the guarantee. They confirmed that they were able to repair it and this would have taken 2 working weeks. 3 weeks later since I don’t hear from them I get in touch and they told me to wait 2 more weeks for the elements which needed to be changed to arrived. No sign from them. After 5 weeks I got told I would have received a new hoover to replace the broken one. This would have taken two additional weeks. Two months after I contacted the customer service for the first time I got told that all the info I was given to that point were all incorrect. This was due to the fact that they outsourced the customer service agents. They then told me that they were not able to replace the hoover with a new one and they offered me a voucher to get an iron since rowenta uk does not sell hoovers! As a second options they told me that they would have fixed the hoover, promising that they would have repaired it by the end of January. We are now almost at the end of February and neither I have received the hoover fixed nor I have received any notification of any delay.

Very bad air purifiers, and the worst is…

Very bad air purifiers, and the worst is that it's too much and the most expensive.i bought 1 intense pur air purifier and 1 intense pur air connect purifier and 20 filters (5 formaldéhyde, 5 hepa, 5 active charbon, 5 pre filters).
The rowenta technology is very bad , as its filters, as the conception,as all, except marketing (these is where they invest all their money,to lie on the products features in the packaging, and all features and informations online). So i bought 1200$ for the Nice packaging, not the product.

And the customer support is also the worst that i have knew till now.
And their wifi connected air purifiers don't work even if you are in europe(France, where i've been with) and US(where ive been with), even if the customer support said me to use a wifi password with only letters and numbers).
Iam a computer and network enginner, struggled too much to connect it without a success.
I don't even asked the customer support for a replacement, or refund, iam not expecting anything from rowenta.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOOSE YOUR MONEY AND ENERGY,CHOOSE ANOTHER BRAND ,based on a very large number of customer's comments and rate, online.
I didn't asked for any help from rowenta, because it was such the worst customer's experience that i want to forget it.
