The level of incompetence is staggering. Wait times are appalling, the staff do not know the difference between first name and a surname, and despite having my prescription for 9 days, they did not have it in stock. Morons, best avoided if you value your health

1st class service today.
I had the pleasure of dealing with the pharmacist Mohammad who explained everything in detail and put my mind at ease. Staff are also very helpful.
Highly recommend:)

on 17/05/26 i was taken in to pinderfields with a blood infection.. was kept there all day, for tests etc... was then put a antibiotic drip, through a a cannula for a hour... i was released from hospital, as was given a few prescription's, so decided to call at Rowlands pharmacy, as it was on the way out.. i handed in my prescriptions, only to feel a warm trickle down my arm... i took my jacket off to find blood running down my arm, where the cannula had been... i asked the pharmacist for a bit of tissue and tape to stop the bleeding... the assistant went to the pharmacist, who refused point blank to help in any way... saying we don`t have those things, even though they were on the shelves right in front of me.. disgusting service, and needless to say i would never step foot in a rowlands pharmacy again, and i advised others to do the same.

Being seen so quickly and efficiently by pharmacist. He was very helpful and pleasant and tested both ears. He took my temperature. Was able to see inside my ears and advise how they looked and put me at ease about their condition. I was provided with medication to help alleviate the problem and advised what to do should the problem arise in the future. Very satisfactory service.

The staff are ok there , but oh my word the system they use just is-not working !! First visit there was told it would be an hour before my prescription would be ready , and then it ended up being an hour 1/2 . Was back at the hospital today for a follow up appointment , and I again was told it would be an hour , but waited almost 2 hours , to then be told they only had half of the persecution in and I would have to come back again when they call me to collect the other half ……I live 15miles away ! When you are there ,you are given a ticket with a number so I presumed you were in line with your number. This was totally not the case ,as many people came after me and left before me . I do feel sorry for the staff as they have to deal with the aftermath of customer s getting frustrated with the crazy waiting times . The problem is you are only allowed to get the prescription s from the hospital pharmacy , but from what I’ve witnessed they are very overwhelmed with the large capacity of customers and this results in poor customer service which is causing lots of frustration and tension for the ( in some cases really poorly people made to wait ) it’s not a pleasant experience being there .

My local pharmacy is Rowlands, Totteridge Drive, High Wycombe, Bucks.
I visited there this morning, Saturday 09/5/2026 to collect a prescription and the staff were absolutely outstanding, I thank them both so very much for such excellent treatment, they are a credit to the company.

Hopeless chemist,
always long queues, even when no queues there’s an unacceptable wait, prescriptions rarely on time, lack of foresight in levels of medication required, grumpy staff, premises far too small for the size of customer base, staff don’t listen to customers prescription requests carefully enough which isn’t helpful.
Just not a good enough level of service being provided on all levels, needs better management throughout, and it’s been like this for years unfortunately.

Very poor. When I was phoned to come in and collect the prescription (that I should have been given after my appointment the day before), I was told it would be ready on arrival. Ha! Long queues, many people not sure where to go. When I eventually got ‘checked in’ I was given a ticket, told it was a 30-40 minute wait and I would get a text when it was ready. Many people came and went - some several times, still leaving empty-handed. Several overheard tales of miscommunication and lack of stock. After an hour (when I was already well-overdue my antibiotics and pain meds, which were back at home), I went to ask where my prescription was. The young lady I spoke to disappeared round a corner and immediately returned with it, all labelled up ready and waiting. I had a query about how/if to stagger doses with the antibiotics, which she had to go and ask about. I then left the building. At which point my text message arrived, telling me it was ready to collect! What a shambles.
Addenbrookes is amazing, the care is amazing, but things like this let it down so badly.
Edit 8/5/26 to update after Rowlands’ reply - I rest my case. What branch do you think I’m talking about???? Shambles maybe isn’t a strong enough word!

simply called into my local pharmacy in ASHURST Skelmersdale to collect a family prescription, the lady on the front desk asked me “ when was the last time you had a blood pressure test “ to which I replied “ years ago” she then asked me if I would like one now so I agreed.
The blood test was done and the results were VERY HIGH, I was advised my one of the ASHURST TEAM to visit my GP Immediately which I did and was told by my GP to go to A&E immediately which I also did where they did several tests on me and prescribed the medication I am now taking to control my blood pressure.
Without the professional knowledge and direction from the ASHURST TEAM something quiet sinister could well of happened to me, I will always be eternally grateful to the ASHURST TEAM for their prompt response to my situation and their attention to detail displayed on my behalf.
That was my lucky day the day I walked into the pharmacy, if all pharmacies were run as professionally and efficiently as this one the country would be a lot healthier place.

I was told that my prescription would be 1 hour I waited and went back to collect it and was then informed that it would be another 20 mins, again I waited and went back in to be told that it would be another half an hour, at this point I had to leave because my car parking had run out at Salford Royal. When I got home I attempted to phone the pharmacy to tell them that I would pick it up later on in the week but I could not get through when I called there number nobody was answering the phone and it kept cutting me off therefore I could not arrange a pick up of the two items at Rowlands Pharmacy that I needed. What are you meant to do?

Firstly..I would advise anyone who has had a bad experience in this pharmacy..to keep your bad review to yourself.. I had a bad experience in this pharmacy..so took it to their top people..after doing so..I was then advised to take my custom elsewhere.. their reason..myself and the pharmacy have a conflict of interest..not exact words..but thats what they meant..I have a couple of reasons for my complaint.. but one of them which I didn't bring up was, as I was sitting on the chairs..which I presume the staff didn't know I was there..and over heard them speaking about a young mum and her 2 kids..who I think had symptoms of chicken pops..when she left the pharmacy.i over heard them speaking about her..so im now of the thinking..what else are they speaking about once people are leaving their premises. ..won't ever ever be setting foot in their premises .EVER
