Expecting a parcel gave my neighbours address if I wasn't in they chucked it in my bin that was waiting to be emptied. And the writing on the card was unreadable like a 2 year old had written it

Yes, you can stop unaddressed leaflets and brochures (known as "Door to Door" mail) delivered by Royal Mail.

However, this opt-out only applies to unaddressed items and does not stop mail that is personally addressed to you or "The Occupier".

Royal Mail cannot process opt-outs over the phone.Timeline: It takes about 6 weeks for the leaflets to stop, and the opt-out lasts for 2 years.

Renew it after 2 years if still to block deliveries

The Royal mail with a 500year history cannot find my address but have delivered to a neighbour next door....I cannot even get through on the phone...they cut me off after 5mins.....absolute joke of a company

I sent a drawing with Royal Mail to Germany in February. The tracking stopped updating after the local processing depot. I spoke to staff at Pokesdown who were polite but yielded no real help except to direct me to the website, assuring me that efforts would be made to locate it. Nothing happened. I made a claim for the £50 compensation to which I was entitled 2 months after it was missing. I received no reply from Royal Mail except for a confirmation that my claim had been received and that was 2 months ago. AWFUL service. I will never use Royal Mail again for anything of value. Since privatisation, this service has gone downhill, treating staff and customers poorly to maximise profits, very sad.

These people hang up the call and pretend they can't hear you. Right now, I am at 4 and a half hours on call, NO 5. They lost my mother's will, and I can't even complain about it. Do not use these people; they are scammers.

I sent a large parcel via a local parcel locker, the service paid for was 48hr signed for. 5 days later having heard nothing and tracking showing they were waiting for me to send, I telephoned customer service number.
On the following day I went into the local delivery office and told them my roblem, the lady took details and said that as soon as her coleague returned she would go to the locker and check the system, she then said she would ring me, she didn't.
A couple of days later, which happened to be the bank holiday I had an email from customer service.
The next day the tracking changed to say I had advised that I sent parcel the day before, parcel eventually got delivered 3 days later.
Customer service are making the tracking look far better than the service, anything to make it sound better.

Except its not my house or anywhere nearby... contacted royal mail who opened a case file and 2days later no update.. went to local delivery hub but it was closed. managed to speak to an employee who said this happens all the time as they now use agency staff who dont care...
So now hoping their customer service can sort things out but to be honest i dont have much hope.
To say I am angry and upset is an understatement...

Only giving 1 star but in all honesty I wouldn't even give that if possible. Sent card to my friend at other end of the country. Used some older 1st class stamps I found in my purse with queens head on. Obviously I paid less for them than they charge now for stamps but they were valid and this was checked before using them. I applied 2 x 1st class just to make up the monetary difference with today's prices. She never received her birthday card. Advice to those reading this :- please DONT put money inside cards posted with RoyalMail. Another corrupt organisation to add to the list.

Unreliable lyers. Disguisting company. Understaffed, organisation sucks. Everything in this company is just wrong. Never choose Them if You don't want to go insane. If They can't deliver Your package on time They just say Property innacessible and You need to wait 2 months for refund for a postage. They are PATHETIC.

I sent 5 letters all at the same time, and it was put in the same bag at the post office - I even had to pay for a 'large' postage due to a small charm in 3 of the letters just ever so slightly making it a challenge to get through the size indicator that they use. While that was annoying, I accepted it as wanted them to arrive safely. Out of my 5 letters, only 2 have arrived. This is not the first time, I have had it happen a number of times in the past where things are not being sent back. A couple years ago I also had a huge amount of stress and sent a clothing order that cost over £300 back to the shop, and they never received it. I couldn't locate the receipt which then took 3 days of battling with the shop to get my refund. I have sent other things over the years which have also not been received. Worse if it is for abroad as 3 out of 4 times I have sent to America, they have not received it. My family have also sent signed letters which have not been received. My parents wrote a complaint which was ignored. I just cannot trust Royal mail any more. Absolute disgrace of an organisation and they should be absolutely ashamed of how they are run. They happily keep taking my money but deliver a terrible service, I feel like I'm throwing money down the drain.

I’m not going to lie I had really high hopes for my delivery it was telling me it was going to be delivered Saturday morning I was thrilled actually! Newsflash it never came. So I contact you guys and ask about it and you tell me it’s coming Monday so I’m a bit annoyed but I can’t do much can I? No. So I wait all day on Monday for it to come and the delivery just keeps getting later it went from 11-1pm to 1-6pm and then 6-8 and now it’s at 6-9.55 not happy at all really. It keeps saying 50 stops away then 20 then 30 then at one point 5 how 50!!

Royal mail has got to be the worst delivery services ever FY308480527GB refers. Ordered a item via a retailer, item was due to be delivered the next day. Royal mail then put on the tracking details that they attempted delivery - they never showed up, waited in all day and no one attempted delivery- 48 hours later and the parcel still hasn't showed up. You cannot trust them to deliver a 1st or 2nd class letter on time. They consistently miss delivery targets and are always being penalised by having to pay heavy fines for poor delivery services, yet despite these heavy fines performance has not improved. If royal mail is the carrier for a item I have ordered I literally cringe 😞😓😩 as I know there's no guarantees that my parcel will be delivered on time or at all! For months I got no post and when I finally did the letters were up to 3 months old. It's no wonder they are constantly being investigated by Ofcom. Shame on you royal mail - it's time to retire!!!

INTERNAL MAIL THEFT AT GATWICK MAIL CENTER: my apparently lost tracked 48 parcel shows up on Ebay 5 months later. The seller is openly selling my brand new shoes with its box and everything after Royal mail had claimed that my parcel was successfully processed at the last location on their tracking site which is Gatwick Mail center! I hope this thief is found!!!

Got a message to say my parcel would be delivered today. Waited for delivery then suddenly get an update saying they tried to deliver but no one was in and they've left a card. Total lies. My neighbour was outside when they were supposed to have been, my security camera was also recording so I actually have proof no one even attempted to deliver. Sick and tired of these dishonest, vile excuses for delivery people

Absolutely awful company that LIE about attempting to deliver parcels. This has happened on numerous occasions, they don’t even try to deliver the parcel and claim the ‘property was inaccessible’ - even for parcels that will fit through a letter box! They hey have gone seriously down hill and I avoid using Royal Fail to deliver any parcels! Incompetent, lying, lazy, thieving imbeciles!

Review has asked for a ‘Date of experience’ but this has happened multiple times!

I am going to have to cancel my subscription for Total TV Guide. It used to be delivered 3 or 4 days before its’ start date but is now consistently arriving 3 or 4 days after start date and on one occasion not at all! I often have go out and buy one.
I contacted the company several times to check if it has been dispatched and given the date of posting which is always in good time.
I do wonder what else is not being delivered.

Very bad experience with delivery
Very bad experience, recently, with the delivery of my parcels: one left at another flat; one left in font of my door, damaged; one left at the entrance of the block! Curiously, these 3 times I have been at home. They have not called at my flat!!! Always got a message, parcel delivered at a safe place!!!!!

Royal Mail regularly claim there was no one home, whilst there is a house full here making a racket with the front door wide open and two cars parked outside. They are absolutely shocking.

Royal mail needs to be investigated always moaning for a pay rise but dont do there job always you wasn't in thats funny I have a camera that saids different not to mention royal mail stole from me got that on camera nothing got done stop using royal mail
