Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 8,353 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the delivery service, citing frequent delays, missed deliveries, and parcels not arriving as expected. People often reported issues with tracking information being inaccurate or unavailable, and a general lack of reliability in the service. The customer service was also a major point of contention, with many finding it unhelpful, unprofessional, and difficult to reach a resolution. Some people were dissatisfied with the company's inability to follow delivery instructions or provide flexible delivery options, which other services offer. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with their local postmen, describing them as friendly and providing good service.

Urgent meds from online pharmacy not…

Urgent meds from online pharmacy not delivered. Supposed to be next day service, three days later, no delivery. Just not good enough.

Updated two days on. Still no delivery. This is supposed to be 24hr delivery. It's been three days.

It's only urgent medication. No rush royal mail!

This is an organisation rotten to the…

This is an organisation rotten to the core. They have postmen who openly lie that they have tried to deliver items and either steal the item fail to deliver or send back to sender because they cannot be bothered to knock on the door. The delivery offices and customer service are even worse not giving a damn about the value or content of any item nor disciplining their staff for gross incompetence. Their total warrant should be stripped away as they are utterly content losing item after item and never taking any form of responsibility. Their level of incompetence is truly inconceivable. Do not use they they are corrupt and utterly useless

Royal Mail need to do better

Royal Mail need to do better at screening postmen because I've had my mail opened with items taken out, with either an empty envelope delivered or a half empty box. Absolutely appalling that you can't even trust them to safely deliver a package without one of their postmen thinking something valuable is inside and it's okay for them to take it and leave people out of items they've paid for and are unable to repurchase.

Royal Mail - Utterly Useless

Royal Mail has managed to turn what should have been a simple redelivery into an absolute farce. Posted 24th April at a Post Office, still lost somewhere today 1st June...

Royal Mail Should have a negative star rating all of its own, 1 star suggests a modicum of competency, and they appear to have none.

I sent a parcel from the East Midlands to the West Midlands. After booking a redelivery, Royal Mail somehow managed to send it to Northern Ireland instead. At this point, the tracking information makes no sense, the parcel is nowhere near its intended destination, and there appears to be no way for me to correct the situation.

To make matters worse, I've already spent time chasing this up, only to be met by a customer service representative who was shouty, dismissive, seemingly clueless about the issue, and completely unable to provide any meaningful assistance. The experience was so poor that I was left no further forward after the call than I was before making it.

I am now back on hold yet again, wasting more of my time trying to sort out a problem that Royal Mail created in the first place.

The combination of a failed delivery service, inaccurate parcel routing, poor communication, and unhelpful customer support has made this one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've encountered. Royal Mail's systems appear incapable of handling a straightforward redelivery request, and when things go wrong, getting competent assistance seems almost impossible.

Utterly useless from start to finish (?). Whenever that transpires to be...

Easy to book a collection slot

Easy to book a collection slot, tracking & postage stickers supplied by trader (BT/EE) , scanned at home address and well within the time slot. So easy and secure. Just make sure your at the address to hand over as this class of parcel cannot be left at doorstep for collection. 👍👏 Royal mail Scotland, Edinburgh.

Don't expect to always receive on the date stated.

I am so fed up with companies sending items via Royal Mail. They hardly ever get delivered on time, in fact more arrive late than arriving on time. When I order a item for next day delivery then the company send via Royal Mail - when I see that is how the item is going to be delivered I lose all faith. Absolutely rubbish service now compared to years ago!!

Disappointed especially as item was a birthday gift

Royal mail tracking service said my item had been delivered but it didn't arrive.
This was a jewellery item birthday gift for my daughter in law and I've now had to rebuy something else.
I am in contact with the jewellery supplier but I don't hold out much hope that it will be resolved with Royal Mail or see a refund

I definitely do not recommend Royal Mail, especially in situations where something goes wrong. My package sent via Tracked 48 did not reach the customer. As a result, I incurred double costs, refunding the customer and losing the shipped item. The company drags the matter out, and as compensation, they offered me eight first-class stamps, which is simply ridiculous and unacceptable for a service with a compensation guarantee of up to twenty-five pounds. Avoid them at all costs!

Would give zero if possible. Simply - never use if you can help it. Legacy technology, inflexible service. I have been trying to sort the deliver of some medicine and the experience has been woeful. The company should cease to exist.

My letters and small parcels usually delivered by my usual post man, but if it’s a big parcel it’s always someone else who claims they can’t find my address and attempt to send back my parcel to the sender. Then I have to chase up Royal Mail customer service to have it re deliver

One star rating is one to many.

One star rating is one to many.
Fri + Sat they claimed they tryed to deliver a 24 tracked delivery.
They didnt as i had a gardener in my front garden on fri and saterday my wife was in, and the elephant in the room is my security cameras that record every thing.
They are a completely dishonest company with no shame.
I dont blame our postman but his management whom would blame false delivery claims and make the postman look terrible.
Take they're royal warrant away.
Dishonest liars.

Absolutely useless

I have refrained from posting a negative review of RM but enough is enough. Delay after delay and today apparently the package couldn’t be delivered because the address was inaccessible. The address has a 24hr concierge!!! As always there is no way to contact anyone. Zero customer service. Completely useless. I will be using anyone but RM from now on. Waste of time
