SERVICE IS NON EXSISTANT, SPEND THOUSANDS, GET ZERO RESPONSE IF A LACK OF EFFORT RESPONSE, TRIED CALLING THEM TO FIND THEIR LINES ARE ACTUALLY CHOSEN TO BE TURNED OFF DUE TO TOO MANY TIME WASTER CALLERS ACCORDING TO THEIR FEEDBACK OF A HIGH LEVEL OF CALLS, ASKING THEM TO USE AN EMAIL SYSTEM THAT STATES ITS 5 DAYS BEFORE THEY RESPOND, YET THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY, SELL YOU DIFFERENT ITEMS SEND SOME LEAVE OTHERS FOR WEEKS ON PENDING WITH ZERO INFORMATION AS TO WHY, THIS IS BECOMING THE WORST NATIONAL MINT EVER, NO OTHER MINT IN THE WORLD TREATS ME THIS WAY, THEY SEEM TO BE GREAT ON EVENTS AROUND THE WORLD NOT SO HOT IN SUPPORT

I've been a client of the Royal Mint for a number of years- however last month my account was deactivated for a reason undisclosed.

I've emailed and got no response. I then called (finally got through to someone after many attempts)- he said he would send an e-mail to their internal team to re-activate the account. This has been a number of weeks ago. I've since e-mailed again, and e-mailed headofcustomerservices - no response.

It's hugely frustrating as I cannot do anything on the account that I've had for a number of years, and there is 0 response.

Place an order for some items .

Place an order for some items .
Put the card info for payment. Submit and it came back with error . Put a different card info hit the button and the order was place . But after checking my card statement. I been changed on both cards . For the same order . Slightly different amount few pounds difference so guess the price of gold silver must of changed with mins . But still charged me on the 1st try . After speak with customers service told to send a email with proof of the 2 payments which I have . Still waiting 2 weeks now to get my money paid back to me . Be careful if you get an error message on there website when paying for goods . Nightmare getting your money back fast taking it !! Still waiting for my money back !

Faulty coin, poor service to replace

I ordered the coin for the Great British Treasure Hunt, and received a faulty coin with no inscription on the edge. I was asked to send photos of the coin to demonstrate the fault, which I have done, and have now been told I need to return the coin for investigation before they will replace it. The deadline for the Great British Treasure Hunt is in less than two weeks, and so I’ll be unable to complete it if you’re unwilling to send me the correct coin now. It’s pretty poor that I’ve been sent a faulty coin in the first place (where are your quality control measures?), and I shouldn’t have to be jumping through hoops to have the correct coin sent to me in a timely manner.

Update: the reply below promises they’ll act swiftly but my return was received a week ago and I’m still waiting for a replacement to be dispatched. This is hardly swift!

Almost two months ago my Royal Mint…


Almost two months ago my Royal Mint account was deactivated because I was asked to upload identification documents to verify my identity. I submitted the requested documentation, but I have not received any response since then.

No one has confirmed whether my documents were received or reviewed, and I have not been given any update about the status of my account.

Terrible from start to finish

Terrible from start to finish. I ordered 5oz of silver for it to be “lost in the post” Royal Mail sent some terrible photos of it being “delivered” when I highlighted this to The Royal Mint I was asked to report it as a theft! Consumer guidelines state that it’s not my responsibility until it is delivered successfully - which it was not! Jessica from customer services now seems to have totally ghosted the whole conversation. I have 5oz of missing silver and/or am nearly £500 out of pocket. I have chased customer services by phone in which William said he would personally look into this and shock, no reply. I will be going to the Ombudsman.

I bought silver 7 weeks ago and I’m…

I bought silver 7 weeks ago and I’m still waiting for delivery. RM keep telling me it’s being processed. I don’t believe they can supply anymore despite the website say in stock with a delivery of 1-5 working days. I’ve complained to the Head of Customer Services and asked for my money back but they have yet to respond to my email which was sent 11 days ago. I will now have to take it to the Trading Standards.

Poor customer service and zero communication

Buyers beware—if something goes wrong with your order, do not expect them to help you or return your money easily. Incredibly poor customer service and a total breakdown in communication.

I placed an order for over £5,000 with The Royal Mint. The order was confirmed and immediately the status updated to "dispatching soon”; that was the last positive experience I had.

Four weeks passed with no delivery and, no communication from the Mint to inform me there was a problem. I emailed their customer service team to find out what was going on, and my email was completely ignored.

By the six-week mark, I had to chase them over the phone; called twice, waiting in a queue for over 20 minutes each time. When I finally got through, I was told it would take a further two weeks to "investigate" the issue before a refund could be issued. I had to resort to a chargeback.

It is completely unacceptable for The Royal Mint hold £5,000 for over 6 weeks, fail to deliver the item, ignore emails, and then further stall on issuing a refund.

Utterly useless.

Thinking that the "Royal Mint" would be the most prestigious of sellers in the UK, I thought I'd buy from them. Just because a company has the word "Royal" in its title, dont be fooled. This is to Royal, what the Andrew formerly know as Prince is to his family.
Chards & Atkinsons are much cheaper if you are looking to buy gold or silver & offer a much better service.
The packaging must have been done by a monkey. I mean, who would use an oversized cardboard box, with a single piece of scrumpled paper inside to stop weighted items moving in the aforementioned oversized box.
Not surpringly the box split, leaving items loose inside a now torn box.
The saving grace was that for once the Royal Mail actually did their job correctly & nothing was missing on arrival. This was a special delivery too, not just your 2nd class, bog standard delivery.
Like I say. If youre reading this, Chards or Atkinsons are a much better & more reliable option.

Chose the products I wanted ordered…

Chose the products I wanted ordered them they arrived when they said they would, I got charged twice in error for one item Emailed on a Sunday and got a response same day from an advisor who assured me they would refund me which they did in a timely manner. Very happy with my purchases.
