I have had my R4
I have had my R4, MK1 for over fourteen years! There has been no issues since purchase until two weeks ago when a corrupted CD would not play. When inserting a new CD the CD drive would not work. I contacted Ruark who advised that it could be fixed and gave an approximate quote for repair. One week later received email confirming it has been repaired, and cost only £9 more than originally quoted. Have paid. Very impressed that a: given the unit's age it could be repaired, b: the speed of repair, and c: the relatively cheap price.

The display on one of my 10-year old R4 Mk3 had started to fail and since contacting Ruark their response and service has been exemplary. They received the unit from me on Friday 16th May and today, 22 May, I received a mail to say that the unit had been repaied and is on the way back to me.

In need of repair
I recently had a need to return an older style Music system to Ruark for a repair . I fully expected them to tell me that it was not repairable owing to the age of the unit. But no , after emailing them with the problem I had they talked me through the whole procedure on how to pack it and return it to them . And told me from the start how much a repair would cost . The music system has been repaired and returned to me complete with details of what work was done on the unit . Happy with the charge and happy with the service . If the time comes when i might need to buy a new system I would not hesitate in going back to Ruark Great service .

Have had ten years great listening from my R2. On the couple of occasions I've experienced an issue ( as a result of operator malfunction rather than the machine) I was able to call Ruark & get advice to resolve the problem. Proper old fashioned customer service at the end of the phone, top marks!
Exceptional Service
Exceptional service at a very reasonable cost. I found it helpful to be able to purchase packaging from Ruark in which to return my R4 unit for repair after many years of satisfactory use.
Superb and efficient after-sales service!
Our much loved 15-year-old Ruark R1 mk2 radio suddenly became unusable with awful feedback and interference. Before replacing it with a new model, we contacted Ruark via their website to see if it could be repaired. They replied the following morning and arranged for us to send it to them. Within a week the radio had been fully serviced, faulty parts replaced and returned to us ‘good as new’. Great communications, swift action and all-round excellent after-sales service!

Excellent repair and restoration of my Ruark Audio R4 to full working order, and the Ruark customer service was 2nd to none! My unit needed repair after many years of use as well as moving house. Ruark's technical team came highly recommended and proved well-deserved. Their service combined personal attention to the detail of my enquiry, efficiency and professionalism in every respect. I am delighted.

Over ten year old R4 sent for out of guarantee repair - initial quote given unseen for a disc eject fault, great personal comms Terry and David) and easy process received back under 7 days (DPD) for quoted price (£132 inc return postage) with additional work carried out to subwoofer and new remote dial fitted as the old one was damaged - clearly a (rare) company that is proud of it's product and cares for it's clients. Buy British !!!
Top team providing a top service
Took my 9 year old Ruark R4 to be repaired after it had been butchered by Get it Fixed. (See separate review). They repaired the unit within 24 hours and the cost of postage was included in the £134 flat fee. I should have used them in the first place. Top team providing a top servive

Went into a music shop to tell them my 15 year old vita audio R2 was broken and they said just email Ruark, they're great re: repairs. Emailed them, all v easy , v smooth and quick. V impressed. Now the unit is back as good as new
R7 would not power up
My R7 failed to power up and I was worried that I had lost an iconic music system. Got in touch with the guys @ruarkaudio and they couldn’t be more helpful. Really happy with the service, the fix and the value for money. From dropping the unit off myself to its return was just over two weeks. Clear instructions and great communication, I now have my R7 back and I couldn’t be more happier. Well done to the Ruark Team
My MR1 speakers had stopped working
My MR1 speakers had stopped working. Within half an hour of emailing Ruark Audio to report the issue, I had a reply from the Customer Service Manager, Terry, who very quickly helped, and walked me through the returns process. There was a possibility, depending on the diagnostic, that I might have to pay for any remedial action required. However, the MR1s were returned to me within 10 days of dispatch. the repair was undertaken free of charge.
Ruark Audio is an excellent company anyway, but this experience reinforced my positive opinion: totally trustworthy and helpful.
The MR1 II Are THE Solution for Soundbar Haters
I took my time, as I always do, searching for a set of speakers for my TV. I knew my options would come down to the Elac ConneX, the Klipsch Fives, or these. Considering size and price, these were the clear winner.
Size: The other options were far too big to fit inconspicuously into our setup.
Price: These were more affordable than the competition.
As for sound, they’ve been so good that we now sometimes listen to music on YouTube rather than using our stereo, which has a large pair of Elac speakers set up just behind us. Everything we wanted—and more.
