A miserable experience
On the 12th December 2024 I purchased a Gamo Phox .177 package which included a pump, after using the air already in the cylinder I attempted to connect the pump to find the 1/8th BSP quick release would not lock the probe in place, I rang 09.11 on the 13th and explained the problem to be told I would receive a call back in around one hour, at 13.44 I rang again the staff member explained they were on their own and had not had time to ring me. I then explain the problem with the pump again and received the response” had I damaged the pump trying to get it to work” I replied that I was not stupid and did recognize the fact that the pump was not working as it should, plainly they didn’t like that reply and their response was negative and very unhelpful.
I had left my old air rifle with them for them to try to sell for me, due to their poor response I decided to make a return journey to get replacement pump and collect my rifle.
When entering the shop the attitude of the staff member was argumentative and unpleasant at one point it was stated I would not be allowed to take the replacement pump and I was expected to stand there and listen how the faulty pump was different to the replacement, I was then told I had been rude which was a lie, I just wanted to get out of there taking my old rifle with me.
There is an IP camera in the store which should have audio I hope the store owner has viewed the footage having someone like that representing their business is very worrying, it should have been a straight forward swap it was not their fault the pump was not working but I was made to feel I was responsible for the fault, I did receive a phone call from Helen the following day mentioning an issue I felt unable to respond.
