Great Bike & Jon's service

I bought a scooter from Jon and the transaction was quick and pleasant.
Though reading the below comments I did ask for a video tour which was rejected as I was advised the photos were on the website. They did have clear images and in my case, the bike was nearly new.
He also helped to organise the delivery and when I checked those rates they helped to match prices for that month.

The bike came intact without any defect and in great condition as Jon described. At the time of purchase, I checked all their stock to better understand what ranges they deal with and they do look like a quality store.

The directness of the staff was better for me as it cuts to the point of doing business to business and I asked all questions in advance and the bike came with all the documents it needed to be, as I was promised.

I already have my eyes on future bikes and if all goes well will defo return given there will be one available.

I did buy a car online a few years back (somewhere else) and this experience was much more pleasant to deal with Jon and I got all the information I needed.

Had a very nice experience in buying a motorcycle from this shop. When I walked in I soon saw the bike I went to see, and then Jon came over to talk about the bike. What a nice gentleman he soon pulled the bike out for me to have a good look at, I liked what I saw and purchased it. He said he could deliver it within a week, I went on a Monday he had given it a service and mot and it was in my garage Sunday morning delivered by a polite gentleman. True professional team. Kind regards Paul Featherstone.

Great Service from a Straightforward Dealer at last!

My experience (Sept 2023) of RWF has been nothing but positive. I have just collected a gem of a Guzzi, which was priced sensibly, prepared properly and presented bang on time. I dealt with Craig, Wayne and Jon, all of whom were straightforward, polite and positive. Thankyou Gentlemen. I will be looking your way if I need another change of wheels! Brilliant throughout.

ATTEMPTED BIKE PURCHASE

I was hoping to buy a Triumph Bobber they had on sale. I had the cash to pay for it and I asked their price to supply the bike with a rack fitted. They were not interested. Their representative Craig dismissed my enquiry and was at best rude and would not discuss a combined price/deal. I will not be returning

Horrible experience

Brought gsxr 1100m for full price. I asked will the bike be fully serviced and was told not to worry and will be fully serviced. With this in mind I purchased the bike and drove 4 and a half hours up country to pick it up. John the salesman was decent to deal with. When I got the bike home and started stripping it down we noticed it had not been fully serviced. Plugs not changed, air filter not changed and a big question mark over the oil. I then rung and spoke to Craig. Who is the rudest person I’ve ever spoken too that runs a business. Firstly he asked me to drain the oil, which I had never done on my own. But he did not believe me because I had stripped the bike for revamping to it’s original glory. Craig did not listen to anything I was trying to explain and only argued and told me ‘the customer is not always right.’ We had many conversations but ‘I’ve only made £300 out of this bike; I can’t do anything for you’ obviously this is not my problem reference his mark ups. I asked him if he would contribute to parts of the service so I can get it done. He said no and wanted to pick the bike up and I can have my money back. I explained I do not want my money as I want the bike. It is the principle that something to be done was not done. Craig said ‘I’ve miss interpreted’ he promised to ring me back when John was on holiday but I never heard from him. So 3/4 weeks have gone by and I have just phoned him. He won’t do anything, not even send filter and plugs down. Something that would give the customer a good outlook on his company instead of sitting here having to type my first bad review from a horrible experience. I have brought from all over and have a collection of 10 bikes. I will never buy from here again. And should I be asked I will advice anyone not too either. I wished I had the reviews of Craig and his business as I would’ve steered clear. Good luck to anyone buying from here.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest !!

Where to start? I bought a bike from these people earlier in the year. We amicably agreed the price and arranged delivery. I gave two dates that I couldn't receive the bike and on both occasions, those were the dates they arranged delivery for. Early signs of what was to come!! The bike arrived and I straight away noticed some light damage on the fairing and the remains of accessories which had been left on the bike all of which would need removal. None of this had appeared in photos or in the text of the advert. I looked at the invoice and noticed it said one month's warranty when we had agreed three months. "Send the invoice back" Craig said and I'll correct it so that's what I did. A couple of weeks later, an intermittent ignition fault started so I told Craig. Before even knowing the details, he announced that wouldn't be covered by the warranty because the bike has done more than 40000 miles!! There had been no mention of any mileage limitations when we discussed the warranty. I then asked for a copy of what was covered by the warranty. I left this a couple of weeks then got in touch again and said my invoice hadn't been returned, I still had no information on the warranty and the new V5 Registration Cert hadn't arrived. What followed was an incomprehensible tirade where I was told "not to be so rude and arrogant", "Don't think I'm better than him because I'm not" and "Don't tell him how to run his business". Bizarre!! Don't be fooled by his 100% Ebay rating either because it doesn't relate to his selling, it's all as a buyer. And he doesn't use Ebay for the sale so you can't leave feedback or get their protection. Here's the thing though. 5 months on and the bike is actually really good with the ignition fault just needing a new battery to resolve. I never got the invoice back, never got anything relating to the warranty and ended up having to apply to the DVLA directly to get a V5. This 'Dealer' experience was far worse than any private bike purchase I've ever made and if you do decide to purchase anything from this guy, good luck. You'll need it.

Craig needs to learn some people skills

Drove from Stafford to Ripley as arranged with Craig to look at a van he was selling (used for transporting motorbikes). Craig was quite brusque on the initial phone call saying he wouldn’t budge on the price. We arrived as arranged only to find he wasn’t there as he was an on-call firefighter and had been called out. Another guy was there who was really pleasant and helpful, the van was also there so we inspected it and we were happy to proceed with the purchase. The nice guy told us he didn’t know much about it and to leave our number - Craig would call us back. He called backed just as we arrived in Stafford - we told him we’d like to buy it, offered a deposit. He requested £500. Again, we didn’t quibble on price, even though the advert stated 12 months MOT and the van actually had 6 months MOT. Offered to pay the deposit on credit card, we were told no as it would cost him 2%. We said we weren’t happy to pay on debit card as we had no redress in the event of problems, and that we would take the risk of it still being available on Monday (today is Saturday) and would pay the whole amount on collection. He said “forget it! I’d rather deal with people who trust me!” When we pointed out we’d never actually met him, he said we should trust him as he’s a fireman 🤔. A complete waste of 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. A man with a really bad attitude, clearly life has left him with some issues. Steer well clear. I wish we’d have read the reviews on here before contacting him.

Unhelpful, rude and ignorant

I was genuinely interested in one of their bikes and called to request a test ride. I was told they don't really do them because their insurance insists they follow me, so they have to dress up in protective gear first, it all sounded like far too much work. I was told I would have to put down a deposit if I wanted to ride the bike, and that if the bike was not as described I would get my deposit back. I said I need a test ride without obligation which clearly was too big an ask for them. I also enquired about when the bike was last serviced to be told 'If it needs a service we'll do it' Again, clearly too much effort for them to look at the service book and give me some detail. With their 'couldn't be bothered and couldn't care less' attitude, I'm surprised they sell any bikes at all. People buy from people, and if you're in sales, it really helps not to have a negative attitude. Reading the other reviews here, it seems I'm not the only one to experience their salesmanship! Lazy, rude and ignorant.

Extremely unpleasant to deal with.

Having had a very good experience when selling a bike to RWF, I contacted them to negotiate a purchase of another machine, however, the exchange of messages on their ebay shop quickly turned quite unpleasant with accusations of rudeness and abuse from me (the customer) and concluding with "your (sic) just being tight or sulking over the Kawasaki so it’s your loss not mine". Quite an unneccesary series of messages so I won't be doing business with them again.

Back in june of 2021i purchased a second hand motorcycle from rwf. I part exchanged my old bike and paid rwf £3,250 pounds on top for my new bike (2015 kawasaki zzr 1400 abs. After the zzr was delivered and the delivery driver had taken my old bike and left i noticed that there was no service booklet or handbook with the paperwork. I immediately got in contact with rwf to ask where the above items where. I was told that the service booklet and handbook had been mislaid by the previous owner LOST!!!! I was then told on the phone by rwf that they had been in contact with the previous owner to ask if he had found the so called lost items, but nothing was forthcoming. The sales person from rwf who i spoke to, the man who sold me the bike and took my money was extremely unpleasant on the phone and said that he explained to me when i enquired about the bike the fact that there was no service booklet and handbook with the bike, which was a complete LIE. If i would have known about this problem i never would have purchased the bike from RWF. I have tried to enquire about the items, but to this day have heard NOTHING!!!!! So, to round off this small novel, thanks to rwf i cannot sell the bike on because i have no service history with the bike. Many thanks RWF for totally shafting me. Do not buy jack from this company! They are true cowboys! All they are after is YA MONEY!!!!!

Gave Craig a ring today requesting a walk around video of a bike I was interested in. I was told that the bike was crammed at the back of the shop and would take him an hour to get it out. For this reason he would n out do it. He went on to say he had people requesting videos in the past and then not buying bikes. Surely this is the nature of the business and the whole point of a walk around to see if you like the bike?

When I asked about the condition of the bike chain, sprockets tyres etc I was told it was okay but parts are cheap anyway. Not really the point, you want it good to go if you are purchasing from a dealer.

Generally a can’t be bothered attitude and probably the worst lazy salesman I have encountered. I would swerve this place since customer service means nothing to them. It’s a shame because I like the bike but I don’t want Craig touching my money.

There’s far better dealers out there. Look elsewhere.
