Make sure you get insurance for flights as it's a con. They don't care about people
Due to medical reasons. I had to cancel holiday. Got letter from consultant to confirm This. Made no difference there reply was none refundable. Lost nearly 500 euros for flights and taxi transfers. Plus what made it worse. I booked priority boarding after taking package holiday .They won't refund due to illness . Worst airline every.
Humiliating treatment by ground staff
Humiliating treatment by ground staff – ignored by Ryanair
On 24 August 2025, at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (Gate 7, FR 1799 Toulouse–Lisbon), I was subjected to humiliating and coercive treatment by ground staff (Aviapartner, contracted by Ryanair).
• The gate was announced late, after 17:50, despite being scheduled to close at 18:10.
• At 18:32, while still in the boarding queue, I was pressured to pay an additional bag fee under threats that my ticket would be cancelled in 30 seconds.
• Staff confiscated my passport and phone, refusing to return them until I gave my card details. They rejected Apple Pay, pressured me to call my boyfriend (already forced to board without me) to get his card details, and deliberately created panic so I couldn’t even adjust my bag.
• Other passengers with larger bags were allowed to board without issue, making the process arbitrary and unfair.
• Even Ryanair cabin crew (including supervisor Gustavo) apologized to me and called the behavior “outrageous.” A fellow passenger also offered testimony.
I filed a detailed complaint with Ryanair, asking for an investigation, refund of the unfair charge, and compensation. The reply I received was a generic copy-paste statement about “Ryanair being multicultural” that ignored every single point of my complaint, including the threats, document retention, and witness statements.
This incident ruined the end of my holiday. I am a frequent flyer, but after this degrading treatment and Ryanair’s refusal to take responsibility, I will avoid this airline in the future and warn others to do the same.

Avoid Expedia & Ryanair at all costs
Lesson learnt – I’ll never book through Expedia again and I’ll never fly Ryanair again.
To give credit where it’s due: when I finally spoke to a manager called Manuel, he was brilliant – 5 stars for him. Sadly, the rest of the experience was a complete horror show.
At 12:15 today I got through to the most unhelpful rep imaginable. He wouldn’t even give me his name, argued with me that I needed to go to the airline for a refund (even though Expedia’s own emails clearly say refunds are handled by them), and then hung up on me. Absolutely unprofessional.
When I called back, that call was also “disconnected,” though someone rang me back and I got through to Manuel – the only good part of this whole saga.
The trip itself:
Flew out to Tuscany on 19th September for a wedding – outbound flight fine, car hire fine.
On 22nd September at 20:45, Ryanair emailed saying our return flight was cancelled. With limited Wi-Fi we only saw it the next morning. By then all the sensible rebooking options were gone. The only available flight was Monday morning – too late for work, and we had nowhere to stay from Friday through Monday.
No text message from Ryanair either – just an email.
We had no choice but to book EasyJet on the 24th just to get home – £464.55. Add on other costs and this mess has set me back around £600.55.
Ryanair’s email only gave me two options: change flights (pointless when they were sold out) or request a refund (which I did). Their site told me to speak to Expedia. Expedia told me to speak to Ryanair. Nobody took responsibility – just constant buck-passing.
Eventually Expedia offered me £300 – which doesn’t even cover the replacement flights, let alone the extra travel and the money we lost on Airbnb. Another offer was £200 cash + £400 Expedia credits. I was honest: I’ll never use either company again, so credits are worthless to me.
Luckily I’ve got travel insurance with my bank, but this whole experience has been a nightmare. My holiday was cut short, I’m out hundreds of pounds, and both companies were useless.
The only positive was Manuel – everyone else, terrible. Avoid at all costs.
A disaster
A disaster. Treating passengers by personnel like insects. Letting passengers completely down not by the passengers fault, but by Ryanair. Never never ever again. I want nothing to do with Ryanair. It's poison.
Incredible airline
Incredible airline. I broke my phone in Benidorm with all my money on my phone via Apple Pay. Because of this I could not get a boarding pass. I was terrified and in panic, the staff at Alicante were incredible and I can’t thank them enough for their help. I was almost trapped inside a foreign country with no money or phone but the airline staff were incredible and they managed to get me back home to uk.
I wish I could do more to praise them !
Booked a trip with travel agent
Booked a trip with travel agent. The flights are with Ryanair. Download app they sent a code. Code lasts 10 mins. Thought I will do what I need to do at home. No chance the code has ran out. contact customers services. Receive generic reply. Says if you cannot verify you need to do at airport. No charge but they will charge I believe £49 per person each way for a boarding pass. Ryanair is stopping me from verifying as when I try to it keeps giving a message saying no need to verify? I have managed to book seats & input all details for all passengers in the group. I have emailed this to customer services with a screehshot. If the lead person verifies then that covers the whole group. Yet if you are not verified then everyone in the group has to pay? This is a very simple process yet they make it impossible. Leaving you to go the airport & all have to pay. Such a scam. Ryanair asked for more information already have explained numerous time. Replied again a week ago nothing.
There are simply no words to describe…
There are simply no words to describe how bad this airline is. Tiny plane, no space on board, incredibly rude, ignorant and arrogant flight crew. I guess they can't get jobs on decent airlines and that's why they work for Ryanair. One recent flight is enough to make me know I will never fly with them again.
You know the story!
Two planes both delays 40 min
Two planes both delays 40 min. No update at all in airport only on your app. Overcrowded waiting place without reason. Not comfy seats. Prefer easyjet £20 cost more but is more reliable and friendly.
Terrible service
Terrible service, got to the airport and sat there for 3 hours to find out at 10:47 am my flight is delayed by 40 minutes and my gate closes at 10:50am so after me and my partner running all the way to the gate we got there to be told we still had plenty of time till the gate closed. Bad experience at stansted airport because its a s**thole,
Perfect flight with Ryanair!
Perfect flight with Ryanair!
Stansted - Alicante. 3 adults and one 6mth old baby. Very easy process through the airport. Staff very helpful with bagdrop making sure stroller and car seat were included. Flight departed a little late but time made up on journey. Cabin staff very attentive and helpful.
Absolutely unacceptable treatment
Absolutely unacceptable treatment from Ryanair. They deliberately blocked me from checking in online to force a £55 “airport check-in fee” just to print a boarding pass.
I tried for 6 hours on 3 different devices — everything else on the app worked except the check-in button. Staff at the airport, including management, were completely unhelpful. I was left humiliated, stressed, and out of pocket.
This is not the first time it has happened to me, which makes it feel like a deliberate scam. Ryanair is exploiting passengers instead of providing the service they advertise.
55 minutes of flight delay cost me £200…
55 minutes of flight delay cost me £200 extra travel costs as I couldn’t be on time for the connecting flight. Ryanair refused to reimburse me, perhaps next time they will wait for me 55 minutes as compensation for this time
The worst company
The worst company. The stuff is very rude. It’s very dirty. Absolutely disgusting. They charge you for baggage extra even if it’s the size that supposed to be.
Queue queue and queue
Queue queue and queue.
Sucks the joy out of travelling
Only use as a last resort
I was in no way able to contact anyone or change my baggage on the Web-Site…
I was in no way able to contact anyone to make an exchange of a Checked in Bag for a Cabin bag.
Their web-site doesnt allow for any luggage adjustments. We will just have to put up with poor customer service.

My father died 8/7/2025-£617.39 NO REFUND
My father died 8/7/2025. He was buried 15/7 . We sadly had to cancel our flights (due to fly 28/7 to Spain for a wedding) because we had 40 day of mourning (muslim). Ryanair are refusing to refund £617.39 as he died more than 10 days of date flight We could not fly as we were mourning with family and informed ryainair well in advance. Livid! 10 day window is not fair!!! In our religion we have to be with family and attend prayers.
Horrible Horrible. please avoid.
Horrible , Horrible. This is the worst ever experience. very rude and arrogant staff. They delayed me for 20mins so that i have to pay £275 for my family and i to get boarding pass.
