I have been a customer of Saga for over…
I have been a customer of Saga for over 5 years and paid approximately 1500 in total WITH NO CLAIMS.
(Car insurance) . Unfortunately my car had to be sold for auction. I expected an admin fee to be charged but was astonished at the flat fee of £54.00 to cancel that is nearly 3 months of car tax. I think this is unfair, particularly as I have not made 1 single claim, not missed a payment. Even bigger companies can come to agreement and reduce fees. I will not renew with them. Also I think that if there are to be charges, which I understand are incurred at inception, they should be part of the policy upfront.

More Saga from Saga. Unprofessional ongoing drama's!
Following my two posts regarding the Auto Renewal and various agents breaking promises.
We had an email from them telling me that because we ended up with 'duel insurance' that we now have to submit a form to our new Insurer asking them to pay back 50% of our instalments paid to Saga!
Not only that they also put on the form that we had a claim in 2023, which was in fact a just phone inquiry and never proceeded to a claim. As we informed our new insurer that we had NO claims then this would have put our new policy in jeapody.
We was told by two different agents that the 'claim' information would be removed but here we are!
We have today actioned a chargeback under the Direct Debit Guarantee from our bank as by now Saga are trying everything to get out of refunding our two instalments to them.
We really cannot wait to see what they will come up with next!
Truely this is the worst experience of any insurer that we have come across and we have been loyal customers for over 10 years!
As for the cursery, "Get in touch with us with online chat reply" Don't even go there!
We have spoken to so many agents who all ask for different terms and conditions for the refund without sending the requested phone call transcripts which proved that we DID cancel the auto renewal that this is now an absolute joke.
Thank goodness that we NEVER once put in a claim to them!

I’ve used Saga on three or four occasions now as they’ve been far cheaper through the comparison websites. Changes (registration number) undertaken easily and for free, and easy to submit proof of no claims.
