Not a review about the shoes—but about the shop. I ordered shoes via the official Salomon DE/AT site, and the experience was... not great. The shipment didn’t arrive—it got sent back to them due t... See more

10% off promo code
I try to avoid buying stuff for a full price so usually try to hustle a discount even if it’s small.
Salomon website advertises 10% off if you sign up to their newsletters, which I did.
An email to confirm my address came immediately, and I confirmed it. Then another one to sign up to their loyalty programme or whatever, and I also did.
The promo code for 10 off didn’t come, and I know some brands do that, where it basically comes the next day so people don’t wait around to save 18 pounds.
Honestly I’ve done that before because you want to complete the purchase and move on with your life. I have had enough. I tried to reach out - it’s not obvious how to contact them, so you have to dig it out, which I also hate. Why do you make it difficult to ask a question? What are you hiding?
I did check the spam box as well. Then I spoke to a useless bot in Wgatsaspp and sent an email asking where’s the code since I signed up to the newsletters.
In the meantime, I signed up to their stupid newsletter from my husband’s device and the code actually came within 10-15 min but it didn’t work. Can you believe that???
They were quick to send me a promotional email though. And I hated it. I then got to trust pilot to see all the reviews and I truly believe you deserve the 1.6 rating and all the hate.
Fix your emails and your promo codes.
I would give this no stars if that was…
I would give this no stars if that was an option. I have hardly used hiking boots from them and on an easy walk yesterday in the Chilterns, the sole of one came off pretty much completely, and of the other about halfway, both starting to come off from the heal. The fastenings holding down the laces did as well. Unbelievable! I see from the Trustpilot website that the company does not respond to negative comments and on their website there is no obvious way of contacting them. Definitely not a company to ever use.
Terrible experience with warranty case
Terrible experience. Bought a pair of sneakers through an authorized dealer, that went bankrupt shortly after. I have a warranty issue with the shoes due to bad design/material defect yet Salomon keeps referring me back to the dealer while they are bankrupt and can clearly not help me. This brand will not uphold its guarantee promises and frankly does not care one bit about its customers. Avoid at all cost.
Can’t return to store
Can’t return to store. Need a printer to return an item which I do not have so I have no way to return! Contacted customer service about this and was connected to a bot which kept telling me to find a printer. Useless company, will not buy from here again.
Lack of customer service
Was sent a completely different product to the image. When I tried to ask the customer service for support on what the product should have been I was ignored and sent a returns label. Not very happy with customer service experience.
AN VERY EXPENSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT
I bought a pair of running shoes with no tie laces costing £160, The no tie lace on one shoe has snapped within a few months of use. I like the shoes but having read reviews about no tie laces I no longer recommend buying these shoes. i have attempted to fill in a warranty claim but it has proved impossible to upload the required photos onto this form. Frustratingly they have no email address. It seems other people have been given replacement no tie laces but they have proved very difficult and fiddly to attach to the shoe. What a pity they have stopped making shoes with tie laces. Nothing can go wrong with these. My previous Salomon shoes did have normal laces and were far superior. Incidentally I have wasted more than 3 hours attempting to fill in the contact form. Possibly due to a fault on the website.
Zero customer service
I’ve had the most awful customer experience. Salomon uk use UPS as the delivery partner and they employ liars as drivers. UPS said I wasn’t in the first time they tried to deliver. Funny that, as they never actually came to the property. The next day I had another message from Salomon and UPS saying I’d refused the delivery!! Why would I do that and besides they never came to the property. I have full video evidence that shows they never attended. So I complained to Salomon customer services who basically said they couldn’t do anything about it. So I asked for a refund, which they refused as they need the shoes back first - like that’s my problem.
My advice, if you want a Salomon product, would be to buy through another seller and ensure their delivery partner isn’t UPS
Very disappointing service – promised a refund, but no response since November 11
I have always had a good impression of Salomon, but my recent experience with their customer service has been very disappointing.
I first contacted Salomon on October 16 regarding a pair of XT-6 Gore-Tex shoes that developed visible stains that did not go away and continued to get worse, even after very minimal and normal use. Their own Quality Department confirmed in writing that the issue was a manufacturing/material defect and instructed me to return the shoes using their prepaid label.
On November 11, I received written confirmation that the shoes had been received and scanned at their warehouse.
I was also told in writing that the resolution would be a refund, not a voucher.
Since November 11, I have not received a single response, despite several polite follow-ups.
No update. No timeline. No explanation.
This is extremely disappointing — especially considering that Salomon themselves confirmed both the defect and that I would receive my money back.
I have now had to involve the European Consumer Centre, as Salomon has completely stopped responding.
I really hope Salomon improves their customer service, because this level of communication is far below what you would expect from such a well-known and quality-conscious brand.
Useless on line customer service
Useless on line customer service. Talking to the wall would produce a better results . All they want to do is shake the issue off and report to their management which doesn’t mean anything. They are reluctant to solve issues- absolutely unacceptable - don’t trust them
Salmon were bought by a Chinese…
Salomon were bought by a Chinese company I've been buying their footwear for decades the new owners are cutting corners with quality ...Salomon footwear is now garbage where I used to get years out of the footwear its now months before they start to degrade
They make terrible quality now.
Bought hiking shoes from the forces line on Salomon.com that started disintegrating after one hike of about 100km! Also have had many problems with Speedcross 6! Terrible quality shoes nowadays. What happened to the old Salomon? Also, the service in the US makes it extremely difficult to get a refund after letting them know you're dissatisfied. Preaching sustainability while waisting so many resources, makes me sad
My shoes are lost.
My shoes Seems to be lost.. after 16 days still no answer and haven'r got my money back yet.. never again.. what a scam...
shoes
shoes i bough here are stylish, high quality...but delivery was not so fast
Gloves of bad quality
I bought a pair of gloves, thinking it would be quality coming from Salomon. After less than 10 uses, they already started breaking on the palm. It's a plastic material that is supposed to look like leather, so it breaks into small pieces that are left in nature. I stopped using them until I have sewed a piece of leather on top. It would be a waste of resources to throw them away..
Excessive Cost Cutting
The cost cutting seems to have gone too far.
I bought a pair of XT6’s two years ago, and they were well made & sturdy.
I recently bought a pair of new XT6’s.
I decided to send them back as their new ortholite insoles have less padding than a sheet of A4 paper.
I’ve been a loyal Salomon fan
I’ve been a loyal Salomon fan, but I’m extremely disappointed with these shoes. They’ve never been used on trails or asphalt, only for light mall walking. Yet, the sides are already breaking, even though the soles and uppers are completely clean.
Since they are breaking, I have no choice but to glue them. This affects models XT-6, XT-Wing, and ACS Pro. For shoes designed for hiking, this is unacceptable. As a loyal customer, I believe I deserve compensation for this serious quality issue.

I walk 5km to 10km day with my dog,the last 3 salomon Hike tenis a bought ,very poor ,Salomon Saliba I only use them about 20 times the vulcanized part ,just open holes in the front (sry if the correctc name is not vulcanized ,the black rubber in the front, the others Salomon X Ultra just fell apart after 8 months of use 1 or 3 times max a week, the last ones that I can still use are Salomon Xa Pro 3d V9 Gtx 3....so never again I will bought Salomon...
good brand with quality
salomon great brand for outdoor gear, shoes and jackets top quality. strong grip, comfy fit, last long. a bit pricey tho but worth it for hiking and running fans.
Fast delivery
I'm motivated to write this review based on the number of negative ones.
I ordered a pair of boots on a Saturday afternoon with express delivery and they arrived on time on Tuesday. The timeframe was 1 to 2 business days. If you consider they might have processed the order on a Monday morning then it took only one day to arrive.
Unfortunately, people don't usually leave good reviews unless prompted. This is not to "defend" the company, just trying to reduce the amount of anxiety reading many negative reviews can cause.
The boots are great, and since I’ve only had them for less than a day, I can’t comment on their durability, but the purchasing experience was satisfactory overall.
Great shoes
Very happy with my Salomon products in general - especially my running shoes!
