Avoid do not purchase anything at this stage.I ordered beginning of June was told would get or 7 days later still nothing. Numerous calls just been told lies. Check online states my order complete I have received nothing. Court application been applied for to recover my money. Very very sad as used this company a lot over last 6 years. Called few days ago giving one last chance said they had avback log in warehouse short staff. Taken over 6 weeks to get an order that was in stock? Taken my money nothing in return. Please avoid I don’t want anyone being disappointed or treated like this disgraceful.

After a long time away, and with my last pair of SW shoes on the way out, I decided to order 3 pairs. There was a delivery mix up, which was quickly sorted out by SW. (Don't bother trying to contact Hermes, the delivery company, they make it next to impossible !) All the shoes came well packaged, with a free shoe horn in each box, and spare laces where applicable. They were a perfect fit and very comfortable, not like my first experience when I had to keep returning a pair for sizing issues. These look really good and I hope they prove as durable as my last pairs, as it looks like SW might not be around when I need replacements. Who else can deliver 3 pairs of all leather shoes to your door for £80 ?

I have just bought another pair of mules from you. I was so satisfied with the first pair I have decided to relegate them for outdoor use exclusively. My new ones will be my slippers.
However, and here's the sad bit, you say they are British designed, using British lasts, but you have glaringly omitted to say where they were made. There is an element of deceit there. I am now suspicious. Where they are made should be in your printed catalogue, because if anything is made in China I can then avoid it. It should be obvious to anyone that China poses a major threat to the Wester world, never mind the terrible atrocities the authorities there commit with regard to their own people.

I am only provided 2 Stars because SW do not ship to Canada. I live in Toronto and there is a gap in the menswear market for a provider online of good quality and reasonably priced items. I understand that SW has faced problems with couriers. I use the UK firm RAPHA Cycling to get all my cycling kit from the UK and have not experienced any issues with deliveries and they even bake in customs duties into their overall pricing. I generally receive the items within 2-3 weeks. I do think SW could learn a lot from what Rapha and Charles Tyrwhitt are doing in the online space for North America. Canada may not be as big a market as the US but when you drill down the US market for these items is only east coast and even then probably not much bigger that the potential market in Toronto.

I have ordered a pair of shoes on the 6th July. Nine days later I am still waiting for the delivery. I tried to call them, but after 30 minutes of waiting and incurring call charges I gave up. Sent the company an email, no response. I suspect this may be a ghost company and I have wasted my money. Never again.

Placed an order following notification of their closing down sale. This was on the 4th July and I received an acknowledgement. Since then I have tried phoning and emailing to check on delivery without success. Was put on hold once and waited for 13 minutes before the phone went dead - racking up a £5.00 charge. Very disappointing customer service!

Goodbye old friend , 20 years plus as customer , bought at least 12 pairs of quality shoes, mole skins , chinos , overcoats blazers & suits shirts , all decent priced and all okay , enjoy your retirement

It's a shame they closing down I could not get on the web site tonight so wonder if there shut already?
Never had any problems with them would have given 5 stars but there post did not say why they were shutting retirement is the reason shoes where a good fit I also used Clifford James same company but cheaper all good also shut

Their menswear was OK generally, with some items very good value - provided you got stuff at sale prices (the alleged full prices were pretty ridiculous, frankly). Their shirts were a bit small, and have flaws in the design. Jackets pretty good, especially the striped blazers. Overall, website suggested a quality of goods that quite honestly was not evident when it got delivered. Delivery and customer service on returns very good until recently. Quite likely SW has been a victim of the pandemic, as a lot of the menswear was stuff you'd wear to go out. and we have not been doing that. Sorry to lose you, SW!!

It's a horrible company. I purchased pair of black shoes to wear them for NYE party ( 2017) December party and they sent me wrong shoes which was waste of money because I had to wear them even though I hated the style.. Again, for the benefit of the doubt I have paid for 3 pairs of shoes and a jacket on the 25th June 2021 and today is 9th of July and there is NO SIGN and their customer service is PATHETIC!! We run a business including on-line and I will be ASHAMED if our service like SW.. So, SW, I would like to get a refund on my card otherwise I will open a dispute with my bank.

I'm absolutely gutted that Samuel Windsor has decided to close their doors and retire. The quality of their goods is amazing and the service I have received has been outstanding. I'm just glad that I have managed to get two more good orders in with them before it was too late. (first one has already arrived this morning after just 6 days}
I wish the owners a happy retirement and thanks for the service.

I have dealt with Samuel Windsor for many years and always found them excellent in every way. Unlike many sellers they take the older man seriously, not wanting to turn us into teenagers, but allowing us to have our own style. Extremely disappointed that they are in fact closing down. Don't know where to go instead.

Having never heard of this brand before I ordered several shirts, some trousers, shoes and accessories. Well over £100 of products, stock delivered quickly all excellent quality. Was going to be my new go to store for my clothes. Sad to receive a new catalogue this morning with closing down message on it.

Really disappointing. Ordered a few items on the 20th of June in time for an event on the 9th of July, which I thought would be plenty of time, especially given they charge £6 for delivery. I've contacted via email and phone regarding the order and have been given empty promises, but nothing has arrived. I've now had to sort out an alternative at very late notice because I have no confidence in the items being dispatched. I'll be opening up a dispute with my credit card company to recoup the money.

Save your money. Save your time. Go elsewhere. All the other recent reviews saying how bad the situation is are accurate!

Folks wake up they have gone bust I am pursuing my refund via my C/c company and have also reported to Police for fraudulent practice ie obtaining money under false pretences

So sorry this company is closing down. I have ordered many things over the years and always had great products and great service

SO SUPRISED ITS CLOSING DOWN THERE STUFF WAS BRILLIANT SHOES GREAT QUALITY USED THE COMPANY FOR YEARS

Well I ordered over £300 pounds worth of clothing on the 15th of June. Given the information to wait up to 10 working days for despatch due to high demand. No order received. I contacted customer service who informed me it was in despatch on the 26th of June. Still no items received. Contacted again on Friday 2nd July and told with courier and you guessed it, still no goods. I then rang yesterday Monday the 5th July to be told my items were in the warehouse and I’d receive confirmation if despatch yesterday afternoon. Still nothing. Please don’t use this company. I will be taking legal action on false advertising and non receipt of goods.

Ordered leather trainers, delivery time 1 week, 2 weeks later phoned, waited Ages! told they would definitely be delivered on the next Friday or Monday at the latest. Monday arrived just phoned waited Ages! spoke to bored operative who informed me that the payment had just been refunded as they were out of stock!!

Courtesy of informing us the trainers were not available would have been appreciated. As I told the operative 'I don't think we will be dealing with your company again'.

Companies like this should take a leaf out of Amazon's book...no wonder Amazon are destroying the comp with companies like Samuel Windsor operating.
I wauted nearly 4 weeks to receive delivery, and I've been waiting nearly 4 weeks to get a refund, which hasn't been processed even thou the tracking shows the returned items delivered...I will not be using this company again, and their review score on here quantifies the experience as a customer.
