Charlotte, the manager, and the whole team were incredibly hospitable and accommodating for our large group. I ended up changing more than a few orders, and the staff were so adaptable, friendly, and patient throughout. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely stunning. We had an awesome time, highly recommend! 10/10

I've been there many times. Recently to celebrate my 70th birthday with family. Lewis and his staff were fantastic and nothing was too much for them to provide.

I knew there was something wrong when I arrived at 12.30 and it was empty. Good carvery's are never empty at lunch time.I had visited the Sandmartin about 4 years ago and was expecting a better result this time,but no. The Carvery is way overpriced at £13.79 for a medium(which was tiny) plate and I ordered 2 x glasses of coke £4 each.
The food was bland and dry and I had to flavour it with sauces. There are many good carvery's in Cardiff that give the customer what they want but this is not one of them,never again.

So we went back for another meal, as mentioned in my previous review I have a lot of food allergies.

We paid for our carvery and I realised I had forgotten my allergy meds, so went to get them.

When I got back the carvery was being cleared away. Our mistake we had told the waitress we had sorted our meals, meaning we had paid for them not actually collected them.

Discovering our mistake the staff arranged our meals and Tony the chef asked if we would be returning to the carvery to have additional veg. I advised that we don’t usually. To which Tony advised that he was going to clear away the carvery but should we change our minds and want to add to our meal to give him a shout and he would
prepare fresh veg for us.

This was our mistake, we didn’t realise that the carvery ended at a specific time. Yet the staff here went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure we had a fresh, hot and extremely good meal. All done with smiles and good grace despite us being, lets face it, a pain in the bum!

Great food. Lovely environment. Clean loos and outside eating space. Free parking.

But the best bit of this place is the staff. They really are a fab bunch of people!
