This is a company with NO humanity at all. GREEDY!
This was my 2nd car I bought thru them, first one paid off. They got paid by my car insurance and GAP. It wasnt enough, I still owed $2,200. I chose NOT finance with them on a new car due to the RUDE people in their call center. Calling me "sir". I am a female, no transgender here. They laughed, getting their jollies from pissing off a customer! What fun that is!
They got paid $23,000 from my insurance. I still owed, and they ramped on me, took my credit score into the toilet. Calling me at all hours, texting, emailing and mail. even tho this car was paid off 5 years ahead of time, they still harassed me endlessly even tho I told them to STOP! I struggled to make car payments on my new car along with this wrecked car. Accident cases take months to settle, so they added late fees. I asked them to remove it now that the case is finally settled and I can pay off what I owe. and NEVER do business again with them! They decided not to take off the late fees. Bye bye forever and I will tell everyone I meet not to finance thru them!

I called twice to set up my account online, but it tells me my email is already connected to an account. I tried to reset my password, but it tells me my account is locked. I spoke with a rep, and they tell me there is nothing they can do. All i got was we are sorry. So I'm stuck with no online account

This has to be the absolute WORST banking experience I’ve ever had to deal with. My vehicle had been totaled and they have been insanely difficult on getting my insurance the information needed to pay off the loan. Finally after weeks of no response from Santander my insurance finally gets the paperwork they need and issue the check to pay it off. But now I’m stuck in limbo waiting for anyone competent enough apply the check towards my account. Now I’m stuck paying money towards a totaled car every month until someone can fix this. I have had my autopay setup and they gladly pulled the money from my account but then tell me that I’m past due. So now I’m losing money on this car and this bank is going to ruin my credit because they can’t properly post the money I paid ON TIME to my account. Their customer service is little to no help at all. The website is horrible and provides very minimal information. I would avoid having to do business with this bank at all costs !

Got an email to set up an account. Filled in the information, got a 6 digit security code. Entered the code, the website didn't proceed. Just spun and reset. I'm a little concerned this was a scam because the welcome message also used the wrong car, but eventually it let me log in and set up autopay with the correct car on the 3rd attempt. It's fine.

I spoke with customer service and they are the most professional group of people you would recommend to everyone you know too do business with. I have 2025 Silverado Trail Boss and Santander owns the loan. All your questions and concerns are very satisfactory and if you feel you didn’t quite understand they break it down to your level of understanding. No one is felt out of order. Before ending your call your are definitely satisfied and at ease.

Initiating the lease was the most terrible experience that I've had in 30 years. I don't know who screwed up the mixup with the car (Santander had different car from what I was actually getting); but then Santander didn't get the lease paperwork correctly (one customer vs me and my wife).
UPDATE 5/7/2025 - for the record, over a month later I did not receive any calls from Santander. Not saying I need one at this time; but the response promised one in 24-48 hours
UPDATE 8/2/2025 - As is common security best practice, I am not providing PII during unsolicited inbound calls. Moreover, I am not expecting any information that would require authentication. Finally, you have my phone number that you are calling - you are welcome to send OTP to it for verification. Your comment makes me feel even more uncomfortable due to your disregard of security best practices.

I appreciate this lender looking 👀 beyond some credit card accounts I had to stop paying on because it was a rip off. I appreciate this lender taking into consideration that I have Never 🚫 had a Repossession of any vehicle 🚗 I ever agreed to purchase. I have paid in full every auto loan I have ever had.

You guys sold me a dangerous car!!! All the lights came on and the car is in the shop for repairs that’s totaling $3000 to be fixed because the warranty was VOID because if a previous accident!!!

I have received my first email on the TESLA lease from your bank. The initial registration and ID creation was smooth. One confusion was on the AppStore as there are some 2 or 3 apps with the same ICON and almost same caption. A link to the AppStore in your Welcome Email will avoid any confusion.
