The best dog Charity
I have been following this charity for years and are in awe of the commitment that they give to animals in need across Bulgaria.
We found a stray outside of our holiday home . It was a puppy and not in a good state.
We were 300km away from this rescue yet I contacted them as I didn’t know of anyone else who could help.
They met us halfway , took our puppy ( by this time we had fallen in love with him ) and got him ready to travel to the U.K.
The costs were nominal and he arrived in the U.K. a couple of months later.
This rescue is run by angels who have been through so much and seen some horrific treatment of animals abroad.
They often get dogs dumped or thrown over the wall.
Most rescue dogs have issues when they arrive especially after they have been travelling across Europe.
Ours was sick every time he got in the car as he thought we were getting rid of him.
It takes at least six months for a rescue dog to settle so don’t get one if you don’t have any patience or time.
I cannot recommend this charity enough.

We adopted our dog Dumbeldore ( whiskey) Fantastic, inform all the way.The support you get from also the owners page via Facebook.
The hard work they do in saving dog lives
Anyone considering adopted please think of this rescue centre.Because if it was not for Justine and her team and volunteers there would not have been over 5,000 dogs found homes and still many more looking for homes.
Our dumbeldore we love with our hearts.Thank you for allowing us to adopted him
Marvellous Santerpaws
I could not be happier with my experience from this fantastic rescue centre. They work so hard and bent over backwards to support me after I adopted Maggie from them. She was a chain dog with a litter of puppies when she was rescued. She understandably took a little while to settle in, but now is a loving, loyal and much adored member of our family. The support and advice from the team and the huge online network of other families with Santerpaws babies is fabulous. Thank you for rescuing her and thank you for bringing her into our lives. If you’re looking to adopt, I cannot recommend this organisation enough!!
Would highly recommend this charity
Would highly recommend this charity. We got our beautiful dog in 2020. I found them very informative and supportive. Our dog took a huge amount of time to settle but we had been warned (as is every potential adopter)that this may be the case. We were prepared to put the work in and although she will never be a brave dog, she has come so far with love and patience. I have even supported the charity by fostering other dogs and if I could I would definitely adopt from them again
Definitely recommend
highly recommend santerpaws, they do so much for the dogs and are very supportive and helpful when you are adopting one, we got our girl a year ago and if we decide to get another we will definitely be adopting from them again
Fantastic charity
Fantastic charity! I have had my rescue dog Willow for nearly 2 years and she is absolutely amazing! Santerpaws are so helpful in making sure you are the right home for the dogs in their care. They are readily available to give help and advice before, during and after the adoption process.
Thank you Santerpaws for everything you do from myself and Willow ❤️
Santerpaws is an AMAZING rescue
Santerpaws is an AMAZING rescue, I got my dog was called Etta now named Winnie, she is the most beautiful friendly and loving dog that I have ever met. Winnie has been here in the UK now for two wonderful years. Thank You Santerpaws So very much Xxx
We adopted our rescue in December 2020
We adopted our rescue in December 2020. He was of course scared and nervous upon arrival, but slowly decompressed and has slotted into our family nicely. 1.5 years on we are still working on him round the cats, but it's not just him, our cats are not interested in trying either. But we are getting there with the youngest. The dog just wants to be friends and the cats just don't. All in all he was the perfect rescue. He can be left for longer periods when I am working, and has been able to be left since we got him, he was house trained in 24 hours, has amazing recall (unless there's bread around) and is incredibly chilled.
Ive had my santapaws furry coming up…
Ive had my santapaws furry coming up for 2 years he was born in the pandemic justin had no help as it wasn't permitted. His mum was saved from the killing shed and was a very stress mum to be. When the pups were born they had a lot of dogs at the time remember nothing was moving at the time unfortunately he didn't get his 8week handling and socialization.when he was 6months old I spotted him and fell in love.
Over he came to me he was scared wouldn't let me touch him etc I didn't know what to do with guidance and patience from the team and through the santapaws ever growing family we finally are seeing the rewards of my Monty and the pleasure he brings to people who have stood by me when shows them affection we still have a long way to go but I will never give up.some adopters of dogs from abroad give up to quickly I will always be grateful to santapaws for giving me Monty broken no more ❤ I support them as best as I can. X
I have just got my second dog from…
I have just got my second dog from santerpaws, one a pup one 18 months. I can t praise this rescue enough. Of course the dogs are going to have some issues given their history, but you are told what those issues are likely to be,. Even better you are given loads of advice and back up in dealing with everything from feeding to training. A rescue dog is so rewarding but they are not an easy option, make sure you know what you are letting yourself in for, and make sure your family understand also. Santerpaws will answer any questions you have no matter how stupid they seem.... I asked if my dog had a tail as you could t see it in the photo.!
Amazing Charity
I can not say enough about this amazing charity, I have 4 Santerpaws dogs, from staring the adoption procedure to now I have received nothing but the best service, always there for advice and support if required, they do an absolute amazing job, rescuing these inocent animals and giving them the opportunity for a forever home, it's not easy taking on any rescue animal but wow when you do you receive more love than you could ever imagine, please if you have room in your heart and home, please consider this amazing charity, who do such amazing work, thanks Santerpaws for all the hard work you do, Kizzie, Zola, Elle and Angel, sending love and thanks xx
Absolutely 100% recommend santerpaws
Absolutely 100% recommend santerpaws. They have given me my gorgeous little baby who we love so much! Throughout her journey home we were kept informed of how she was doing and we picked her up without any issues. They inform you of what to expect from your dog for first few weeks/months with plenty of great advice! They provide a santerpaws Facebook group for all the santerpaws parents to get advice from others or just to show pictures of what our baby’s are up to. Also if you are concerned about anything you can message them and they can advise. They are a non profit charity and the small amount they ask for is to cover transport ! I’m so happy with my dog and would highly recommend. I’ll be using them again soon as I can get round my other half for another dog 😊
An amazing dog rescue charity
An amazing dog rescue charity, brought our beautiful Spaniel Daisy home in January, after a period of adjustment, she is an incredible addition to our family and faithful companion to our existing spaniel Willow. The Charity is amazing and explain in detail the adoption process and walk you through the whole experience, the after care and support is brilliant too with a behavioural specialist available for advice. They use a very reputable and professional transportation service. I would have no hesitation in using their services again and have found the whole experience very rewarding.
The best 2 dogs ❤️
We originally wanted to adopt Salta in 2018, sadly we weren't able to due to behavioural issues. They were very responsible not to re-home at this time and offered us alternative dogs. We chose Clover, they delivered her directly to our door in November 2018. She's the most amazing and loving dog we could've wished for. She's great with our 2 cats and has been great at doggy daycare.
Salta came back up for adoption in 2020 after she had had training and was showing no more behavioural issues. We saw that no one seemed interested in her so we enquired and ended up rehoming her too! Although she's still nervous around loud noises and sudden movements she's absolutely lovely around everyone, she just wants to be loved by everyone, adults, children and other animals. She is also amazing with our 2 cats.
They're the best dogs we could've wished for, so loveable, happy and loyal.
We will always go to Santerpaws for dogs in the future and would highly recommend ❤️
Thanks for our 2 beautiful girls 😘
Adoption
We adopted Laurel through this charity following 2 recommendations. She arrived 2 weeks ago and is amazing. The whole process was professionally dealt with and very simple. We would definitely recommend this charity and applaud their great work...
This rescue goes above and beyond to…
This rescue goes above and beyond to save as many dogs as they can. They are only a small rescue with a lot of volunteers who also have jobs that they do around the volunteer work. I’m forever grateful to this rescue for doing a home check and going through everything thoroughly prior to me adopting my boy. I initially applied for a couple of different dogs but found we would not be matched so I totally understood that and the rescue then pointed me in the direction of one extremely handsome young man who has become my sidekick my best friend and whom I would not imagine my life without he is amazing. I highly recommend this rescue to anyone but and this is a big but please remember these dogs are street dogs and will have issues and need months possibly a year or more even to decompress. It’s not an easy ride but the time you put in is rewarding. The rescue are always there to help if you have any issues.
Absolutely amazing
Absolutely amazing! 100% recommend!
I adopted a dog from santerpaws a few years ago, they were amazing and supportive, very honest and helpful. Get communication and reliable. My dog arrived very happy and healthy and whenever we have had any questions or needed advice I've had prompt and helpful advice. Always some challenges with rescue dog settling in to a new environment and life but nothing unexpected.
Definitely recommended adopting from santerpaws. I've also spend time over in Bulgaria at the rescue, Pete and Justine work so hard and do an amazing job, take care and save sooo many dogs!
Thank you santerpaws!

We have had our Poppy for a year and a half we got her in lockdown and everything was smooth even though she was coming from Bulgaria, from start to finish all the staff were great. Would definitely recommend you adopt a Santa paws pup or cat.

Can not thank Santerpaws enough for our rescue dog Tommy (was Karlson). Turned down by UK charities because my husband and I work, Santerpaws allowed us to adopt after a thorough check. We have had to take things slow as he was nervous at first. But I can remember getting my old dog as a puppy from a farm in the UK and he was the same. Like all dogs, regardless where you get them from, you have to put in time, consistency and lots of love. He is such a happy little soul now but it has taken time- like any new addition to the family. Santerpaws has am extensive support system and I never felt alone. I will definitely get another rescue from them in the future.
Amazing dog rescue.
I have nothing but good things to say about this amazing place. We got our boy Benson back in September 2021. Everything went smoothly. From first talking to Justine about Benson to picking him up. We were shown video's of Benson enjoying where he lived and then on transport day we were given regular updates along with videos so we could see how well the dogs were being looked after. I can also say my parents got their dog not long after we got Benson and were equally happy. My dad recently passed away and they were lovely enough to personally message me to send on their condolences, but also to find out what would be happening with their dog as he was only down in my dad's name on their paperwork. So this just goes to show how much they care about the dogs they rescue.
Absolutely amazing place. Couldn't recommend enough.
