Abolute garbage

Abolute garbage, the computer I ordered was completely non functional after a month due to heating issues I ended up having to build my own anyway as their service department simply ignored my emails (there is no phone number).

Ordered a new gaming PC on the 18th of…

Legit business.
Wait times can be a bit burdensome at times and I wish for a bit more transparency in regards to extended wait times, better communication.
Never have any issues with the tech I receive from these guys.
Thanks again!

I would avoid preordering GPUs from…

I would avoid preordering GPUs from Scorptec - I ordered the Intel b580 with an ETA of the 27/12/24. It has been nothing but delays and poor communication. I am still yet to see my order and most other local stores are now fully stocked and offering same day dispatch. I will certainly not be trusting them with a 50 series preorder.

Slow to Ship.
I ordered a new CPU online 3 days ago, it still is "Awaiting warehouse allocation".

Not good enough. Have asked for a refund.

Excellent communication and pricing

I custom built a computer on their website and had them assemble it. Communication was excellent, and one compatibility issue was quickly raised. The pricing was also very competitive and the unit was delivered promptly and well packed.

I recently purchased a gamer monitor

I recently purchased a gamer monitor. The website gave great reviews about the monitor (probably fake,) now that I've realised, as the monitor I bought does nothing it was said to do. DO NOT BUY. Waste of $300. Hidden surcharges

Hidden surcharges for tap and go purchases. They treat them as a credit card payment and charge you. They don't have signage and the staff don't tell you. Avoid this place as the products can be bought from other companies that don't try and sneak a fee past hoping you won't notice. Help staff don't even know thier own fees.

Never buying from this company again (been waiting 2 weeks for my items to be dispatched)

Never buying from this company again. Ordered 6 parts all but the RAM saying in stock. Promised delivery time of 3-5 days, 1-2 days with express shipping. Almost paid 100 dollars for the express shipping but so glad I didn't. After paying on Sunday, I received an email saying the out of stock RAM would be arriving to their warehouse on Wednesday, so I thought cool my order will be dispatched then, no harm done. Thursday and Friday go by with no word from them, with all items still awaiting warehouse allocation, even though its just the RAM that is out of stock. I send a message on Friday afternoon enquiring about this, and get a response saying my order will be split into 2, so the in stock items will be shipped to me sooner. It has now been another week and all my items are still just saying ready to be dispatched (claimed dispatch time on their website is 1 day), and the RAM is still awaiting warehouse allocation. I tried calling up to cancel the RAM order as I can just buy some from a local store in Perth, WA, but I get put on hold for 5 mins then hung up on. This happens another 4 times before someone finally picks up after being on hold for 20 seconds. Thankfully they cancel my RAM order with no issues, and just blame my ready to be dispatched order on delays at this time of year. Its honestly really infuriating when other parts I've ordered for my PC from other websites arrived in 3 days, now I'm just waiting for almost 2 weeks now for these guys to even dispatch the order (all items in stock). Thanking my lucky stars I didn't pay for express shipping otherwise I would've been really annoyed.

Very slow so far...

Processes, delay to be reviewed to match competition out there. Like few other ones, bought from Scorptec to support as well "local" versus the Big Amazon, 5 days later still awaiting warehouse allocation ... not good enough for 2024/2025 when items are in stock unfortunately. No idea when I will receive the goods :/

Very likely my last buy, I was not even here for the price as they are equivalent to other stores.

After a week awaiting for dispatch I Ended up cancelling my order and order from pccasegear got my order delivered the next business day :)

Hi Florian,

We are very sorry to hear about your experience with us. I would just like to apologise on behalf of Scorptec for the delays that caused you to cancel your order.

This is definitely not the experience we want for any of our customers. I understand your sentiments and can fully understand why you needed to purchase elsewhere rather than waiting any longer.

We will continue to improve our service and do better next time should you consider us again in the future.

Regards,
Jarrod.

A bit slow on service

I purchased an i9 cpu on 26/11 - it was a little bit cheaper to buy it on Amazon but I thought to support a local business and the associated benefits????
02/12 I am advised that the item has just shipped (it took a week) with the estimated delivery in another 10 days (I am in WA). 2 - 3 weeks total. Amazon, their direct competitors probably would have delivered faster and marginally cheaper. Reading the reviews on here I suggest they put their prices up a bit and employ more staff.

2 x Defective Motherboards + Lost time

A very disappointing experience.

Had decided to treat myself with a fairly decent motherboard, that has the functionality I require for work purposes.

The first board I had collected was DOA, which incurred a lot of hours troubleshooting as well as a very long drive in and back home again.

When returning it, I was not allowed to change this out for another item of similar specifications, and I had mentioned my concern with regards to using this particular model (I had found a lot of people experiencing these types of issues online as well as a statement from the company addressing certain issues in manufacturing).

It was mentioned the board would be sent to the repair centre to be inspected, and then if fault was there, it would be replaced by the manufacturer.

My preference then was to be refunded if indeed it is defective, and that would be looked into depending outcome of inspection. If refund was not an option and could only get a brand new board (not refurb), it would be discussed and sent out on behalf of the manufacturer.

Later that week, I received a notification that the manufacturer approved the supply of a new board and it was ready for collection.

I spent over an hour trying to call the branch, and also support lines, with every phone call ringing out to discuss, which then led me to stressing somewhat.

I cancelled what I had going on, as I would not be able to get into the store for a while with other commitments and headed in to make it just before closing.

Being panicked/stressed, I went in and only grabbed the board, as I thought I've come this far, and if it's new, it should probably work.

When leaving the store, I decided to open the box and I was left unsettled enough to go back and question if this board was actually new and pointed out a few areas, however, reassured it was, no matter what I asked about, I was made feel to feel dumb for asking.

I got in the car, then took timestamped photos of the packing, debris, damage to the top of the antistatic bag and could not return back to the store as it was closing.

When unboxing the motherboard in a clean environment, it revealed much more (I had documented and recorded the whole process, 1 x constant video on DSLR & assorted photos using phone). Many holes in the bottom of the antistatic bag, a lot of rubbing in the box where you could see metallic transfer from the board to the box, debris and marks over the top of the board and paint worn screws holding heatsinks.

Due the stress, frustration, loss of time and downtime, I decided to set up a test bench and try flashing the bios, which worked - so I let looked past those above flaws and decided to assemble the rest of the components.

I was able to successfully post, select default Intel settings in bios, then install windows, drivers and updates as required. (Many restarts occured when updates were implemented) Once this was completed, I decided to shut down the PC.

When going back to the PC, I attempted to turn it on and it would not post, just no power to the board. Checked all my connections and they were all firmly seated in to the board and PSU.

Disconnected the front panel switch to try jump it and did nothing, not even ez debug led. Tried to clear CMOS / jbat1 with PSU disconnected, no effect. Tested the new PSU, and it works with no issues.

Tested with alternative ram configurations, just incase, no effect.

Then remove all hardware from the board (only ram, SSD, CPU and AIO installed), inspect CPU/pins (no issues there/ to see if it would get a response.

With no response, I would attempt to try and reflash the bios incase somehow the prior one that worked, just didn't work anymore.

The flash bios would commence, a few slow blinks then fast flashing, as if it was writing but never actually finishes, just going on endlessly. Left it running for quite away, incase it was a slow write, but just kept going.

Spent over 12-hours through the last process, attempting multiple times, with inclusion of clearing CMOS inbetween, but nothing, it will not complete.

Board will not turn on or function.

I've sent detailed requests to Scorptec and yet to respond to my ticket, had tried to call a bunch of times, was only able to get through when it was close to closing time, and support was not helpful in regards to the situation, only suggesting that I now need to spend more of my time and money returning it, 0 acknowledgement with regards to my ticket, and it will need to go through the process which can take up to 4 weeks for an outcome.

So much for trying to save a few dollars with the special, because this has turned into a nightmare with an incredible amount of lost time, and much added expenses.

What I don't understand is why I was refused a product of similar specification/or refund, when it does mention this in their Terms and Conditions.

Paulo send replacement parts to wrong address then gaslights

Ordered 2 orders totalling basically an entire AM4 pc with all the lil bits n pieces

The PC Case is out of stock so takes a week to ship ok-

The PC case finally comes; with no screws so i contact support

Support thinks im not smart enough to wipe my ass

(by this i mean i had to send multiple messages with support over 3 days that i dont have any screws/packets whatsoever but my statements arent even responded to/believed ;Paulo simply insists i look again/check x spot and sends me a handy photo to compare )

So i send an identical photo of the same spot missing the screw packets in my case, and finally they believe me that there isnt a single pack of fkin screws

1 week later i remind them i still need screws,

They post it the next hour after i email, (coincidental im sure)

Paulo papa proceeds to ship my screws to the wrong fkin state

Then tries to tell me after $1000 worth of parts arrive in south australia that my original delivery address was infact in victoria.

(Gonna elaborate on this some more, i actually saw the incorrect address and notified Scorptec on the same day it was shipped via Scorptecs support ticket system. Paulo replied around 48 hours later and insisted that it was my delivery address on the original order, and i was mistaken. 11/10 customer service)

So yeah my replacement screws just rocked up today in the wrong State. Dont buy from these guys the customer service doesnt exist and the workers can gaslight but apparently dont know how to read,I knew i should have gone to centercom

Edited for reply: i wont be removing any of the wording i used as i feel it to be an accurate representation of events. Ive added some extra context to help any potential future customers understand my frustrations. Please know while you may feel my language to be quite harsh and critical, please understand this is a restrained and moderated version of my opinion on the matter.

Also if the system automatically ships stuff to the home address on file for the account and not, yknow, the actual order address for the order, maybe you guys should actually fix that and stop assuming customer fault.

Hi Kaleb,

Thanks for sharing this concern. We sincerely apologise for the trouble caused in being able to get you the replacement screws.

I can assure you any error made was not intentional. I can see why this potentially occurred, we do have a Victorian address as your main account address and unfortunately our team member has sent it to this incorrect address, this does not excuse our error.

We also did not check with you for the most appropriate address to send these to. I am sure our team will definitely be able to sort this out for you.

Again we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

While I understand this has been a frustrating experience I would also like to ask that you kindly review some of the wording used in review, while I accept that the error is ours and have no problem with you sharing this experience, the manner in which you have described it and the wording used is not ideal.

We appreciate your continued patience in this matter.

Regards,
Jarrod.

Slow and negligent

We lost a client as a result of Scorptec. Twice we called in to complain about lethargic response and fulfilment times but they brushed us off. While waiting on our goods to arrive, eventually our client gave up on waiting for us and we lost their business.

Worst customer service I have ever had

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They would not accept that the product was faulty and refused to repair it under warranty. After multiple calls, they finally repaired the product only to return it with a new fault! When I phoned I would be on hold for 20 minutes only for the call to end as there was nobody there to answer it. They did not want to deal with my complaint. I was told they fixed the product despite there being nothing wrong with it according to their testing. The battery did not last 40-60 mins on a brand new laptop and was running hot. When it was returned the keyboard was not functioning properly. On the second repair I was told again there was nothing wrong with the device but they repaired it out of goodwill. When I called for a refund nobody would take my claim seriously and was told to go to VCAT as they would not speak to me anymore. I would NEVER purchase or deal with this company ever again!

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I recently purchased a Philips monitor from Scorptec, paying extra for express shipping as I needed the monitor urgently. Their website claimed all orders would be dispatched within one day, so I expected prompt shipping. However, after completing my purchase early in the morning, I received no order confirmation, no order number, and no receipt. This lack of communication was unsettling, so I contacted customer support to check the status.

After a long wait, I discovered that not only had my order gone missing, but the monitor I had purchased wasn’t even in stock at any of their warehouses – a fact not reflected on their website. This meant that despite their website allowing the purchase, they couldn't fulfill my order. I had to chase down my order status myself, only to learn that I had wasted my time and money on a product they couldn't deliver.

Frustratingly, I was told it would take 5-7 days to receive a refund, leaving me unable to purchase a replacement monitor elsewhere until the refund is processed. This experience has wasted hours of my time, and I still don't have the monitor I urgently needed.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend Scorptec. Their unreliable stock management, misleading shipping promises, and poor communication make for an incredibly frustrating buying experience.
