An absolutely fantastic weekend
An absolutely fantastic weekend. Amber (the site's events coordinator) arranged everything including our special request for catering (provided by an outside company which by the way were also brilliant - really good quality and plenty of it). Amber also ran all the activities on Saturday (she must have been exhausted by the end of the day!) and even found time to run all our kit to and from the car park. Depite the awful weather (well it was our winter camp) all the Scouts (and Leaders) had the best camp. Thank you so much.

Simply the best residential that I have been to. It will be really hard to beat their hospitality, professionalism and variety of activities on offer.
Thank you all.

The Branchett was a replacement from the Dothery Hughes which was unavailable.
The Branchett hall is undersized for the building.
We also had distressed Cubs due to graffiti in the dormitories, some of it was of a sexual nature, and some of it was scary for the coverage group.
We had to explain the graffiti to their parents.
We had a great weekend at Gilwell
We had a great weekend at Gilwell. The buildings were good as well as the staff.
The activities were a bit painful to book and staff lacked understanding that children do not come neatly in 12s!
The staff were the best
The staff were the best. Helpful, flexible and professional. A few minor housekeeping repair required but nothing essential.

Christmas Camp at Broadstone Warren
Christmas camp at Broadstone Warren was excellent. The led activities (crate stacking and Tomahawk throwing) were enjoyed by all our Cubs, the instructors were encouraging, allowing many to achieve their personal best in the activity. The Cubs made lots of memories doing the various activities we also laid on, including our legendary sweetie quiz.
The accomodation (Broadstone Lodge) was comfortable with new bunk beds, a good sized hall and an equipped kitchen which allowed our guest chefs to cook Christmas dinner for nearly 40 people.
Thank you to the BSW team - see you soon.

Great place
Great place! We have been there 5 years running! We use it for a retreat/staff development week and the accommodation / facilities work great for us a team of nearly 40!
Thanks again and see you next year!

We love Gilwell
We love Gilwell, its the home of Scouting HQ and the Scouts get excited every time we go there so we will always go back. Staying there was great, great location to access London as well as some great activities on site (when they are open - seem to be a lot under repair), the site did look a bit tired. Bookings was initially a nightmare but the management did really help and addressed a few issues to ensure that everything was ok. We do look forward to coming back and cant wait to see the development of the site after some TLC from the volunteer days. Thanks all.

Great, but room for improvement.
Site and staff were brilliant, mostly. But booking process long and hard work. Enough so that we made enquiries elsewhere, that we didn’t go ahead with.
Made an initial enquiry by email in August. Chased by phone and left messages a month later and finally someone got back to me and took my booking. Then a week later I get a call that I made an enquiry!
This issue lies with Scout Adventures central booking system and not Broadstone itself.
Once we were in the system it was all good and easy.
Staff are mostly ok but very relaxed. Nothing is a rush (including unlocking gates when you’re waiting in the rain), but the activity staff were happy and were good with the young people.
It’s a lovely site and will come again.

Brunton Park Scout Group … From our initial enquiry through to…
From our initial enquiry through to planning and experiencing activities themselves we received tremendous service from all staff.
The accomodation and meals were excellent as were the instructors. The weather was not too bad either thankfully.

Such an inclusive ethos.
The staff were brilliant all the way through. We took some children with very high needs and they worked with us to ensure that they were fully included in the whole experience. The children and staff we took all had an amazing few days!

Lovely accommodation and a good welcome. Staff were mostly very helpful and the onsite activities (crate stacking and archery) were great but there is no shelter for bad weather. Kitchen and its contents were fantastic and well stocked. Thank you Broadstone Warren, we will be back!

Helpful staff with bookings and well…
Helpful staff with bookings questions up front and well presented, positive and clean site. With better arrangements around the activities on site would have made it 5/5 (both to discuss potential activity options and instructor availability in advance, and then instructions with booking info / on the day about what to do would be helpful).

Highly recommend Great Tower
We had the most incredible time over 4 weeks with over 800 students aged 11 and 12 at great tower. The staff on site could not do more for us, the activities were great, the food was fantastic and the welcome was just amazing. We can't wait to go back!
