The delivery guys

The delivery guys, Todd and his mate where amazing ! Arrived on time, very polite and helpful. Very considerate to our property. Loving our new Sofas.

SCs Scunthorpe

I visited the Scunthorpe scs store and found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. I decided to buy a 2 seat recliner sofa with a centre console.Delivery was excellent the crew were very friendly and careful with our new sofa and made sure everything worked and was in good order.A very satisfied customer

Excellent delivery guys

It proved to be very difficult to get the sofa through our doors. The guys delivering were super chilled and friendly and eventually with doors removed and unit moved, they got it in and checked it thoroughly.

100% on delivering on time

The 2 gentlemen that delivered my sofa etc were both very good at what they do even though I’d covered my carpet as it was a wet day they removed their shoes each time, they made sure everything was were I wanted it placed
Nothing was too much trouble

Threadbare sofas…

We purchased 2 3seater griffin sofas they were delivered early June. We were advised that the material was child and pet proof ! About 2 weeks ago I noticed that the seats on the recliner were sagging and the material had stretched and was almost threadbare I have from day 1 had covers on them all due to everything sticking to the material it really is awful!! I really don’t think less than 6months in it’s acceptable I’m hoping that the company will be honourable after reading this and contact me to do something about it for us I’m scared to sit on them now in case it goes into a hole in the furniture. I’m seriously upset and quite honestly rather angry about this as we had such hard sell towards the fact it was child and animal proof!! My kids are adults don’t live at home.

Very impressed

The delivery people were on time,giving us a phone call to inform us of their arrival time. They were polite and professional.They tested the sofa and chair and placed them where we asked. They were a credit to their company and SCS.

Good service in the store

Good service in the store. One slight paperwork problem that was easily solved. We need to change the delivery date and this was easily done.
Delivery was excellent. Tracking was really good. The two lads were vey helpful, set the sofa up and showed us how to operate it. They were cheerful, polite and very efficient

Unscrupulous and non transparent organisation.

Latest update wef Oct 25:
1. I have received full payment of outstanding balance.
2. Be aware that ScS do not have a customer focussed/transparent complaints procedure. Various complaints which l have read, support this.
3. Because of my experience, l have now involved 'Trading Standards' due to their poor advice and their unscrupulous business techniques.
4. ScS have 'moderated' at least 3 of my ScS reviews because they didn't support their image or expectations. In my case, it is very evident that they do not wish customers to submit realistic and truthful feedback.
5. I strongly advise to think twice, before doing business with ScS.

After rejecting a previous sofa due to manufacturing issues, l ordered a replacement in store, at the Scunthorpe showroom. I wanted a non-recliner to reduce the amount of weight and l also requested something that could be split in two for ease of manoeuvrability in the home. Therefore, taking the advice of the manager at the time l ordered a recliner because this was supposed to split into two. This said, when it was delivered it was all in one piece- l had been misled. The dust sheet was also damaged underneath so l am now potentially in the process of another dispute with SCS After Care. Please also note that l am still awaiting a refund between the difference of price between the two orders. The new in-store manager has been extremely helpful but l am now waiting for these matters to be resolved by SCS 'After Care'.

I ordered a single leather chair in…

I ordered a single leather chair in December, which had to be made at the factory and eventually turned up in February. Having paid over £1200 for the chair i have still not received the care kit which I paid for and the quality of the chair is poor. I have complained about the thin leather and loose padding underneath, which is aleady leaving the arms and back looking badly creased and pitted. Despite continued complaints to the showroom manager and emails to customer care, I have had no response whatsoever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I called the customer support number yesterday after I had finally received a voicemail message from them.
As previously experienced, after being held in a queue for 2 hours I was disconnected!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Thank you for finally attempting to contact me. As it has been impossible to get through on your phone line, I have had to resort to this. I will try once more on Monday morning, but failing that can you please call me between 2 and 4 pm on Monday, when I should be available on the mobile number.

Excellent delivery

The two young men (Chris & Todd) who delivered my furniture were excellent. The furniture was very difficult to deliver because of the narrow doorways in my home. They did it beautifully and were very courteous and professional

Delivered professionally and assembled professionally tested before leaving. Asked if I had any questions showed me how to operate it.

F shambolic

Work allowed me leave for delivery of sofa when mine was due only for the delivery service to go to 3 other drops and pick up the sofa they forgot for my delivery , had loss of earnings at work due to the carelessness of my order being processed and collected properly , will not be using scs again , absolute shambles of a service .
