Another great booking experience
Once again I had a very good experience booking a cruise with Seascanner, the price shown initially was the final price which is great (some agencies show a cheaper price on the first page which is never the final), that is why I use Seascanner to book my cruises.
The system and the booking form to fill is very easy to complete and they are very good in responding to emails.

Fabulous service from this company, booked from Ireland tickets were issued in German but open a second page of Google translate and away you go, had to contact them for check in related problem and was sorted out tickets were issued speedy once the cruise line had all our information

Credit card payment refusal
On 12/4/22 receipt of my credit card details was confirmed.
On 17/4/22 this was again done.
On 19/4/22 a first payment of Euro 406,- was taken from my credit card.
On 29/6/22 I was informed that my bank was refusing to honour the final payment of Euro 1.970,-.
I immediately called my bank and was informed that this was indeed so BECAUSE Seascanner had used the wrong cvc number.
I immediately emailed this info tt Nicole Woith.
On 30/6/22 an exact repeat of 29/6/22.
On 1/7/22 I was again informed that my bank was refusing to pay.
I called the bank a third time and was given the same reason for refusal
This time I called your Hamburg office and spoke to Tara who kindly told me that the cvc number Seascanner was using was 976.
The correct number is 376 as I pointed out to Tara and she obviously informed the colleagues involved.
The same day I yet again - third time - received an email confirming receipt of my credit card details.
Later the same day I was informed that my bank had finally honoured the final payment.
As the initial payment was raceived without problems
and as I was using the same credit card, I fail to uinderstand why the error was not spotted by yourselves sooner. Calling my bank on three consecutive days with the same problem was an embarrassing experience and an explanation for the repition of erros by yourselves would be appreciated.

We immediately checked this with our finance department what exactly had led to this untypical payment process:
When your credit card data were given to us first, there was indeed the wrong CVC entered and received. For the first payment, the CVC code was not used and the payment was successfully completed. When the final payment was due, we used the available credit card data from the first payment and the CVC code (of which we didn't know at the time that it was incorrect) and got the payment error message by the system. Following that, we contacted you and wanted to make sure to find the reason for this error message.
We are very happy that the incorrect CVC could be corrected on 1st July and that the payment was successfully completed then. Thank you for your support in this matter!
However, we absolutely understand your displeasure and the increased effort on your side and are very sorry for this. We will send you a little surprise by e-mail soon, please check your inbox.

The best cruise company, hands down!
This is the only site we use as a family to book our cruise holidays, the choice is vast and can be filtered down to our exact needs, the value is the best and dealing with the company easy, the only hard thing is they are not a natural English speaking company, so you get most correspondence in German and need to use translation apps to understand all emails and booking information etc, hence the 1 star loss, other than that easy to recommend and very safe re money transfers and refunds most importantly.
