After having no heating or hot water…
After having no heating or hot water for 3 days an SGN employee came out to carry out work on my gas meter only to find the problem was with my boiler,nothing to do with why he was called out but not only did he stay to try and help me he also called another employee who came out and sorted my boiler in 5 minutes,both employees went above and beyond to make sure I had heating and hot water, cannot thank them enough the service was outstanding
Sgn subcontractor JDT
SGN employed JDT to do mains replacement. We had Drains broken by them . Facemask left in the garden. An employee came in to our house coughing not wearing face mask.. They left road plates unbolted down on the road which moved everytime a car went over them. The bolts were found in the road and in people's tires . They are bully boys
Horrendous wait times
Horrendous wait times. Made payment and I am now waiting 13 weeks to get our gas connected. A lot more than originally quoted of 2-4 weeks. Feel completely powerless as I can’t use any other providers.

Had a gas leak in transmere Rd. sgn staff are brilliant, helpful, work really hard. We don't often give reviews but were so impressed that we felt we have to post a review. Hope the company appreciate them as they are a credit to any company
So I live at grampian court in Perth
So I live at grampian court in Perth, I work nights so I spend my day sleeping or at least trying to sleep when these morons are drilling into the side of my building. Listen here SGN how about some common decency and posting maybe a letter through everyone's door around the houses that your going to be making serious drilling noise and sorry for the inconvenience. No just some common decency wouldn't be missed.

We called about a leak and SGN attended very promptly. It took nearly 3 days having to dig huge holes to locate, and access the mains a metre and a half down. It was boiling hot but the lads were polite Indy and friendly. They could have insisted I had a meter box on the outside of my house but managed through hard work to get the new plastic pipe through the old one. Within 2 hours of them finishing another man came to connect and check the appliances we’re working. The following day a man and truck arrived to fill the holes. The following day someone else put soil and seed on. Immediately after that the plastic fencing was removed. How was that for efficiency. Excellent. Thanks very much.
Being disorganised reaches a new level.
A simple meter move has turned into an unfunny comedy errors, very disappointing. Missed appointments, non sensical emails, zero or late communication from SGN coordinators about changes to dates and times. SGN engineers turning up unannounced to do the work, knowing that it is work that requires other tradesmen to be in attendance, so could not be completed in an ad hoc manner. Shambolic.
A bunch of cowboys
A bunch of cowboys. They turned up late afternoon saying they were going to dig up my drive. When I told them that I needed a written undertaking that they would put things right and how long it would take. This was not emergency work and they had already been told that I needed a guarantee in writing that my property would be repaired afterwards.
They then cut my gas off! I am hoping this will be quickly resolved and have been told they will give me the necessary guarantee but they are bullies and very unpleasant and should not be cutting gas off when all bills have been paid and there is no emergency.
Scoundrels
Because of SGN my new house is not ready as they are taking ages to connect the gas to the main . The other utilities gave all been completed but SGN are unresponsive . Their chat and whats app connections don’t work and then they hide behind GDPR to obfuscate. Scoundrels that have a monopoly and know it

Just had a call re a new connection which I have not asked for. Seems they are desperate to promote their filthy pollution before its too late...the female was the most unpleasant creature I have ever came across...btw I have worked for utilities for 35 years!!
Gas mains replacement
This is more a review for Worton, which was subcontracted by SGN to replace the gas mains in my street. I have to compliment them on an excellent job. The mains replacement for the entire street, including things like moving gas meters, was completed in 5 days (Monday to Friday), including complete restoration and asphalting of the holes dug in the pavement. Well done guys!
carbon monoxide alarm triggered
Called SGN after our carbon monoxide alarm was triggered, the engineer from Chrisrchurch in Dorset arrived at my house within half an hour of my initial call, his name was Kevin Jones and he was very professional and polite which made us all feel alot safer at 1am on a Sunday Morning. His advice even made us feel more like we made the right decision to call. Very impressed and would higly recommend in an emergency situation.
Noise pollution
SGN have been doing roadworks at the end of Brunswick Place Hove for 2 weeks. They have been digging up the road at 6.30am and 10 in the evening.
They have traffic lights controlling the traffic 24/7 regardless so its not to avoid disrupting travel, just residents, cheers guys
SGN were professional, attentive and friendly
SGN arrived for a gas leak and undertook work for us within an hour. The ended up spending several days, working long hours to resolve a challenging situation. I was genuinely taken aback at how dedicated and professional each person was, and they involved us in any decisions to be made. The only feedback I would say is that 16 hour days are not healthy for your team, they will make mistakes after so long working hard, but I was told you're working with the HSE on that.

Found ourselves without gas on a Saturday night. The smart meter has failed. Our gas supplier shut till Monday. Phoned SGN careline, their engineer arrived within an hour and fitted a new meter. Fantastic service we're very grateful

We lost our gas supply unexpectedly
We had a problem as we lost our gas supply unexpectedly. The call handler at SGN was great and reassuring and the engineer Mitch came round at midnight and sorted it within an hour. He was so friendly and thorough. I couldn’t fault this company.
