SGS 5 In one multi Strimmer

I purchased a 5-1 mutli tool from SGS a few years ago and its worked fine until recently. The diaphragm has gone in the carburettor. I called SGS and they advised that i needed a whole new Carb which i purchased from them as advised. It turned up and its different to the one on there. I Called them today to find out that the Carb for my model has been disconnected. The strimmer is only 7 years old. They have advised they only keep parts for 5 years after a product is discontinued. Its not as they still sell it but they have modified the carb which is different...If you are looking for a reliable product then this isn't one and i'd say the company as well as they don't want to know.....if i could give a zero i would

Awful to deal with

Firstly, when ordering stated free delivery, but then charged £6.99 for carriage. Items arrived and had wrong end joints, reported the issue, offered to send them FOC and wanted another £6.99 to deliver them. Then advised the wrong quantity. Gave up and bought the additional parts elsewhere. Would not use this company again.

Item on website didn't match delivered

Ordered an item - Einhell 18V Cordless & AC Powered Air Compressor.
Item that arrived was 18V Cordless only (didn't include the AC option).
I raised with SGS, and they said it was a website error and they only stock the cordless version, they did the return - which was slow, and it takes them over a week to process refunds after they've been checked by their warehouse, even after their mistake...
It's now been a month since I informed them of their website error, and they still sell the item with the wrong details on their website (It was confirmed by webticket that IT were informed on March 24th, ticket num: 769703) . Very poor that they can't update a single web listing after a month.

SGS grass trimmer

I am writing a review on my experience with SGS own brand petrol grass strimmer/bush cutter. It was purchased 4years ago. The grass trimmer is very good in term of reliability and performance for the money I paid. I use it ocasionaly for cutting grass at my allotment. However it has a weak spot - these are the tiny trasperanf fuel hoses that run from the petrol tank to the engine. They are made of materal, that after a while gets damaged by the petrol and tears out. I am a bit handy person and managed to replace it with suitable hose and the trimmer is working fine till now. I am just mentioning this problem, hoping the people from SGS will take it seriosly and improve the product.

No problems whatsoever

Ordered an air compressor from this company and although I had an issue with their delivery charge they sorted it out over the phone. Placed the order around midday and my compressor arrived the following day. I'm pleased with my purchase and the company.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed! As it comes to warranty claim, this company doesn't accept any liability. Instead waste your time with troubleshooting for their defective products. Avoid buying their own shit brands.

Absolutely shocking customer service

Absolutely shocking customer service, They are charging me nearly £15.00 because FEDEX say they attempted delivery, I was home, they did not attempt anything

Missing items.

Ordered some loading ramps. I omly used them once. Realised yesterday that they should have been supplied with some straps, I asked them if they should have had straps, I was told I was too late to request them as the delivery was over a week ago…. Won’t be using again.

Beware delivery service is poor

Beware that this company uses a delivery service that isn’t helpful and doesn’t stray from its protocol.
Ordered a large toolbox and I thought it was to be delivered on a Monday when I’m home. Suddenly gets delivered on a special delivery on a Saturday. Phoned the driver to get my next door neighbour to receive it and was told no, it had to be delivered into my property only.
So I cancelled the order with sgs and then was told as it’s being returned to them they are charging me £100 for return fee.
Beware read their terms and conditions because they have hidden charges. I didn’t even want a special delivery

Matt understood the our fixed point limitations and produce the item which fitted perfectly.

SGS returns, not what it should be.

I purchased a car jack to be used for home servicing, etc. I dont have a business or work on cars weekly. I just tinker every so often. The jack arrived, but I found out that it wouldn't go under my car if the tyre was flat so I thought I'd exchange it for a low profile one. SGS, dont do exchanges, so u have to request a refund and arrange for it to be returned,which I paid for. When they received it back they claimed it had been used and refused to issue a refund. THIS ITEM WAS NEVER USED. I put the 2 pieces of the handle together but NEVER put it in the jack. They sent me photos of damage and claimed it must have happened when i put the handle together. I had to pay for the item to be delivered back to me and was told by them to sell it on ebay. I received it back today, with a battered box and the wheels hanging out the bottom and found the damage is OUTSIDE of the handle connection area, so could not have been done when I connected it. Either way, I've lost trust in SGS.
Its easy to compliment a company when things go right, but you should judge them on dealing with things when they go wrong. SGS failed with a £100 car jack. I will be looking elsewhere for my toolbox and garage storage.
