Shariah council in dewsbury

Shariah council in dewsbury, helped me get a Khula. The process itself took about 4/5 months, they kept giving me regular updates and if I required further information I would call them and they managed to help me over the phone. They were very sensitive about my case and all in all they did a really good job. I would highly recommend people who are struggling or if you are unsure what to do to reach out to them.

Honest Islamic service

Honest and professional Islamic service. Having studied Islam myself, I could see that the service i was receiving was genuine. I would recommend this organisation to everyone.

Resolving a dispute via the Sharee Council is better than hiring solicitors. It is cheaper and more amicable.

Avoid if you want a fair unbiased service

To all the sisters out there, please avoid using this council. They are incompetent and untrustworthy. They have treated my sister in the most irresponsible manner and its sad to see that this place is heavily relied upon by struggling Muslim women.

We have evidence to back up our experience and moreso even recent occurences which could probably ruin this establishments entire reputation.

One of very few genuine organisations remaining to uphold the beauty of our deen

My experiences at this organisation have been very positive. Having used their various services, I was thoroughly satisfied. I am aware of others who have used their services upon my referral, and have found the service to be professional and helpful.

The procedure/policies are clearly outlined on the website. They were followed as outlined.

In practise the process is quite simple. I Complete the online form and provide information and input when required. All the background work is done by the Council.

It is extremely helpful to have their female staff also present when attending a meeting. Not only that but a female member of staff stayed with me throughout.

I was able to easily make contact, and always got a clear response.

They truly uphold Islam and approach very challenging matters in a sensitive way.

Without such an organisation, the help needed by Muslim women especially, would not be available.

Absolute rogue council

Absolute rogue council, misogynistic men, a joke amongst all other councils. Stay away from this money grabbing council, a panel of horrible human beings who abuse their position of power. When I explained to other councils and highly knowledgeable scholars about how this council had handled my case, they were shocked and disgusted. This council is known to other councils in the UK who also warn of their poor practices. These men do not represent Islam and will be punished for their treatment of women. They are corrupt and I am content with the knowledge they will be held accountable for their corruption to our beautiful deen.
Go somewhere reputable.

The Islamic Council really helped me with my issues. They are very neutral and more Muslims need to use their services. Moulana Munshee helped me with my problems and guided me towards the correct answers.

May Allah SWT bless the people working at the Islamic Council.

Good service for Muslim women whose husband’s refuse to divorce despite not fulfilling the role of a husband.

My ex husband had many complaints about me despite being married to me for many years and complained daily to me and others too, stating that he needed to get married again. He was actually hiding his affair and he got married again but refused to divorce me despite telling me that I was a bad wife and at the same time not fulfilling the role of a husband himself or father to my children as he lived in a different country with his new wife (previously mistress). With the help of the Sharee council (who did not know me at all) as I wanted to go to an independent council and allow my ex husband to express his side too without any bias. I was finally released from this marriage that was merely a contract and was not actually being fulfilled by my ex. The procedure was quite straight forward and the admin staff were always extremely helpful each time I called. They were not judgmental at all and they guided me on what I needed to do. I would definitely recommend the sharee council. Despite my ex husband refusing to divorce me, the procedure took about 4 months from start to finish which I think is fairly reasonable when you have a difficult person who refuses to cooperate in any way and does not acknowledge or accept that they are wrong. A great service for Muslim women.

A recognised Islamic Authority in the area

The previous husband of my daughter who is a Mufti of a known family in the UK, was not releasing my daughter from his Nikah as he had a mental illness. As soon as the Sharee Council contacted him he issued talaaq.

Also they facilitated in getting my daughter’s belongings returned as it took more than 2 months to get what is due to her.

May Allah swt unite all young women and men with good/honest people who will help each other get closer to HIM swt.

Jazakallah to the Sharee Council for all their help in this most difficult time for my daughter and family

Highly recommended and Fair

My experience of using the Dewsbury Sharee Council has been positive. I am not biased in my opinion, but rather because I found the council members very knowledgeable not only in Islamic laws, but of the legal restrictions and British Law in general. The process was clearly outlined and certainly doesn't cater for women wanting 'quick divorces' as expressed in many disgruntled reviews. Rather I found it lengthy, given the nature of decisions being made, rather acceptable. I found it challenging, I was expected to provide evidence and was interviewed. Again all acceptable. I found this council capable of delivering justice, fair and very professional. I would recommend this council to everyone. Thank you.

Most women go to these people as they easilly give an islamic divorce so she can remarry again. These guys grant the girl a "khulla". And its not according to islamic rules. Go to a proper mufti and have a one to one. And if girls think they are free because dewsburry granted them khulla. Think again. Its not done properly according to islam. Make sure your marriage is ended correctly according to islam.

The Sharee Council employs a rigorous process for the Islamic dissolution of marriage (faskh). It is compliant with Islamic law and also ensures that UK law is not undermined.

As part of the process, both husband and wife are contacted in writing and given an adequate opportunity to respond and present their version of events. Similarly, participation at the meeting stage of the process is vital; both parties are accorded this opportunity and are invited.

For further details, please refer to the procedure here: https://shareecouncil.com/services/islamic-divorce-faskh-or-khula

Often, before issuing a decision, the Sharee Council is able to give due consideration to an amicable settlement if both parties participate in all steps of the process. It is with regret that one of the concerned spouses takes this process lightly and fails to engage adequately as per their duty to Islamic law.

Please be acquainted with the nature of and the difference between the various types of Islamic divorce: talaq, khula and faskh. The Sharee Council cannot and does not “grant khula” since a khula, as per Islamic law, is only possible with the agreement of husband and wife and is generally in exchange of a monetary return such as the dowry (mahr).

Finally, the Sharee Council offers a number of Islamic services with proficiency and professionalism, for both men and women. Please refer to our website for further information: https://shareecouncil.com/services
