This trip is good if you are fit and able to get around the many towns involved on this tour, if you have mobility issues do NOT do as some of the streets have tough terrain. One of the hotels SudAmerica in Fuiggi wasn’t the greatest. I paid a single supplement, in which is fine, if it has a double bed but this room had a single bed and no more room to swing a cat (see photo) Also the food was not satisfactory for consumption. All the other places we stayed in were a lot more luxurious, even if they were 3 starred hotels.

very long coach journeys between places, living out of a suitcase due to number of hotels you will stay in. Food was not to a good standard.

Tour good, crew excellent, shame about trips taking a long time to and from, hotels were not the best but adequate. Food was okay (edible) Sarah and Nigel made a mediocre holiday very enjoyable.

The holiday as a whole I found very satisfactory but there was a lot of travelling and a lot of miles covered and it wasn’t really highlighted in the description of the trip. I also felt that it might be an idea to have b&b instead as it felt very rushed in the evening to get to dinner after only getting back to the hotel an hour to hour and half beforehand. On the whole I found the experience very enjoyable but I think the more older passengers found it very difficult. The coach crew were very good and very informative and helpful.

I enjoyed the holiday, although I did not realise how much travelling was involved but that was my fault for not looking into the holiday beforehand. Nigel and Sarah were excellent and made the journeys informative and amusing at times. There was only one hotel we did not like and think this should not be used again. I saw lots of places that I had never been to and made friends with some lovely people.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Classical Italy tour. Everything worked well for us, the journey, the resorts and the hotels. We were also blessed with two terrific drivers - Nigel and Sarah. There was one particular hotel - Fiugge, which many of our passengers complained about. I have to say that there was nothing wrong with our room.

Well organised and value for money holiday. From being picked up by the feeder coach and the journey with our main coach, we felt looked after by professional and considerate drivers. Wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Shearings Coach Holidays, especially the Classic Italy holiday.

We have had a brilliant holiday with Shearings to Italy. It’s a long journey down to Italy but that’s expected plenty of breaks though. Our drivers/tour manager were both brilliant and tried the best to make the holiday special for everyone. They were both very helpful and accommodating and a real credit to Shearings. Most of the hotels we stayed in were of a good standard but one was like Fawlty Towers and very run down. Some of the food was hit and miss but that said we loved the holiday and will look at travelling with Shearings in the future.

The holiday allowed us to visit all of the wonderful sites of Italy: none of which were a disappointment.Overall, it was very good value and fully worth it. Some of the travelling on the coach was extremely long esp in the first couple of days but as I am fine on long coach travel this was not an issue for me personally. My two teenager sons absolutely loved the whole experience. Paul.

The holiday was hard going in the heat but we visited a lot of places. It was advertised with porterage which only happened at the hotel at Garda and on the arrival at Fiuggi but not departure. Because of our age for us porterage was one of the selling points! I have been to Italy many times but my friend hadn't and she and a lot of other people on the couch were surprised by the lack of information given by the drivers and I've never been on trip when this hasn't happened. They were however very good drivers. The leg room on the coach was very limited and there were no footrests which considering the amount of travelling involved was not ideal. However I did enjoy visiting all the places again.

Although lots of coach time, we got to see many great places. A nice taster for future trips. Hotels good, but food was a disappointment, except the Blondi Hotel, food was excellent. A small map of Sienna & Florence would of made life easier.
