Classical Italy A very intense journey crammed full of sightseeing and optional excursions. Always on the go with early starts and long hours on the coach but plenty of stops along the way. Although some people over eighties in our group I can't say it's a good way to travel as some trips too hard going. Don't expect free time at hotel to use pool or pop out for evening stroll. It is arrive, eat and bed and up early hours to continue the route. Don't expect luxuries or relaxing time as this is a full on trip living out of a bag literally. Hotels were basic but clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Meals were limited for choice but enjoyable. Drivers were outstanding, nothing was too much and our safety and welfare was their priority. Although this tour is quite an endurance test, the scenery, places visited and overall adventure is most definitely worth it knowing that you will be cared for from start to finish. I must admit I was absolutely shattered when I got home. However a thumbs up from me as loved the places we visited even though only a few hours with not really enough time to enjoy it all but it was a taste of Italy and that is what you get. Would I do it again? Maybe not! I think the long hours spent on a coach could be reduced with a better itinerary but there again, I really enjoyed it.
