We're a small, family-run business based in West Wales, recycling whelk shells from our family's seafood processing factory rather than sending them to landfill. We crush, clean and dry the shells into a sustainable, decorative product ideal for use in the garden and beyond. The shells are available in various bag sizes from 1Kg to 800Kg bulk bags. Great for; Mulching garden beds. Useful for drainage in plant pots. Perfect as a decorative top layer in containers or pathways. Loved by gardeners for being natural, long-lasting, and slug-deterring.

First order from Shellonearth, a greenhouse thermometer and copper twine line. Arrived very quickly, the slate thermometer was larger than I expected but love it, well made just ready for greenhouse and the copper twine line is beautiful again well made can't wait to use it a thing of beauty.

Gorgeous shells look lovely in plant pots. Note for all dog owners - we left a sealed packet on the floor and our dogs tore it apart while we were out as there is a bit of a fishy smell for the first couple of hours.

Brilliant company
I love this company, have dealt with them for a few years now, I find the shells great for covering the top of my pots in the garden, and it really does make my soil stay moist for longer, also keeps the slugs and snails at bay, which I always seemed to lose the battle before using the shells, delivery is always spot on as they use DPD and I have never had a problem with DPD ever, and they are at my home often. Website is easy to use, I have also bought a few bits and bobs for stocking stuffers for Christmas. Brilliant company A* 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The product was as expected but the website is not easy. After chosing the presents I wanted to add some swhelk shell but was unable to add to the order. I had to create a new order and forego the discount.
