No returns accepted! My dress is too small and I have to pay to ship it back to them to receive a store credit to buy a bigger size. Serious lesson learned, always read the return policy. Who the wants store credit???

This is a company that false advisories…

This is a company that false advisories the product of their clothing items. I ordered a very expensive dress on this site and the dress was poorly made and although the site states returns are allowed in 30 days the site would only offer me a credit which I did not want. I disputed the charge since this is not acceptable at all. I would highly recommend to not order from this site they are just looking to take your money and the fabric they use to make their dresses is probability worth $20.00 and they are charging over $200.00.

Received two fantastic dresses, and follow through in communication with customer care

Initially, I had a challenge in getting a few questions answered via email, though with a bit of patience and repetition clarity was presented. I inquired for knowledge of a dress style’s future color releases, and did get to an answer of “very soon” and the expected color list. So I refreshed the page until the product was released, and received the dress I wanted in one of colors I needed for my wardrobe. The quality is excellent, so much that I would consider purchasing it in more than one color. Love it! And well priced. For the satisfaction upon arrival, I will shop with Jaus again, which will be my 3rd purchase.
I also called on the phone to ask about fit, compared to what I read on the website, and the person in-store provided an accurate description of what to expect when the dress arrived. I’m one of those people who does not enjoy the return / exchange process in general, so solid hands-on advice is extremely valuable to me: this is something you don’t often find in the majority of online retailers today. Absolutely feeling better about Jaus, since the email efforts.
Months before, I purchased a gorgeous sequin gown by Nookie from this shop, a brand I frequent and know well, and I was satisfied with the delivery time for both this special event and for my recent purchase.
Both purchases arrived well packaged and protected. As mentioned, I do all I can in advance to avoid returns and make good choices, so I can not tell you of the return experience. However, it seems very straight forward and there is even a card inside the package making very clear that returns are handled with grace and understanding.
I’ve already have my eye on the next dress I want for purchase number 3, and expect this to be the beginning of frequenting their website as a wardrobe resource.

Their response is always "we're a small business", well we're hard working people that put our trust and faith in your products only to receive a much cheaper version of what's advertised online.

I ordered the Lovers Dress for my…

I ordered the Lovers Dress for my bridesmaids. The quality was incredible and the shipping took 2 days. We had to exchange one size, but the customer service was so fast and friendly. I highly recommend. So many people are leaving bad reviews because they didn't read the return policy. Larger companies have the same policy so I’m confused. Blame yourself for not checking.

I ordered a $400 gown that was too…

I ordered a $400 gown that was too large and the material was in no way worth the price tag. I went to return the dress online until I was shown that it was only available for store credit. Who does that? I worked in merchandising for luxury goods for years and there is no excuse as to why refunds are not available, even if the store is, “small.” The fact that no where on the website explicitly mentions the refund “policy” is manipulative. You clearly don’t care about your consumers and their customer experience because I would have continued to shop here if it wasn’t for this. You won’t last long if you think tricking customers is going to keep you going.

It is available to view on every single product page where we have the description, size tab and RETURNS tab. It’s also available on the returns policy page which is linked at the footer of our website which is a common location to find a return policy. The return policy states "We want you to love your new purchase. If for any reason you’re unhappy with it, you can return it to us for a Store Credit if the item meets our returns conditions listed below..."

The majority of our customers do not miss it and have been happily shopping with us for years.

There are a large number of boutiques that only operate on a store credit policy, so I would kindly recommend to check a return policy prior to making a purchase at a new store.

NO REFUNDS. Store Credit Only - Really?

I ordered a dress that I really liked the look of for vacation. I ordered a US 6 as I always wear a 4 or 6 in EVERY dress brand. It was way too small so I am in the process of returning. I ordered it in a 10 as well as the size 8 was sold out. The 10 also did not fit. So, I am returning both and was at least able to find the same dress in a different color that fit as an 8. My qualm with this brand is that they DO NOT offer refunds. It is store credit only. I did not read the fine print of the return policy as I have NEVER encountered this at a web-based boutique dress shop. For dresses that are over $100 each and not true-to-size, they should really offer actual refunds, especially when you are ordering online and cannot try on first. I will use my store credit so that I am not out hundreds of dollars but, I feel as though this policy should be updated. I will not buy from here again except for using my store credit from my returns. The dresses are decent quality though so, if you are okay with not getting a refund, I would still recommend, just be careful as the sizing is not accurate.

A store credit policy is common with Boutique retailers like ours, so I recommend to look over the return policy prior to making purchases at a new store.

Terrible Customer Service

Do not order from here - worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a white jumpsuit for my rehearsal dinner for $300 something, it didn’t fit so I tried to return it. They sent photos back saying they could not accept my return because there were makeup stains. I was surprised because I was careful not to try on with makeup or self tanner, but ok, what can you do. Anyway fast forward, I get the jumpsuit back and there are NO STAINS. They actually sent a photo of someone else’s’ worn clothing. Appalled.

Scam - item never sent.

Scam - WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER.
Item never received. It never left their warehouse dispite being told it was en route for months. Eventually after being given multiple tracking numbers I read the reviews and realised it wasn’t ever coming.

Finally got a refund via PayPal dispute 3 months after I bought the jumpsuit. Awful experience, buyer beware.

Your package was only shipped out once with one tracking number, unfortunately it was lost in transit. Thankfully you had Route Protection Insurance and so we lodged a claim for you. At the same time, you had opened a PayPal claim, which then stopped our chances for Route Protection Insurance to refund your order, which could have been done in 7 days.

Once a claim is opened on PayPal, we or Route Protection Insurance are unable to do any refunds on our end until that investigation is completed. PayPal takes approximately 3 months to complete investigations. They have covered the transaction for the both of us, as the package went missing in transit.

We would have much rather you received your gorgeous Jumpsuit instead of going through this process. It's really upsetting for us as well as a small business when this happens to our customers and our merchandise. However it is unfortunately reality that packages, especially international, can go missing or take longer than expected to deliver.

If I could leave negative stars I would. The quality is terrible. It looked nothing like the pictures. Their customer service is beyond terrible. I have been calling and email and have not been able to reach anyone. I am extremely disappointed for the price. They are a huge scam. DO NOT PURCHASE.

I WISH I READ ALL THE BAD REVIEWS BEFORE I PURCHASED OVER $500

It states in the Instagram bio * AUSTRALIAN FASHION* I purchased the dress which is advertised in $$, automatically thinking it’s Australian.
SNAKE TACTIC, you’ve advertised the price of the dresses to be the same as the Australian price also! The dress I bought is $316 in Australian, why is it the same price in USD? That’s almost double the price! To confuse the customer!
Only AFTER payment was I notified it was in USD **not at checkout** but when I received the notification from my banking app. I quickly asked for a refund and that I didn’t want the dress due to this reason. I get an email 48hours later stating that it’s already been shipped. I wait a month still nothing and now I’ve been offered a $300USD WHICH DOESNT EVEN COVER THE SHIPPING CHARGE OR THE ACTUAL AMOUNT I PAID FOR OR THE DRESS IN “USD”. THIEVES!! SCAM ARTISTS!!
I’m still waiting on a response! Please give my money back, this is not how you run an successful business.

You canceled the shipment from your end, being the last dress in stock, and then offered me a credit note. How is that fair?? You only covering $440 and I paid $500 AUS meaning shipping is $60, really ?
As soon as I realised it was in USD I emailed and mentioned it was a mistake and 48hours later you mentioned it was shipped out. I waited over a month for you to lie and say it was canceled from my end. That isn’t ethical at all! Also with shipping I paid $345 USD not $340USD. Your refund isn’t correct either

Given that it was canceled from your end somehow, you should be sending out another one free of charge and not handing over a credit note!
Also it doesn’t help that everything I want is out of stock in my size or only 1 left. I’m not about to make the same mistake of getting the last one in stock again, after what’s happening currently!
Could you at least send out the same dress in the black? Seeing that I’ve paid for the same amount? And you have my XS size available!

21st October and I’ve finally received my dress. Not sure if I would have, if I hadn’t take matters so publicly! If you charge someone for a product either replace the product or provide a credit note for the price of the product, not less. I will never purchase from here again!

Your $300 USD credit is for your return, we cannot include the shipping in the credit. USD (US Dollar) converts to a different amount in AUD (Australian Dollar). So if you have a $300 USD credit, this would convert to approx. $440 AUD based on the current exchange rate. The exchange rate changes everyday, you can google what the current exchange rate.

As a boutique carrying Australian brands, we do not set the RRP "Recommended Retail Price", that is set by the brands. We are not allowed to price them any different.

Shipping costs are selected by our customers at checkout, we have no control over what shipping you select. Unfortunately as stated earlier, we cannot refund that amount.

Unfortunately we aren't able to cancel a transaction once the product has been shipped out. We would have definitely done that for you if we hadn't yet shipped out your item.

Favourite online store!

I’ve been a returning customer for almost 4 years now, and love their huge range of Australian brands. Their shipping is very fast and I love how often they have new arrivals. It can be pricey for certain brands but the quality is worth the price. I’ve reworn a few dresses multiple times and they still look as new.

Best customer service experience I’ve had!

After accidentally ordering the wrong size, I quickly got in contact with the customer service team to switch to the correct one. The lady who answered the phone was so sweet and quickly edited my order for me. It was shipped out the same day. I just received it and the quality and fit is perfect. I’ll be coming back for more dresses and recommending JAUS to all my family and friends.

I can always count on this lovely shop…

I can always count on this lovely shop when looking for a wedding guest dress or a piece that I know will endure the ever changing seasons of design. I have purchased three nookie dresses from Jaus, all of which have been absolutely stunning. Personally, I’m not a fan of online shopping, so having the luxury of a boutique that sells Australian brands you can actually touch and try on is wonderful. The associates are pleasant and helpful, always coming to my rescue when I need that last inch zipped up! The window displays are updated in a timely fashion to preview the latest inventory.
