Shopmium Reviews 

Each and every time I have tried to use the shopmium app for a rebate, they email me with some excuse why they can't honor it. Today made 3x, I'm done.

Twice they’ve paid my cash back wrong. The receipt is there with it in writing and yet they pay me a different amount.

I let the last one go as it was about 5p but this time, I’ve emailed them. No response and that was 4 days ago.

Lousy app. Total scam. three different offers submitted. All three were denied, including the free welcome offer, which was Pillsberry chocolate chip frozen cookies. They have received from us twice now copies of the receipts and matching UPC codes and yet when it comes to distributing the funds it says oops or UGG there’s an issue. There is no issue. Everything is a perfect match. Don’t use the Scam app. And Customer Service… Forget it. Can’t reach a human being and no phone number provided. You get emails that respond back and make no sense and don’t apply to the situation. Total joke.

Great application, easy to use with good reductions

This company is a SCAM!! They run promotions that DO NOT WORK!! All their offers stop EARLY and their dates for the offer constantly changes. I was at the shop and bought the products and all of a sudden the cash back has expired on the spot! The staff of the app DO NOT EVEN READ your email properly and they fob you off without actually trying to help! This is the only app that makes you scan the barcode of the products you buy as an extra faff and useless step as most of the time I’ve eaten and binned the packaging. When you do buy a product you get a stupid message saying receipt has been used and to scan a different one which is a lie. I scan the same reciept back in and it works but delays the cash back or if you didn’t see the error they will deny your cashback. SCAM!! Shoddy app and shoddy customer service to say the least. Will be using a different app that runs smoothly and has better customer service.

Amazing App, and genuine company, I dont understand how a person can have a problem, follow what it says and you can even scan to check in store. I allot to pay to my bank and payments go back in fast, I guess its bank dependant for time but its a nice little app to try out new items and companies that want a review on their new items etc. its fun, I treat it as a fun little app rather than saving money, but i can see how a person may want to use it in that way also. Its a reliable and nice little app. xxxx

This app sucks and the creator needs to be done. Everytime I have submitted there is a problem. First, they take 3 to 5 days to even look at anything hmmm. Second, when they do respond its oops we still need more information like they are procrastinating to give you a rebate. When I've submitted receipts my pictures are clear everything they want and need is clear and in plain sight so I don't understand why they lie and say they need a new photo. Then when you resubmit something else is needed or a new problem occurs. It's ridiculous

I don't wish to give them any stars, but you can't leave a review without leaving a star. They take too long to approve the rebates. By the time they responds the rebates are no longer available and they deny your cashback request.

Great app. Saved loads of money, never had a problem with uploading receipts or getting money refunded, within afew days.

The app is awful. To explain what I mean, I will provide a comparison between GreenJinn and Shopmium.

Here is how to see and save a deal on GreenJinn:
- On the first screen the relevant deals are automatically selected, all the details are visible, and you can immediately click "add".

Here is how to see and save a deal on Shopmium:
- Dismiss whatever message pops up.
- Scroll across the list of shops.
- Scroll down until the deals appear.
- Select the relevant shop.
- Look at the deals.
- Scroll through the varieties carousel of a potential deal.
- Click on the deal.
- Wait for the deal to load.
- Be shown a completely pointless screen.
- Dismiss the completely pointless screen.
- Wait for the deal to load.
- At this point there is still no indication of when the deal will end or the price of the product.
- Click on a potential variety of the product.
- Finally we now see the price of the product and have enough information to know if we want to save it.
- Be surprised that the deal isn't available at the shop that we selected, thereby making the deal completely pointless.

On my phone Shopmium shows 0 deals when a shop is selected, because so much of the screen is wasted with repeating the shop name, the app title and the annoying image carousel. GreenJinn shows 4 deals and they have a lot more information.

It feels like the app developers went out of their way to make the worst possible design.

Had the same experience as many others, where the app said error when uploading receipt and scanning barcode. First attempt of cashback too. Never had a problem using SmartShop. A competitors site and app. Shame. Bit of a waste if time. Plus, I suspect this company will be guilty of putting out offers where the product is not available in store and it's a clever marketing ploy by supermarkets to get customers in the doors. Asda also guilty of putting different sizes of products where the one advertised for cashback is so one ends up buying the wrong size and unable to claim so please watch out for that. Happened to me on other app.

2nd time I use the app and again it did not recognise the bar code. Despite the fact the product was on the app for cashback at a morrison store. I think the negative reviews speak for themselves.

Signed up as this looked like a great way to save money however it appears to be a scam. Added offer for some beer and went to Tesco to purchase as it was noted as exclusive to Tesco. Scanned product in store to ensure it was the correct item and purchased. After uploading receipt etc Shopmium are refusing to honour the offer now saying it was exclusive to Asda and Sainsburys, (there was another offer running at the same time for the same item from these stores however I was thorough to check the Tesco offer was still active.) They are now saying the offer has expired and deny all knowledge of running this offer despite this being a promoted offer on the top banner of their homepage! I would advise avoiding this company as, like many other unhappy users on Trust Pilot, they do not award the cashback they promise.

*Update: The reply you see below from Shopmium they tag onto every negative review. Like most users I contacted support BEFORE leaving this review and they refused to help as stated in original review. I also contacted after they left this "helpful" reply but guess what - they still refused to honour the offer they promoted.....?!?

Hoping this was something to save money. Scanned receipts and barcode still not had money into account. This was about 4 weeks ago with a promise this would be resolved. I really wanted to like this but fear it's a scam. Also agree with previous comments the products are quite high end and not really for the average shopper.

What a waste of time. Difficult to take photos as app says use a black background but still is hit and miss and be very carful. Offers listed under a supermarket might not actually be correct if the product is offered elsewhere all options appear for that product. You might find that the variation you bought was not for the supermarket you clicked. Example pizzas were on offer at waitrose which I clicked. 3 variations were available. Turns out the variation I bought was offer at morrisons. So why does it show under waitrose. Utter waste if time this app.

Customer service ignore emails, barcode does not scanner. Pathetic service
