Shoprite is not customer friendly

Shoprite has instituted digital coupons and it is the dumbest and most customer unfriendly system. They are asking us, the customers to input our choices of which purchases we want to take advantage of on an app in our phone. Then we have to wait on line to purchase the items. To the extent that we've missed an item and not entered into an app, the cashier has no way to cure it. You just lose out on the sale price. They do give you the right to go stand on line at customer service to request the sale discount. I missed one item each week for the last 2 weeks and opted to just leave without getting the sales discount. I decided that it wasn't worth standing on a second line. Finally, I've found an acceptable solution. I will no longer shop at Shoprite. Now I'm patronizing North Shore Farms. North Shore is more customer friendly.

I can't say one good thing about this…

I can't say one good thing about this horrible store, 7 season they have the worse produce. And the ones who cut the lunch meat are the worse. I am so glad that I shop at Wegman's. This is the best store ever. And ShopRite doesn't even deserve a 1 star.

ShopRite changes not for the better

I have always liked ShopRite and loved the new Stroudsburg store, that is until recently. I shop for myself and my uncle. I prefer to use the self-checkout so that I can pack my groceries the way I want without the pressure of the items being shoved to the packing area faster than I can pack, getting jumbled, crushed and bruised. After an hour of shopping at the Stroudsburg store I headed to the self-checkout and was told that I had to go to the register for check out because I had more then 20 items. Mind you, the self-checkout area had only 3 people checking out. There were a lot of vacant checkouts. I'm tired, I worked all day and I just want to go home and make dinner. I went to the registers where only 2 were open and both had lines of people with full carts. This makes no flipping sense to me. When it is finally my turn to check out, the groceries were shoved down to the packing area. I couldn't keep up and items were getting bruised and crushed. The cashier started bagging things, putting items in the bags that I did not want bagged together (meat with other food; refrigerated with dry good; etc). This was not a pleasant experience. I will take my business to BJ's, Weis, Giant, Brodheadsville - anywhere but Stroudsburg! They do not care about their customers. If they did and they don't want overcrowding at the self-checkout, then they should have 75% of their registers open.

SHOP RITE WEST CHESTER PA

I used to go to that place Shop Rite in West Chester PA . but there is a VERY RUDE man who does not look for solutions , creates problems at the checkout when paying! He is an arrogant senior who should not be in customer service! Plus his bad body odor! Really a very unpleasant experience visiting that place! Do not return anymore!

I like shoprite not all the locations…

I like shoprite not all the locations especially Ewing, NJ location. At this location some staffs don't like to help customers when they need help, some of them are rude, they laugh and giggle at some customer at the self checkout it is unacceptable at workplace. They act like some of the customer will steal their things like they stay by them and watch them not good. I like the sale items and the self checkout. The store is okay just have problem with staff behavior. The store can improve by training the staffs well on how to treat and respect customers especially the younger ones there.

Self checkout

Self checkout. No reason to be rude they are working due to people stealing company requires them to watch every item scanned. Sad that some people take it out on employee but not owners. So I will be posting videos of all Nasty people so your friends and family can see your ways when they aren't present. Respect your fellow man,woman .SMILE

Shoprite in Passaic NJ Hires Racist Security

Shoprite in Passaic NJ hires low quality so called minorities. Today I am waiting 12/19/2023 with my full cart for my ride around 3 PM by the exit because it is freezing cold outside. I was not feeling well. I went back in the store feeling I could get checked for theft because my receipt disappeared when I was outside. Sure enough Two Latinos working security tried to intimidate me questioning me by the doorway exit I stood by.
I could not get in my Yahoo email account for the receipt copy. My iPhone often locks me out of my email. Now I see the receipt copy in my email from my home pc. Finally someone checked the store camera when I said I was paying and walking through the store about 40 minutes prior to security trying to get me for theft. I kept my cool. They had me on camera paying & doing exactly what I said I did.
The Shoprite security people are not very bright. I would not be standing in an open doorway with people around me and my bags in full view if I was going to steal. I would try to hide the evidence and leave the store a lot quicker instead of hanging out there. I am white of mixed race with Hispanic in me. I have been accused of theft occasionally in stores. I always had my receipt until today. It has always been Latinos who try to get me for theft.

store but…

Shoprite before was a great store but after of covid they rise prices more than other stores.I will like they reversing that policy and continues being the friendly store that was before.

Bad smells

The shoprite butcher department has got the most awful smell . They sometimes deliberately burn food in the kitchen to hide the smell.pls send a health inspector

Won't do their jobs, orders always missing

Again, the home delivery workers don't want to do their jobs and keep substituting or not getting anything instead of buying what they are supposed to buy. It costs $10 to bring groceries to the house plus a tip. I may as well spend as much getting a taxi to and from my home and get exactly what I want. Shoprite isn't reliable in the slightest! If we still had an acme around here I would go there instead.

It is a sad timel…

It is a very sad time for upstate shoprite customers, due to all the closing. Shoprite is a great company, sorry to see them all close.I wish all employees of these 5 Shoprite the best and hoping you all can found another great job. These days are so sadden ,due to the world going crazy.BEST OF LUCK TO ALL employees in these 5 stores,I will pray for all if you.GOD BLESS. To the Shoprite bosses, do try to help the employees new jobs so sad.

I shop at my Vineland NJ store because…

I shop at my Vineland NJ store because it’s a union shop and I support unions.

I don’t like the two tier digital cupón and price plus. Everything didital should be automatically loaded to my card. Instead the super cumbersome loading of my card is so stupid. One click and I load all digital coupons or load all digital coupons to my card. You know I shop there and I’m a card holder. Why make me look at 200 items to load 20 items. Very poor customer experience with your digital web site.

Customer complaint regarding a store employee- Elizabeth Ave. Somerset,NJ

This is in reference to the Elizabeth Ave. Somerset store about an employee stocking goods by the name Selwyn. I'm on the aisle where he is stocking goods and he made a sign to me not to pass on that aisle. Knowing that I'm an Asian, he thinks he can do that. I didn't mind it but when I passed by again and he is still there, I saw him that he let the others who pass by since they are not Asians. My husband, who happens to be white American went there and he let him pass. This is not fair. Corrective actions should be taken.

Excellent customer service

Very impressed with the customer service at Shoprite, Vernon, CT.
Debbie and Amillion from the floral department are the BEST!!
Will, at the produce department is super nice and helpful, always : )
Each of them goes out of their way to take care of their customers.

SAKER FAMILY OWNERS

This is an open complaint to the WEALTHY Saker Family!!
The more stores they open, the higher the $$$. Employee pay is low. Family member worked there a bit. Turnover is INSANE. Sakers, give the hard working middle class a break!
Pure greed.

make sure and check all experatition dates

every week i go, and every week prices go up and up, try finding a peice of meat thats not semi brown???? red meat whats that??? chicken lable over lable, old chicken, and they get away with it??? how??? lastest bs save 29 cents, must buy 4??? are people really that hard up to save 29 cents. and it will expire in like 4 days lol. people dont read, they throw it in the basket. bread 7.00 look at experatiton dates, most expire in 3 days for 7.00 go to aldi and pay 2.25 and it usualy last for a week. get smart acme is the same. only little higher in their rip off of prices. coffee mate 32 oz know is 5.99 thats joke of the week. wegmans is better, and not that pricey either, go check it out. i did and im happy, and everything is so so fresh. im amazed. some things are pricy, and some things are cheeper, but everything is fresh as hell

As acustomer of any store experience should be a pleasure, or at least pleasant

As a customer of any store, I try not to complain unless it is really irritating. The manager or management needs to be informed and added level of demand and aggravation. Is this digital coupon system ShopRite has come up with why not just give the discount on the newspaper coupon or just get the discount. If you are a ShopRite member, the app that we need to download to a phone heaven for bid you forget your password and then you were instructed to email ShopRite so that they can reset the password will give you the opportunity to do so four times now I emailed ShopRite told them forgot my password Never wants to reply. Just crickets, so it is blatantly obvious to me that they want to make life a little bit more difficult for the average senior citizen shopper, such as myself enclosing, living in New Jersey, dealing with New Jersey traffic, and all that that entails, rudeness stupidity and general lack of kindness driving to the supermarket is a challenge, but when you get there now you need to jump through the hoops to not only get the sale prices on the things that are on sale, but now you need to go to a special terminal in order to access the digital coupons or use it the app that is if you haven’t forgotten your password, so we will go back to Kings even though we don’t like their prices, but the level of aggravation is much less and as far as help goes when you have a problem in ShopRite my experience with that is good luck and the attitude is I’m doing you a favor by helping you sorry I’ll take my business somewhere else .

this is the second message regarding…

this is the second message regarding the delivery conditions in this store it has been going on for so long i don't know where to start i don't get my delivery on time the driver will drop off the order too the wrong address and by the time i get someone to help frozen products are toughed ice cream is melted lats week the drivers were fighting over the order in the store and the delivery department wanted to cancel my order till the next day with my dinner in it after 4 hours later I want some kind of compensation and i don't mean 20.00 i mean my order for free a matter of fact i like to be called and if i don't answer leave me a voice mail where i can call directly back to who i can talk with this is out of hand help help
