Im a 40 year SR shopper. My experience with Shoprites in Monmouth County NJ was always good. However moving to Burlington County 4 years ago the SR stores here are very low quality and higher prices.... See more

Delivery service is terrible. Scheduled a delivery between 9-10. Did not show up until 11:30. And driver passes buck- Can no one be accountable anymore and just own up to their mistakes and/or ignorance.
Do all my household shopping with them
Do all my household shopping with this guys.
I love the scent in the meat section. Have fair and cheap prices
ShopRite of Riverhead
ShopRite of Riverhead, NY-it seems that after reading all the reviews that shoprite has changed their attitude about things. They used to be a lot better. Now they are tougher. And because of their new ways, they are losing profit and therefore must fight and use deception to try to gain that money back. Take, for example, yesterday’s shopping experience. An item was on sale but wasn’t on the shelf so a family member chose the wrong item thinking it was the right item. I will be returning that. Speaking of returns, the store makes it unpleasant to return something.! It’s not my life goal to spend extra time doing that. If your product was usable I would not have to return it.
The return policy of 30 days is interesting because what’s advertised is a stock up sale. How can you stock up past 30 days should something be wrong with the product. By the way, it’s a law in New York that all store policies are to be displayed. That 39 day policy should e visible.
Being turned away at self checkout due to having more than items in the cart-where is the sign. There’s no sign because there’s no policy. The employees are doing that to save jobs. Next time I will ignore when I am told to get off the line. I will say call the police.
Some food items are expired. I have to check every single item date. Sometimes it’s hard to see so I use my phone’s magnifier or flashlight.
Ever notice on their website that the cookie choices are not enabled. They can’t be turned off. It’s illegal to do that when it’s stated that it is a choice to change the cookies. And cookies really shouldn’t be used. Instead call them computer codes or codes. Nobody wants these codes. Every one wants cookies.
Online order for pickup always more money and customer notes not followed. That’s why you don’t see a lot of personal shoppers. Not worth the $4.99 for all the mistakes plus out of date or old food ends up in the bags.
I think the rough exterior being presented by employees is their way of trying to make you uncomfortable returning something or objecting to a wrong practice.
Prices are higher at this shoprite than other shoprites so I go to Aldi for paper goods now.
Reading these reviews were very enlightening.
If a store is being dishonest or doing anything you don’t like, you should check the law and report them. The FTC takes anonymous online complaints and so does the attorney general .

Best service, best treatment and wonderful customer service.
Employee was very rude when my DoorDash…
Employee was very rude when my DoorDash card wasn’t working. The ShopRite in Hamden is hard to get service on cellphone’s so it took a minute to get it to work. But the employee yelled across the registers very loud and. YOUR FOOD STAMP CARD ISNT WORKING? I said no it’s my DoorDash card . Then she says oh and walks away without helping me. I felt bad for people who might be using there snap card. Very rude and unprofessional! Who’s training the employees? I’ll never shop here again!
Great store, great people.
Why are the prices up and the fruits…
Why are the prices up and the fruits are molding?? These spoiling fruits should be half price or replaced with fresh fruits if you're going to raise the price. I bought red raspberries and strawberries and they are not fresh. Let's not get sloppy now!! I thought I picked the best looking ones but they are no better than what I saw. Raspberries looked dried out and the strawberries had mold in most of the packs!! Shoprite located @ 11100 Roosevelt Blvd 19116
half of my online order was missing
half of my online order was missing. Called to check on order from west Caldwell and got a very snotty rep. The snow delayed the delivery, but how can i PREPARE MEALS IF THE ORDER IS MISSING SO MANY THINGS? NO CALL, NO SUBSTITUTIONS, JUST A SHRUG OF SHOULDERS AND ShopRite tried TO MAKE ME FEEL BAD ABOUT BEING Disappointed. All in all Ill go with live shopping. The phone people are rude, and the shoppers suck at their jobs.
What doesn't make sense to me is the same complaints throughout the chain in the tri-state, and nothing improving. It could be Sterling, Millburn, West Caldwell, they all suck for the same reasons. So writing this I see that it doesn't matter, they are unconcerned as long as the profit is there. What happens when ALL of the customers you treat badly stop showing up? This is not the kind of store that should be selling anything. Just a bunch of profiteers who could not care less how they treat people. Its a pit.

The security acts like a bunch of gangsters and are very disrespectful to customers

Shoprite of hauppage dont shop three…
Shoprite of hauppage dont shop there they hire kids who are "mgrs" and are so rude , I wanted just to exchange a bag of green beans they wouldn't allow it because it was a month over the 7 day rule even though I had my receipt! Chris the so called mgr said too bad sorry he even didn't offer me a rain check aren't customers always right ?
Shoprite 1080 McDonald Avenue and Avenue I Brooklyn
I've already made my feelings known, but I feel compelled reiterate it at the risk of losing what few brain cells I have left. While shopping at Shoprite I again experienced having someone disrupt me while checking out. This time it was female employee from the meat department who never even acknowledged me. Shoprite turns a blind eye to what goes on.

Those ppl have attitude and when I asked questions they just talk to me like they own the store and the other lady looked at me rudely and idk why but no more 😒
The Shoprite in Mansfield NJ has the…
The Shoprite in Mansfield NJ has the unhappiest, rudest, most unprofessional employees. The only thing they are good at doing is hounding you when youre in the self-checkout line to make sure you scanned items under your cart!! Can you pls give me a chance to scan items IN my cart first?? OMG, they are relentless in asking. I had two "associates" ask me today. Heaven forbid you ask any worker an innocent question in ANY dept, they dont even look up. The fact that they are part of a union has ruined shoprite workers. Now they think they dont have to do their jobs and can be rude and nasty to customers because they have the union behind them. Ill pay a little more to shop elsewhere. Good riddance.
Money market number change
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. My company send me a voucher via Shoprite and following the links,I then opened an app account but I was not aware that I had to use the number which my company used to load the voucher. I have been trying to change my number on that app for tje past 3 days, using thier provided number 0800 01 07 09 and email help@********.co.za,both these channels couldn't assist me with such a request I even called thier head office number and to my surprise and disappointment,I was rudely told to use the two platforms which I have dismally failed from.
I love shopping here for the sales…
I love shopping here for the sales however they have gotten really sneaky with their sales and signs. I am a senior on a fixed income and I always make my list including the price it is advertised for according to their website and flyer and I make sure I always do the digital coupons. It's a shame how they get you I always pay almost twice as much because their sale prices are not what they actually mean. So be careful for the big surprise I would definitely call it highway Robbery and worst of all taking advantage of the seniors.
terrible delivery and customer service
Terrible delivery and customer service: Plainview branch. Its an utter shambles as my order was first delayed and then cancelled and then I received no updates after which some items arrived in poor condition, left outside without any notice. I am being charged for items that did not arrive and the delay in delivery means the perishable food was spoilt. Customer service is uninterested and incompetent and cannot resolve issues or even issue a refund!! Will not order/shop from there anymore. I rang for a refund of missing items but was made to hold for ages and repeat myself endlessly - no promises we're made and no refund issued. This is not how you provide a service- Its just shocking!
The Enfield ShopRite needs help!
The Enfield, CT store is wonderful, overall. however, the bakery leaves a lot to be desired. Pies are terrible. Most of the stuff pales in comparison to Big Y. Selling french bread in a bag marked Italian bread does not make it so. The garlic bread is tasteless and void of garlic. As for the cakes, I have no complaints. The female baker I deal with does a wonderful job. The produce dept could use a update.
Shoprite delivery is probably the worst…
Shoprite delivery is probably the worst delivery service I have ever dealt with. Plus good luck trying to get any resolution for delivery issues (eg. Delivery that never shows up but they are quick to charge your card). You can't reach out to any customer service people unless you go into store and put in a complaint and get money back. Stay away from shop rite!!!
Never Again
I went to the self-checkout at the Shoprite in Garnerville, NY. Every time this one employee is at the self-checkout lanes she gives me a hard time, and today was no different. My mother put her pocketbook on the bagging counter which caused an error. I told my mother don't put your bag there to which this empolyee told me not to yell at her (which I did not do). The employee and I exchanged some words and then I proceeded to curse her out. I am upset at myself for losing my temper but this was a long time in coming.
