ShopRite is still filthy with crabby employees

I just saw that I reviewed this ShopRite a few years ago because it is so scuzzy. Its still scuzzy and everyone who works there that I came across is miserable and cranky. ( always have been too not new due to lack hirable people) Nice selection of stuff, great sales but this place is a terrible place to shop. Kills a good mood in minutes! I guess I have to shop at Acme. This seems like serious greed to never upgrade a place of business that gets so much business. Also, maybe train employees in proper customer service or just hire people that aren’t so miserable!

Managers sleeping on the job.

I’m disabled for starters, so I shop online. Even if I wasn’t, last year I did a number on my right rotator cuff. In October I broke my left shoulder. Needless to say I can’t drive to the store Every time they can’t complete my order. Since Covid, which has been one excuse, There has been an average of 3-8 items they are out of stock. OR always a more expensive substitution. Its not a big deal to them, because it sounds like they’re understaffed, and they’re all like that. And who cares, because all the Stop and Shop is the same way. So they have no incentive to do better. I have Never had a complete order. So now you have to place another order, for another service fee, and of course you’ll buy more, so that sounds like an intentional marketing move. What shall we do, we the people???🙄🧐🤨🤬

Orange CT Shop Terrible Managers

Orange CT Shop rite. Advertised crawfish at $5.00 a pound in error. We say in error because at the register 2 lbs came to $25.00. Despite their acknowledgement of being the wrongly priced. 2 separate managers said they would not sell it for less or apologize for their error. I now see why they are rated 2 star.

I called the Eddystone store for their HR or Marketing Department contact information and the male who answered the phone seemed not to know what HR or marketing was. While speaking with a "supervisor" with attitude, she did not know either. A second female response was" what is it pertaining to and how can we help you" all with attitude. I just wanted a good contact phone number or email address. When I called back again, the representative greeted me again with attitude and advised me that the supervisor wanted to know what I wanted the number for, after confirming she did not know what the marketing department details are, hung up on me. I am so glad I was not a secret shopper, they all deserved an F

Disgusted

ad a horrific experience yesterday, the Watergate Shoprite manager was so rude to customers and he was drunk while on duty. Ordered his friends to not stand in the queue like everyone else and they went to the front to pay while we were standing there not being assisted and when customers questioned why he was doing that he said we must go to hell. His name is Shaun

SHOP RITE DOG'S POLICY!!!!

I went to Shop Rite at Tuckahoe Rd with my small 9lb puppy. When an employee approached me in a rude manner and practically shouted at me saying “you are not allow to have a dog in the shopping cart”

I told him, may I put it on the floor, and he just shouted “not on the shopping cart, not on the floor, you have to carry her.

I told him, she is wearing a diaper, but he again repeated the same, “not in the shopping cart, not on the floor, you have to carry her, it is the policy, no dogs allowed ” in a very loud voice.

She is just a puppy, and she was wearing a diaper, because I am careful to avoid any accident with her.

I went to customer service, carrying my little puppy and again this guy passed and saw me and looked at me in a very bad way, I told him, i am going to complain to the manager, and he replied to me “do it, I don’t care”.

I think this is not the way that an employee should treat a customer, that is why I got so upset. He could have approached me in a polite way and explained the situation because I just went to Shop Rite with my little girl last Friday and nobody told me anything.

Shop Rite should train people how to approach the customer, i felt so disappointed because I used to go to Shop Rite twice a week and sometimes at Stop & Shop, and they never told me anything about my little girl and she always wore a diaper. Shop Rite should be more flexible and allow small dogs to walk in the store with a diaper.

Rainchecks…

I have been shopping at the ShopRite on Roosevelt Blvd.for years. I was a little disappointed with how the store rearranged the aisles. The shopping experience was and still is frustrating.
My most recent experience was frustrating because I was unable to purchase/ get a raincheck on the two day ad including butter. I went to purchase the butter which was on sale and a great deal especially for the holidays. The store was out of the product, therefore I went to get a raincheck, but because I did not have the RIGHT ad ( I had the weekly ad???,) I could not get the raincheck. It was VERY unfair. Rainchecks in the past were no problem! They make you jump through hoops to try a get a sale item and save a little bit of money.
I may be shopping at the neighborhood Giant from now on. It should not be So difficult to buy sale items etc.
In closing, I know it is not the employees fault,(they are always very helpful,) but instead its corporate. They
need to retink their policies.

The day of Thanksgiving I went into the…

The day of Thanksgiving I went into the W. Nyack NY store and picked up a cornish hen (2 in a pack) I went to check out and not only did I try a few times to scan the item it did not scan. So a worker came over and she tried several times then left and came back with the same item. At this point I am getting frustrated so she then left without saying a word. Eventually a young man came over and assisted me properly. If those that work with customers and don't know how to handle a customer then maybe Shoprite should hold there standards better this is the second complaint I had at this location.

Platter order and delivery

Ordered 2 sandwich platters, fruit kabobs and the cannoli chips with dip. The sandwiches were arranged beautifully and stuffed. The kabobs were fresh and delish...and the cannoli chips n dip was a hit. The service was excellent ShopRite called me to go over order and make sure address and contact information was correct and called when the order left to be delivered. Shoprite of Toms River (on 37) thank you so much...platters were perfect ♥️

if this is shopping rite I'd rather be wrong

couldn't pay me to go back in that store. finding what you're looking for is impossible. you have to wander around and hope you happen to stumble upon it. you could ask for help but you'll just be waved in a general direction "I think it's that way"
you guys ever think maybe you should make the platform at self check out capable of holding the same amount as a cart? must be the same genius who designed the layout. if this is showing rite I'd rather be wrong

I was amazed at shop rite bakery

I was amazed at shop rite bakery! The rolls and other pastries have become so small, but same price, that are no longer worth buying. Settled for prepackaged rolls brought in. When I see products that have shrunk and stay the same price I move on.
