Went to see Wicked and from the very start the experience was positive. Box off ...brilliant with the super friendly and helpful Jessica, who is a real credit to the company. Our experience was just so lovely, the food counter people are helpful friendly. Thank you all for our trip out to see Wicked for the 3rd time. It was the last 3d showing at 20.45 and we really enjoyed it. We had for the second time the whole cinema to ourselves.

Visited Showcase cinema Peterborough to watch Gladiator ll. While I appreciate stock levels can sometimes be challenging, if items are not available I think it would be more effective if customers were advised. In this case they had no maltesers, revels and unbelievably no bottled water. In addition and is often the case, there are signs of food on the floor and both our seats were ripped. While I'm not expecting perfection, the building does feel very tired and could do with some TLC. The main concern being no bottled water!

Horrible Experience at Avonmeads Showcase Cinema

I would like to inform you of my horrible experience at Cinema Showcase Avonmeads on the 29th October for the showing of Venom: The Last Dance which was booked for 14:10.
After buying a ticket for myself and my son who is 15 years old and has EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndromes), when I was about to start the check in process, I was stopped by one of the employees as they stated my son did not look old enough, even though the tickets have already been purchased.
They asked for a form of ID which I did not have on hand so I had to drive back home to get the only ID available (birth certificate and doctor and hospital letters which showed proof of name and date of birth).
When I returned with the documentation, the employee did not want to accept this and called over a manager who stated the documents provided cannot be accepted because "you could get those from anywhere". After going back and forwards they would not let me in without "a photographic ID like a passport" to which I have advised that my son does not have one at his age, also because he is unable to travel due to his condition.
Having wasted all this time driving back to get the documents, the manager has still refused to let us through even with the documentation provided, my son started crying and said "this disability is ruining my life" which broke my heart.
I have visited this cinema multiple times with my family and I've never had any issues, even last time when we watched Deadpool and Wolverine.
Extremely unhappy with the experience I have had, mainly because it broke my son - you have to do better.
Regards,
Miranda

Dated, stale and too cold!

Super dated seats, stale popcorn and stale nachos and charges more than, what I would call, much better cinemas! Management don't consider customer service important and some of the staff have been quite rude to us over the years. Finally leaving a review after having a negative experience last night - everything was stale and chewy and our seats were not comfortable and the cinema room was FREEZING! I’d advise to go elsewhere. I will be from now on. Last night was the final show!

didn't confirm, took payment anyway!

was ordering via the app, wanted to add meerkat movies code, not clear where to add it so I added my card thinking it would display the voucher code section after this, as soon as I added my card it charged me for the full price tickets! No where to cancel or amend booking online, shocking service. YOU CAN'T TAKE PEOPLE'S MONEY AND BOOK WITHOUT THE CUSTOMER CONFIRMING THIS FIRST, YOU BETTER REFUND ME!!!!!
UPDATE: contacting a 'dave' in customer service, he's accused me of basically being thick and not understanding how card payments work online and warned me not to abuse staff?
Said they can't do refunds over the phone or email, huh? So I've got to go in and beg a duty manager for a refund, what on EARTH IS GOING ON.
Your business hasn't got a very long shelf life has it.

Great experience in the x plus screens worth the extra money . My only complaint is booking fee of £1 a ticket as you only get your barcode scanner by usher this speeds up process that I like but as no actual physical tickets produced I can’t see how a cost occurred . Recommend x plus to all .

Visited showcase Avon meads with my two daughters and elderly mum.
Had the worst experience with a member of staff. Was called a weirdo and started down leaving me feeling threatened. He had to be removed by the manager due to his behaviour. I have contacted showcase multiple times and no response.
I will never go to a showcase cinema anywhere again

profound disappointment and frustration regarding the abysmal customer service

Dear Management,

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding the abysmal customer service I received at Lux Cinema Bluewater on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 7 PM. The employee in question, Tracy, displayed a shocking lack of courtesy, professionalism, and knowledge of company policies that left a lasting negative impression.

From the moment I approached the ticket counter, Tracy's demeanor was nothing short of rude and dismissive. Her tone was abrasive, and she made no effort to provide the basic level of courtesy expected in customer service. It was evident that she had little to no understanding of the policies, as she struggled to answer simple inquiries and handled the transaction with an air of irritation and impatience.

The manner in which Tracy interacted with customers is wholly unacceptable for anyone working in a front-of-house position. Her attitude and behavior are not only damaging to the reputation of Lux Cinema Bluewater but also deeply disheartening for loyal patrons like myself. Tracy's conduct was so off-putting that it has led me to reconsider frequenting your establishment, despite it being a long-time favorite of my family and friends.

For the remainder of the Summer 2024 movie season, we will be seeking alternative theaters that value and respect their customers. It is my strong recommendation that Tracy be reassigned to a role that does not involve direct interaction with the public. Her current placement is detrimental to the customer experience and undermines the high standards that Lux Cinema Bluewater is known for.

I hope you take this complaint seriously and take the necessary actions to ensure that such an unpleasant encounter does not occur again. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
ROA

Moreover....

I want to express my utter dissatisfaction with the customer service I received during my visit to Lux Cinema Bluewater on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 7 PM. My previous complaint concerned the behavior of Tracy at the ticket counter, but unfortunately, my experience worsened significantly when I attempted to escalate the matter to the manager, Terry.

Terry's conduct was not only unprofessional but also astoundingly rude and unhelpful. His dismissive attitude and blatant disregard for customer concerns were shocking. Rather than addressing my complaint with the seriousness it deserved, Terry was condescending and hostile, making the entire situation even more frustrating. His lack of basic customer service skills and inability to manage the situation appropriately were glaringly apparent.

It is incomprehensible that someone with such poor interpersonal skills holds a managerial position. Terry's behavior was the absolute worst I have ever encountered from a manager in any establishment. His actions demonstrate a complete lack of suitability for a role that involves interacting with the public. Frankly, Terry should not be working with people or even animals, given his appalling demeanor and lack of empathy.

The experience with Terry has left me with no choice but to reconsider my patronage of Lux Cinema Bluewater. My family and friends have always enjoyed our visits to your theater, but this incident has severely tarnished our perception. We will be exploring other options for our movie outings this summer and beyond.

I urge you to take immediate and decisive action regarding Terry's conduct. It is crucial for the reputation of Lux Cinema Bluewater and the satisfaction of your customers that such behavior is not tolerated and that appropriate measures are taken to prevent future occurrences.

Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.

Very rude manager

I left a favourable review of the cinema at Bluewater some time ago, on the basis it was comfortable with good facilities. However, on the latest family visit, the experience was soured but an extremely rude manager (I believe his name was Mark). My son (who is an adult) was looking at a scrolling price list for snacks, on display in the foyer. As the display was scrolling my son photographed it to view options at his leisure. The manager was walking past, prodded my son on his shoulder and shouted “stop taking photographs “ and carried on walking. I am not aware if there was actually a rule not to photograph the menu, but even if there was a polite request rather than a shout would have been more appropriate. My son was taken aback but asked “well is there a written menu” the manager just walked off and called out “no” as he walked away with his back to my son.
This is a nice cinema but the experience today was ruined but a rude and highly unprofessional member of staff.

Gallery in Bluewater con.

Gallery seats at Bluewater are significantly more expensive than normal seats. But the understanding was that you would receive some snacks and drinks with the ticket price. That used to be the case but now these have been scaled back in a cost cutting drive. You receive a choice of one small pot of chocolates or nuts etc and a hot drink or juice. No water or soft drinks etc. It's a total rip off.

Southamptom Showcase - Bad management

Went to see Dune II- Delux screening. Part way through the film I noticed recliner was not working. After the 3hr epic, complained about issue & the manager said I should have come out and informed the staff and they would have fixed the problem. I don't think getting up part way through an epic, with pricey seats would have gone down well with the other viewers and then to get someone to diagnose the problem and plug the seat in correctly. Manger assisted I should have done this and was very impolite of ways. Showcase Southampton - Delux Screen 6, row H, seat 14 (7:00pm showing) - manager name Wezi (Small stocky person)
