josh behind the bar is an absolute geezer, started talking about music as my Spotify started playing found out he likes suicide boys (great band) told him I like the smiths and he taught me how to pull women 😎 and poured me a great apple juice
website is shocking
the cinema itself is good - if you can even manage to book it and get past the website that doesn’t let you book anything. you cannot even get through to booking the tickets - website is a shambles!
Extremely buggy
buggy website. Doesn't work on edge, and on a normal browser it constantly gives errors preventing from making a purchase
Daylight Robbery
I cannot believe the absolute scandal of the prices charged for a small bag of sweets, £3.90 per bag, drinks and popcorn are extortionate. It cost £50 for a some nibbles and I would feel embarrassed to work there and let people pay this. People want a treat with the family and you make it so so hard for people. It truly is daylight robbery.
Showcase has a no refund policy
Showcase has a no refund policy. Even when it is their fault you can’t see the movie. They will claim this is their T&C - BUT their T&Cs are counter to consumer legislation. If this happens to you fight it through every channel.
To start of my showcase experience I…
To start of my showcase experience I decided I fancied a Guinness so I approached the sky bar on the second level… I noticed Gregory there, was serving behind the bar and I asked to pour me a pint and which he did perfectly may I add, he did exceptional customer services and made me feel extremely comfortable within the cinema facilitates ps this is Winnersh showcase
Very Disappointed
My husband and I decided to go and watch Mission Impossible and as we were a little early we stood in a queue for over ten minutes for an alcoholic drink to take in with us only to be told that as it was a PG cert and we were not allowed to take one in with us . There was no signs or anything to say this was the case . We have been to other cinema chains that do not have this rule . We are both in our 60s so are well aware of the legal restrictions for under age sales .Totally disappointed and will not be returning.
Don't bother paying for the better screen.
Paid extra for the 2d plus screen thinking I was going to get a better experience and a free box of sweets. Nope, the screen size looked the same, the Dolby surround sound was non-existent and no free sweeties. I asked the manager why there were no sweeties and he said I had to pay an extra £8 for them, hardly free then!. The dialogue has so much 'bass' that it was difficult to understand most of the male voices. Overall a rip-off experience.
Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service. No point in contacting Showcase. They will not respond to complaints.
terrible customer service
terrible customer service. i have message twice now on the contact form and have had no response. the first one 26/2/2023 and the second 27/3/2023. there is no phone number and the reply email to the initial contact is a do not reply so you have no way of actually contacting someone.
Went to Showcase Teesside
Went to Showcase Teesside. Petrol snacks all the stuff.
We were told it would be a bit cold coz their heating was broken.
Still the same price.
It was FREEZING
We got a voucher refund so now we have to buy more petrol to go back down and probably pay for more snacks.
Not ideal.
THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE THROUGHOUT. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PARTICULAR CINEMA
Sunday 12th February 2023 went to the Bargedie Coatbridge to see the new Gerard Butler movie plane.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience from going into the main foyer to coming out again.
Very comfy seats.
Covid safe as there were literally about 8 people in there including us.
Pleasant staff.
Very highly recommended & we're already planning our next visit.
Well done you all spanked it.
Thank you to everyone for such a great afternoon out.

Peterborough Showcase Good cinema rip off web site
Peterborough Showcase, great cinema no issues its your rip off booking of a web site.
For me to buy a ticket direct logged in as an insider for a child £9.25 adult £13.45. Ok fair enough thats your prices... i have access to a site that will give me the tickets for child £7.70 adult £10.30... nice! when you enter the codes into the cinema website you get a few addons.....
They charge you £1.50 per code THEN they charge you £1.60 ADMIN. CHARGE taking the total from £15.10 to £19.70.
Rip off.
Great experience
Little family treat to watch a movie, more expensive than other cinemas but well worth the experience. Lovely seats feels more like an arm chair. Cinema was very clean and tidy
Nottingham, terrible customer service
Nottingham. What can I say! Abysmal customer service, no empathy whatsoever from Jonathan Taft (supposed duty manager), I will never set foot inside Showcase Nottingham due to the contempt we were treated with by this member of staff 😡
Even the senior management have no desire to deal with customer complaints, for something as simple as basic customer service
What a huge disappointment !
What a huge disappointment !! Went to showcase Lux in Leeds and a gang youths talking all through the film and getting their mobile phones out. Destroyed our cinema experience.
Never ever going to Showcase cinema again!!
I booked the cinema in bluewater as a treat for a family memeber
I booked the cinema in blue water as a treat for my mum on her birthday. Due to unforeseen circumstances I have had to cancel. I’ve asked for a refund due to the situation and because I do not live close to bluewater so unlikely to go for some time and been told no. Whatever the reason is they will not refund and will only send credit. Was told even if the person going to the cinema trip has died there would be no refund allowed! Shocking! Will never using this cinema again!
Their fault yet no refund!
The website allowed me to book 2 tickets for the 'Dio' movie. The movie poster was shown above the time options so I booked. The same movie poster was also on my booking confirmation screen. On the day, I was told that my cinema didn't even have this movie and I'd actually been booked into a Shakespeare film! I was then told they don't give refunds despite this being their fault and not mine. Then I was told if I contact customer services they would be able to see I didn't attend the Shakespeare film and send me a voucher for 2 tickets to another movie of my choice instead of a refund. Still I've heard nothing. £37 lost and no communication from showcase despite telling them I have a screenshot to prove what I'm saying is true.
Winnersh cinema is utterly brilliant
The winnersh cinema is utterly fantastic, clean with helpfull staff and the bar upstairs is as nice as any hotel bar. Gregory on the bar is also a brilliant member of staff and a credit to Showcase.
Very Poor Customer Service
We've gone to Showcase Cinema for years, never bothered to collect rewards until Dec 21. My daughter decided to collect rewards & save them ready for Avatar Way of Water in Dec 22 so she could purchase a Gallery Seat. Little did we know (yes we should have checked) that the reward points are only valid for 9 months. Several times after being asked if we wanted to spend rewards she's told staff "no I'm saving them for Dec" & not one person as ever told her they were only valid for 9 months, so, her £18 suddenly reduced to £9. I contacted Customer Service & received what I class as a really abrupt reply...... It read......
Insider rewards are valid for 9 month period from the date that they are earned.
You did have rewards that were earned on transactions in August, September and October 2021, but these have all expired after 9 months and expired on 1 June, July and August 2022.
You also have £6.24 in active rewards with an expiry date of 1 October 2022.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
So her £18 reduced to £9 & is now about to reduce to £3 & really rubbish Customer Service. I think we'll go Odeon or Cineworld in future.
