Stealth charges when calling them
On top of extortionate pricing (which you kind of expect) they charged us a few pounds for calling ahead to check ticket availability - their number is premium rate and not included in free minutes with your mobile provider. Shocking.
Booked online tickets for autism…
Booked online tickets for autism screening for myself, husband and child went through booking process to be told when I got to the cinema that I had booked the wrong ones and missed the autism screening.
Wouldn’t provide a refund.
Plus the only do the one showing for autism children/adults at 10am on the second Sunday of every month
Shame really
Appalling the one in blue water
Appalling the one in blue water, my daughter n her friends went there to watch Annabelle cause they brought the wrong tickets. They’re wasnt allowed in cause they didn’t have I’d. They took £9.25 of my girls and when they asked for a refund just because they brought wrong tickets they said no and got very rude to them even the manager. Very immature act the girls weren’t able to eat and went home starving cause they literally scam them. I would sue them if I could be bothered never going there again. Cineworld and odean way much better
Used the one in Reading
Used the one in Reading. Was very clean and a nice cinema (food was expensive but to be expected).

Terrible customer service - AVOID
Oh dear... reading the reviews below.. it seems Peterborough has a trend for bad customer service. Can’t say I’m surprised!
Purchased some tickets online from a work perks website recently for my sister, without realising I purchased ‘showcase’ rather than ‘showcase delux’. You would assume this would be easily remedied? Unfortunately not, I advised the cinema as these were e tickets, refunds and exchanges were not possible. The difference would have been a few pounds which I kindly advised we would be happy to pay, I assumed as with other respectable establishments discretion would be used as neither myself or my sister live anywhere near a Showcase cinema and I would be left with tickets that cannot be used.
I received a response advising the tickets cannot be used in this cinema and I will need to request a refund/exchange where purchased... which I already advised was not possible. Listening not their strong point it seems!
I haven’t mentioned my sister and her 2 little excited boys (6yrs and 4yrs) had attended the cinema only to be turned away because of the error with the tickets. It was mid morning and the cinema was empty!
Shame on you, hope it’s worth it.
AVOID. What a shambles!!!

Birstall branch is terribly going down hill. Me and my daughter had to leave because of rowdy teenagers on Saturday night an the attendants wouldn't do anything about it. Not impressed.
Mary Queen of Scots 10/10
Mary Queen of Scots.
Absolutely fabulous film, both leading ladies were brilliant.
Set in the 15th century the storyline kept you tottally involved throughout the film.
Great cast ,Great period setting made even more special by the beautiful Scottish landscape.
10/10
As always the Showcase cinema was a great place to watch this epic film not forgetting the always friendly staff.
My suggestion is don't wait for it to come on TV ...."go and watch it on the big screen".
Still good value for money compared to other social activities. 👍

The Derby Deluxe Branch is a nice enough cinema but often the staff aren't the best compared to Odeon down the road.
The director hall is very overpriced for what it is as for £5 less Odeon offer far better reclining seats that also have a table in.
My only one complaint I've had in all the years it's been open (complaint was last December) was completely ignored by the manager.
Showcase, you really need to try better imo.
Disgusting Screens Leeds.
Disgusting Screens Leeds.
The last time we visited (4 months ago) we complained about how dirty the screen was, along with distorting sound. We were sent a letter saying they would look into it. We visited tonight and guess what the screen was disgusting. So dirty any solid white on screen and its obvious. We were sat close to the back this time but it was still blatent. It totally ruins the film. The screen was screen 4. I cant remember the screen we had last but it wasnt 4.
The price you pay to watch a film at the cinema along with £4.40 for not much more than a can of coke sized drink, the least you could do is clean the screens. I will visit once more to give them a final chance (mainly because the seats are lush) but beyond that theyve lost a customer.
Too expensive for anything less than spot on and it just wasnt.

Trying to organise a refund for over a month now takes 2 working weeks for any sort of reply then get told to contact my local branch which is fine I’m happy to do that EXCEPT they don’t answer the phones been trying for over 20 minutes this morning (already been hung up on) tried yesterday and the day before absolutely shocking customer service Peterborough teach your incompetent staff to actually do their job and pick up a phone
Online ticket problems
Online ticket problems
Booked ticket this morning and did not get email confirmation as promised . I emailed company but did not get a confirmation that ticket was valid . Had to phone up at a cost of at least 13p per minute plus costs . Eventually I spoke to someone who confirmed my ticket was valid.
Very poor IT very unsettling and no way of getting any redress . I see there is a similar complaint below .
I hope someone contacts me about this soon.
I believe the Cinima is very good , would be nice if they got the ticket part right as well.
Apart from the 60p per ticket gift card booking fee it was a super cinema experience!
Showcase Winnersh is the place to go to watch a good movie. Plenty of free parking, luxury reclining seats and a Costa on-site.
Only 4 stars because I do not believe it is fair to charge a 60p per ticket online booking fee when I was paying with a gift card.
Showcase Uddingston.
I am a regular cinema goer and Showcase is my local multiplex. The theaters themselves are fine, no issue there and the staff are also helpful.
Periphery stuff annoys me though.
Cineworld have a loyalty card which gives reasonable discounts to regular viewers. The Showcase Insider card i comparison holds an extremely limited value.
The food/drinks are extortionate. If you go for the popcorn do not be embarrassed to tell them to fill it up properly as they have a habit of missing out the top inch of the container. After all you are paying absolutely top dollar for it.
Email their customer services with any type of complaint and you will find they just ain't interested.
Sadly "gives us your money and shut up" is the mantra at Showcase.
Costs Alot
Comfy Seats and nice big 4k screen. But it costs WAY too much, Once spent £100 on small drinks for 2 People (+ £60 for the film)
